These shoes are awesome and skate great in my opinion especially when skating tech, they do run a tad bit small I just get a half size bigger than I normally wear and no issues what so ever and fit perfect I remove stock insoles and replace with custom insoles which I do with all my shoes and really enhances the comfort and performance of the shoe, if you're reading this NB please don't discontinue, these are great shoes my board flicks perfect with these that is all thank you!

Pretty confident all the negative reviews are due to these shoes running 1/2 to a full size small. I don't know why shoe companies do this. In any event, once you find your proper size, the 345s are the shizzle. Great feel, super clean, and total glue foot on the board. If and when NB discontinues them, I'm gonna be disappointed.

Comfortable, stylish, and performance ready. This shoe comes with a quality insole. No complaints at all. Favorite skate shoe so far and at a great price.

Fit well. Haven't skated in yet, but seem like good shoes.

Had these shoes for close to a year. Worn 5 days a week, skating, biking, walking about 5 miles a day, in sun, rain, snow, and mud. If i cleaned the white sidewall of the sole they would still look brand new, even after a Chicago winter. Feel great on my feet and on the board, and some of the most durable shoes I've ever owned. They look great too, and because no one else has them people take notice;

I like the shoes they are so comfortable to wear. I like the choice of colors you too. I always shop my shoes from Zappos. Good prize, better quality.

I like the overall look of these sneakers, got the black suede. Not sure how I feel about the leather tongue with big "new balance" text stamped on it?

The shoes right out the box were extremely comfortable. They fit pretty true to size. They skated pretty amazingly. They have a great grippy sole, amazing board feel, and pretty strong suede. Ive had them for around 5 months now and they are still as comfortable as ever and skate great. The only flaw I noticed was that after only the first four weeks the sole near the heel started to try and seperate. It hasnt fallen apart or anything and it isnt really visible to anybody else unless you look closely. Aside from the build quality though, I'd definitely recommend to anybody looking for a great shoe.

this is a nice, flexy vulc shoe... i was a big fan of the brighton that preceded this one, but whatever, they are no longer made, this will do

Look, feel, style: all 5-starts. Unfortunately the laces are too short so you can't possibly lace them up all the way. Am reaching out to New Balance now to see if they can't send replacement laces.

I broke my foot a while back and NB 501s have been a godsend for everyday wear. I needed a new pair of skate shoes so I was excited to try these. I was initially disappointed, as I found that with the included insole, the foot I had broken could never get comfortable- I think the elastic that holds the tongue down was pressing against a nerve in my foot that was exaggerated from my former injury. After swapping out the insoles with flatter ones (actually the ones from my 501s), they now feel great for skating. The soles are super grippy and the shoes have great flex/board feel. The outers have held up really well so far. Overall, I'm satisfied- I wish I didn't have to replace the insoles, but at least they come out easily unlike Vans.

Excellent grip and board feel. Very low profile but still maintains good heel lock. Runs a little small but the will loosen up after a few days.

These shows look really nice. They are uncomfortable though. After giving them a few weeks to break in I still find them very tight around the toe and the top of the foot. I even went up a half size from my normal size but these are still uncomfortable.

Good arch support, but I have worn size 12 shoes since high school. The entire shoe felt tight. Too short, not high enough "roof" on the toe area. Also the material felt hard and stiff, and the tongue kind of stuck into my ankle, but all that will probably break in over time. Ended up returning.
TLDR: If you do purchase these, buy a full sized bigger.

This shoe is very comforatable, but has an awful build. I bought this show and the sole starter to separate pretty early, so I bought another pair hoping it would be better, turns out it was even worse. Every seam started to undo and the sole also started to come apart.

Great, comfy shoe and stylish. About a month into owning the shoe, it began to seperate at the bottom and outer sole.

I bought these shoes a week before a trip to NYC. At first, they fit ok.. but as I started skating them they became constricting and uneven. the sole was too thick and the heel stitching rubbed my heel wrong. They were the only shoes I had so I had to walk/skate through NYC in discomfort

Owned this shoe for less than 3 months and the toe part of the midsole started to separate from the sole. I only use it for walking every weekend and i never even used it for skating
