I run at a pretty solid 8 1/2 so wasn’t sure if I should size up or down. I hoped for down, I was wrong. Reordering in the women’s 9.

Perfect fit! I only wear completely flat shoes and these fit the bill! I absolutely love them.

I first ordered the classic style with no buckle but they were way to tight. I have wide feet and a high instep. I returned those and purchased the yellow and red with the buckle. The red felt better at first and the yellow in the same size were tight on the top of my foot. My normal size is 8 1/2 - 9. I ordered a 9. I followed the salt water recommendation to soak them and wear until dry. They were immediately softer, had no rubbing and after doing this twice they fit great! Really comfortable and cute.

Size up- they rub your foot the first day on the top then they stretch and are great!! Love saltwaters- size up. Im an 8 to 8.5 and needed the 9

I bought the matching gold ones for my 3-year-old and I. Love them!! I normally wear women’s 8.5. I got the size 7/9 and they fit perfectly! They are also surprisingly comfortable!

I bought the Saltwater Original style in tan a few years and they have proven to be indestrcutable and only get better over time. However, even though the beautifully woven straps have some give to them across the front of my foot, and I have broken them in, I still feel like that style is for a slender, more lady like foot. I have a square, wide foot, and I am so happy with this classic style with a buckle because I am able to set it on the last hole and have a perfect, comfortable fit fresh out of the box. No break in time required! And I LOVE that I can walk through wet grass, puddles, and cool my feet in a creek in Saltwater sandals. They dry within minutes after total immersion in water. They do not get a funky smell like some other sports sandals I have tried. I walk a few miles a day and my feet have been comfortable in them on and after long walks, but there isn't much cushion, so I would not wear these 8 hours a day in a working on my feet situation. But they stay put and don't slip. I wear a 7.5 in dress shoes and sneakers (sometimes a wide, if available) and usually size down to 7 for Birkenstock style knock-offs, but in these I am a Youth6/Ladies8.

Love love love saltwater sandals!!!! I have a very wide foot and the woven originals feel super tight. I know they will stretch as I've had them in the past, but I love this buckle shoe. It fits immediately, though stiff and over time they get softer and softer and fit better and better. With the buckles ot allows me to adjust them once they are stretched out. I bought the mustard yellow and they are so fun and happy. I have a black pair from a couple years ago and they are my staple. I get tons of complaints on them all the time. Love that fun colors are available in the bigger size. Might order the olive ones. Can I suggest though. Emerald green please!!!!

Posting here just to give you all an idea of sizing. I have worn the Salt Water Originals (the ones with NO buckle across the toes) for 4 years, and purchased these Classics (with the buckle) to see how they compared. The soles are identical- I literally held them up back-to-back and it appears Salt Water uses the exact same sole cut and sizing for both styles. The size you take in an Original will fit you the same, length-wise, in a Classic. Because these can be adjusted across the vamp because of the buckle, however, they seemed to fit wider than the Originals. When you first put on a new pair of Originals, they are supposed to feel quite tight, and the box instructs you to get them wet and wear them so they stretch and conform to your feet. It seemed to me that these would not require such a break-in period; once they stretch, you'd simply tighten the buckle. Hope this helps.

These sandals look good...but do not feel good. The sole, even though thin and supposedly rubber (as typical of these types of sandals) is not what I expected - it very hard and inflexible. The seams on the sole protrude and you can feel the stitching - not comfortable at all.

Omgeee! I’m an adult and have wide feet these are cute and comfortable! Glad I could order a pair my size! I buy Salt Water Sandals for my kid every year, they never fail....

I got these shoes in the red, and I love them! They are so cheerful, and really good for taking my toddler to the park because they are easy to wash and don't get ruined by sand, water, dirt, food, etc. that is just a normal part of toddler life. Now I know why so many moms and kids have them. My feet changed size when I had a baby, and I went from 7.5 to 8, so I'm not sure how they run in terms of other size 8 shoes. But for me, I have a hard time fitting sandals comfortably because I have shorter toes and a longer and higher instep (if the straps fit my foot comfortably, the sole will usually be a little too long for my toes), and these are a surprisingly good fit, so maybe they run short in the toe box? No blisters from the straps even right out of the box. The only thing is that they don't have a ton of cushion on the bottom, so if I walk around in them all day, they will make the bottoms of my feet sore. But that's pretty common with a lot of summer sandals with thin soles (ex: Sam Edelman, etc.).

Cute and comfortable. Love the adjustable buckle at the front that can accommodate different widths. I bough the white and have worn them every day since the day I got them. Will probably come back for the cognac as well as my old pair need replacing and I love this style for a change. You can’t go wrong with Saltwater sandals!

The leather on these was a little stiff but that wasn't the problem. I know how to make leather softer. However, the shoe was too narrow and the strap was too short to buckle. My now middle aged children wore salt-water sandals as children and I loved this sandal's versatility, but these don't quite fit.

The ankle strap where it buckles is super short. I had to adjust my feet 3 times to get it on the lowest hole. I do not have large ankles but these made me believe I did. I also got the white retro and the ankle strap is at least an inch longer. There is not only no arch support but it actually dips down in the arch. They are not shoes made for comfort, there is no cushion/footbed. 6.5 wide is my actual size but I can often wear regular size 7. The footbed of these in 7 fits my foot perfectly. They are cute and I love the water resistant aspect for summer so I’ll figure out some way to make them work.

I have the same sandals from last year and they are PERFECT and I decide to get other color this year, but unfortunately they run smaller and not the same. I don't think I'll be wear them a lot(

I wanted a simple, classic sandal for summer & theses Salt Waters are great! The are simple & sleek, even on my size 10.5/11 foot. However, the shoes is super flat, which means is not great for walking about all day. Additionally, this style is not my favorites as it give me a little more toe cleavage than I would like, so I exchanged them for the knot style. For reference I normally wear a 10.5/11 and I ordered an 11 and they fit well.

I've worn the original Salt Water sandal for a long time, but this was the first time with this style (buckle at toes). My foot is a "narrow" so this made it easier for me to wear. The only thing I ask of the manufacturer is to put the inside sole stitching in a bit of a recess so the toes don't rub on the bottom.

Ok. I am a true 9.5 M. But there is only size 9 & 10 to choose from. So I went up to a size 10. {on the box says Euro 40-41) They fit like a 9. My toes are right to the edge of the sandal. The width is fine. I have a narrowish foot, and the sandal 'could' be a bit narrower for me but is ok. The thing is the length. It fits like an entire size shorter. So be aware when ordering. I was excited to find these but probably will not order more pairs even though I would have, had they fit better. If they can actually construct these true to size I would love to have had them in many colors. I am keeping these though I am hoping my toes don't rub on the stitching that should not be touching. Even following the instructions about wetting my feet these still caused blisters. I know once they mold to my feet they will be fine but I'm not there yet. Definitely not comfortable right out of the box. I know they will last though since my kids have been running around in these forever. I usually wear a size 7.5 in most shoes. These I had to size up to an 8.

So sad to say I had to return these. I'm normally a size 10, so I ordered the Big Kid 8, as recommended. But it is likely more than a full size too small. My toe was over the end. There's only one size bigger, and I don't think it'll cut it. I'm sad because they're so very cute! (Plus I have major nostalgia for having worn them as a kid.) If you're on the fence about which size to order, definitely go up at least a size. I'll just have to admire these on other people!

Fun sandals! Not good for long walks.

These sandals are my absolute favorites. I've worn them for 30,000 step days while traveling, no blisters and minimal foot fatigue. They go with everything, are classic, and last for years. My previous pair lasted 5 years with heavy use: travel, beach days, daily 4-5 mile works in my city. They're amazing.
