These shoes were comfortable to wear upon arrival. I have two pairs, dark grey and white silver; love them and have received nice compliments. I had to return for larger size. I normally wear 9 1/2 - 10 or 40 Euro; had to return for 11 or 41.

This shoe was much smaller than a size 9. It was also very narrow. I’ve been wearing Mephisto for 25 yrs and something has changed. They are smaller than marked with the last 6 pair I’ve tried. I’ve given up on Mephisto and am now wearing Thierry Rabotin and Beautifeel shoes. In my opinion Mephisto materials are not the high quality they used to be. I can compare the new one s to my old ones and the leather is a better quality and better made.

Nobody does it like Mephisto! The Comfort KING in my book. I slipped these on and my feet felt immediate joy..no breaking in period at all. In addition to the unquestionable comfort, the style rocks and I get tons of compliments. Absolutely my favorite sandals....so much so that I came back and bought a second pair in another color.

Beautiful shoe. The eight felt a little small and the 9 too big. So I'm returning them.

I have owned a number of Mephisto sandals and have been very happy with them. The two that I currently own are made of a sueded leather that doesn't cut into my feet. The leather on these sandals is hard and stiff. I could see that if I walked very far in them, I would have blisters. Even though they were attractive to look at, I sent them back.

I could not wear these because the uncomfortable arch dug into the bottom of my foot. They are heavy and felt like I was dragging rubber around. So so disappointed.

There is so much to like about this shoe. I am a 37/7 in Mephisto an this does run just a tiny bit shorter than my older shoes, but still fits my foot bed. I love the arch support in this style especially and it offers adjustments in the width and across the ankle. The problem area for me was the hard leather strap around the instep hit my ankle bone and was very uncomfortable. My other Mephisto,s in similar styles, are made of a softer suede leather and don’t have this issue . Still a beautiful shoe !

I sized up and I am glad I did.

I have a hard time finding comfortable shoes. I can wear these all day. They are fairly stylish. I like the gray/taupe color more than I thought I would.

Beautiful sandal and very comfortable - I have problematic feet and it is the rare sandal I can walk in for miles. It is my favorite casual sandal, I bought it in two colors.

I ordered size 12. It was NOT a size 12! Too short...

Mephisto is now using velcro closures, as oppposed to their former buckles. I was aware of those unattractive changes before I bought them, but the Mephisto size 39- which used to fit me very well ---is now slightly too short and slightly too narrow in the forefoot. That means the forefoot velcro cannot be closed all the way, which leaves a cheap piece of velcro--a different colored, non shiny patch --visually obvious on the forefoot. Arch support and cushioning is good. I would be willing to pay this price point--or more-- if these were the same fit and quality as two old pairs of Mephisto sandals I have worn over the last 25 plus years, a similar design. THe bottom, or sole of this shoe is excellent. The same sole is on the Phara and a fee more that start with P. It looks elegant dressed up or down, goes well w dresses, jeans or leggings. Best of all, it has good arch support, straight out of the box you can wear it for hours, i have three assorted pairs in different colors and styles with this same footbed. Highly recommend.

Bought these sandals for walking shoes. They fit the bill perfectly, and they fit me beautifully! They are not flashy stylish in my opinion, but they will make long walks on the cobbled streets of Italy a joy.

I really like this shoe and have two other pairs . It is very comfortable. I normally wear a 5B and this 35 fit just as I wanted it to. It is hard to find sandals or shoes in this size so it is hard for me to return a pair in a style I like that fits well but I am returning these sandals because I really don't like the shiny silver tone to the color. I would have liked the gray without this sheen.
