When I was a little kid in the early 1960’s in Los Angeles,CA every kid at my school and in my neighborhood had a pair of PF Flyers. The commercial that came on back then said that you could run faster and jump higher than everyone no wonder I couldn’t out run or out jump anyone. I’m 65yrs old and I’m still wearing my PF Flyers. I was 11yrs old when my grandmother bought me my first pair and 54yrs later I now walk the streets of Palmdale,CA in my PF Flyers. Get you a pair and get your wings.

I am a Flyer's convert, and if you're thinking about switching from Converse, order your normal size. They run pretty much the same. Overall, the quality is nice and I think the sole is much better quality than Converse's. And I love the PF flyer's decal on the ankle of the shoe. These are my first pair of hi-tops, so i'm learning to get used to the feeling of something wrapped around my ankle, but they look great with everything (yes, including shorts). If you're looking for something that is as versatile as it is stylish, get these! Be warned, however, that they offer very little arch support for those flat-footed people out there.

Purchased off Amazon, here's how I rate comfort among the big high-top brands (which actually all came from the same company way back in the day): Most comfortable to less comfortable: 1.) P.F. Flyers 2.) Pro Keds 3.) Vans 4.) Converse Not to knock Converse, but Converse is a good entry point. A lot of people are put off by P.F. Flyers visual appearance, but I think you can get used to it if you wear it appropriately with a more retro outfit. P.F. have thick soles for a really cushioned walk, perfectly sized to box, good length, VERY true to size, but best of all awesome arch support. If you're used to Converse (no arch support or barely) these might feel like they're forming to your foot at first, but once you get used to it you could walk for miles and not feel any aching at all. I'm typically a size 10.5 in Converse, 11 in Vans, but P.F. Flyers are always true to size at 11 mens. 11.5 is way too big, 10.5 is definitely too tight. Doesn't leave you guessing which is nice. Couldn't recommend more, I own all four big brands for high tops but P.F. Flyers are the fast and casual choice daily!

I bought these because I use them when I play keyboards in my band as an effect, but when I was a kid I remember having these shoes in black and every kid wanted a pair. They were cool then 56 years ago and there still cool today !

Simply an all-around great sneaker. The retro cool that goes along with a Chuck Taylor, but in a more sturdy, comfortable and exclusive package. I grew tired of my Chucks wearing out after a month of use and being painfully narrow and lacking in support. The PF Flyer’s are everything I want a Chuck Taylor to be but somehow more cool in that not everyone at the Green Day show is wearing them. No disrespect to Green Day, I love them. I am so excited to have found these shoes and anticipate being a PF Flyer fan for the foreseeable future!

I love the ways these look, and they honestly don't feel any WORSE than Converse Chuck Taylors, but I hate the way they are wider around the top of the sneaker on the hi-tops. I'm tall and thin, and my ankles are skinny, so I have the issue where when these are laced all the way to the top, and I pull the laces tight as far as they'll go before tying them (so that the two sides of the shoe come together over the tongue), there is still a lot of room left between the hi-top and my ankle. This just feels (and looks) weird. So I guess if you have really big or fat ankles, these would work great for you. If that doesn't work, then try Pro-Keds Royal Hi's for a good Chuck Taylor alternative that fits better.

Extremely comfortable and makes me feel like I can outrun “The Beast”. For all my “Sandlot” Fans. Second pair and will keep buying them.

These are a nice pair of casual sneakers. They look similar to the converse all star Chuck Taylor, but have a better fitment. The insoles are comfortable and the shoes provide good support when walking.

I haven't ordered a pair as yet, didn't have my size. I didn't even know PF Flyers were made any more. The last pair I had was in 1962/1963 in Watsonville, CA. We moved to Oklahoma in 1967 and I haven't seen a pair since. No body here ever heard of 'em! I wore Converse while playing BKB & BSB in high school, but I missed my PF Flyers.

Love them! The look great with everything! Jeans, skirts and dresses!!

Honestly more comfortable than my Converse. And there's more cushion on the sole as well.

I knew to buy a half size larger because of another reviewer- they nailed it. I am now as fast as Benny Rodriguez outrunning the Beast! I feel like a kid playing a pickup baseball game in the summer heat!

I saw these and were like wow! I'm old school and as a kid you either wore Converse or PF Flyers and when I saw these, I had to get them and glad I did. They are cute and comfortable. I have them on at work today and got several compliments. I'm a lady and wear a size 10 so the 8.5 men's size is perfect. the arch is good and all around comfortable.

wonder about size....order us12 (11,5 UK), but it's not that size at all...I have PF Flyers Rambler china made...size is us12, but it feet very well...ordered Flyers Indonesia made....strange....on photo my new Flyers vs. my very 10 years old Converse made in Indonesia too....but size only 10,5 UK. Both looks that have the same longs

Look great and feel good but form fitting. If you like Converse All Stars you should like PF Flyers. Sizing is a little different. I wear a 11 1/2 and Converse states buy a 12. You can buy PF Flyers in a 12 but they will fit like a 11 1/2 shoe.

Best shoes. Really good for high arches.

Returned as it ran about a 1/2 small. Reordered 1/2 bigger, they fit great and are comfortable.

I have extra wide feet and these fit perfect. Wider mid and toe box than Cons. I've also gotten many compliments on them from people reminded of their childhood. Great conversation starter!
