Oh wow. These are gorgeous. Everything from the suede to the sole was perfectly well made and of the highest quality I’ve ever seen in a boot. These blew the Fryes I tried out of the water. The sole is super thick leather with a stacked wood heel with a rubber heel. You put these on and it’s akin to a cowboy boot, so sizing is critical—they are on the substantial/heavy side so you shouldn’t size too tight. I bought a 5 which is an 8, and I usually wear a 7.5. I had to keep them, they are amazing. I wore them today for nearly 16 hours and my feet only started hurting at 7pm, and because I was on my feet.

I probably got the wrong converted size from UK to US - but I followed the size chart. I got a UK 7 when I’m a US 8.5. The shoe was huge - fit like a 9.5 and looked like a 10-11 from the outside. It looked very mannish, but has top quality very heavy, smooth and shiny leather that would probably great once they were broken in (which would take quite a while). Back they go - even in the correct size adjusted for them seeming to run big - they’d be a little too mannish for my tastes with the heavy leather soul and gentlemanly shape.
