We've been purchasing Plae shoes since my son started walking, and those fit his large (thick and wide) feet really well, but now that he's a size 8 toddler shoe, these are running a little too narrow for him which is a bummer. We got these in a size 8, which is a half size larger than what son's foot is currently measuring. They left red marks on the top of his feet and on his biggest and littlest toes after wearing them for an hour. He took them off as soon as we got to the park. That said, I still highly recommend Plae shoes for their durability, and comfort for kids with wide, chubby feet (in sizes 7 toddler and below). These wash well in the washing machine in the regular wash cycle, and air dry really quickly when wet. The soles, the velcro, and the stitching all hold up really well. So bummed they no longer work for us!

I could not be any happier. The shoes are wonderful. I wish my sons foot grew little slower. We only got seven months of use. These were his primary shoes. They are easy enough for a two-year-old to put on them selves. I really like how wide they open. They are more flexible than most of the children shoe brands which is great for children learning how to walk and run. They are more grippy than most shoes. It is very helpful for climbing in the park. The grey does not show much dirt and they are easy to wipe down. The only negative that I could say is during sandbox play they do hold a good bit of sand in the line grips. It is easy enough to get out with a good bend and shake.

So far, I love these shoes! They fit well and seem to be well made. They are cute and have all the extras that make kids shoes durable (rubber toe guard..). They have good soles for gripping. Also, not least of all, they are super cute!! This is our first pair of Plae brand shoes....we'll see how long they last. :)

These shoes felt pretty narrow for my kiddo who wears a medium for width. I've bought other shoes from Plae with different fabric and color but same style and haven't had that problem.

I love Plae shoes, we've had several for our kids. This particular shoe though hasn't lived up to the PLAE expectations. With only 6 months of part time use during the week, the velcro isn't sticking anymore, and the sole is peeling away from the leather around the inside of the foot area. I've tried to contact the company several times, and haven't received a response. :(

These are perfect! I have been looking for shoes like this for my 2 year old son and hadn't seen them in any stores. The sneakers I see in the stores are too thick and heavy and/or are made from some material that he'll chew up in a day while dragging his foot to slow down his scooter. Not these! They are light, flexible, no unneeded cushion, and a great rubber toe that is perfect for his scooter! They also are super cute and my son is still very excited to wear his "new shoes!" even though they are now more than a week old (which in toddler time is significant).

My three year old loves these shoes. The mesh keeps his hot lil “potato feet” cool. They are lightweight and he can run in them without tripping because of them. It’s worth the price especially if you can had them down to another child.

2nd time we have bought these shoes. Love them! They are so cute and are comfy for my 8year old son. Will definitely continue to by them as he grows into different sizes:)

My son has a wide foot and these are some of our very favorites. They are comfortable and always look stylish. We have dressed them up and down.

These shoes are great for my toddler - he loves them! We have put them through the wash several times and they still look brand new. Almost 7 month later we've hit a growth spurt and they are getting a little snug, so I just ordered the exact same thing one size up. These are the best for active toddlers!

My son is 7yrs old. We have been buying Plae shoes since he was 4yrs old. I love the movement they provide. They also have a good grip on pavement and playground equipment. And velcro always a plus.

Not recommended for kiddos with wide feet. We couldn't even get them on his feet!

I had purchased these shoes with the intent that they would fit with my son's SMO's. It was advertised that these shoes are recommended for AFO/SMO wearers. First of all, these shoes are adorable and very well made; I loved the style and quality, but they absolutely will not fit my son's SMO's. I am sad because this is the third shoe I have ordered from Zappos that will not work. I recommend parents, if your child wears an AFO or SMO, purchase a lower cut, wide shoe that is 1-2 sizes larger to compensate for all the room necessary for movement and future growth. I have to return these :(

We wanted to love these shoes, we really did, but they were so narrow I don't see how any toddler's foot could be comfortable in them. the shoe bed was extremely stiff and barely padded at all with no obvious arch support. Truly dissapointed that all the other reviews are giving these shoes such high reviews when they are extremely narrow. If your child's foot is not super skinny they will not fit. My son has smaller than average feet and I've never had problems with narrow shoes but these are medium width and still too narrow. The length is true to size and the graphics are super cute, broken-hearted they didn't work out.

Love these shoes! So cute and comfortable for my kiddos. Will buy again.

Favorite casual shoes!

I love these shoes for my kid. These are his 3rd pair and the old ones still have plenty of life to hand down to my other kid. I feel like the have great traction and support but when we first get them my son says they are too hard compared to his nikes. He eventually gets uses to them because his other shoes get too worn. These are built well.

Always a fan of Plae! They hold up well and the swapable tags make them a good fit for wide feet.

This is our second pair because he grew out of them! Washing these shoes is easy. They are TOUGH for sure. Absolutely recommend these!

We like the Plae brand for for our younger kids. The shoes are comfortable and easy for the kids to put on themselves. The shoes are very durable and easy to clean. Zappos has the widest selection of this brand available.

Love these shoes! Held up to the wear & tear of 6 year old boy at daycare...and that’s not an easy feat! They also look really stylish!
