My purchase experience was ok, and I like what I have gotten for what I paid for. But getting to this rating page took too many tries for things to work.

Fits loads! Velcro is a little loud though.

I carry a lot of stuff with me and use a small crossbody bag all the time. Some of my friends tease me about my "purse" or "little man bag." I've been coveting my business partner's Timbuk2 messenger bag for quite a while, and finally bought one (Classic Messenger Bag in beautiful nautical blue color - a nice change from all the black bags and backpacks that I've always had). It comes in 3 sizes, which is great, depending on your needs. I don't use it for a laptop or anything large, so got the small size, which fits all of the things I carry from day to day: eyeglass case, an eyeglass cleaning kit, toothbrush and toothpaste, a notebook and pens, wallet, pocket knife, etc. It has a well-thought-out design with good organizing pockets. The bag very good looking and extremely well-constructed. I can tell that it will last for many, many years, like the one my partner carries - his is quite old and shows some signs of wear, but it still looks great. There's only one thing that prevented me from giving it 5 stars: to access anything in the bag, you have to open two locking clips on the cover flap. This may be a good security feature, but it prevents quick and easy access to stuff in the bag. It would be better to have one of more small zippered pockets on the outside of the bag or on the cover flap. It's a minor issue in an overall great messenger bag.

Overall, a great bag. I'd like one more side pocket with a zipper that didn't require unbuckling the clasps and ripping the velcro, and a bit of padding for the interior laptop slot.

This is my third mini messenger that I use as a daily purse. The pockets are fantastic, the bag is super durable and so functional. I'm surprised by how many comments I get on it. I'd suggest an out water bottle sleeve/pocket, but on the mini bag- it may end up too lopsided. Thanks for the great product.

Bag is nice. Sturdy. Would be nice if more padding around and under laptop sleeve. But otherwise a solid bag.

Well designed and well made. Issue comes with its ability to carry a heavy weight. Bought it for my son to take to school as his laptop and binders were so big they didn't fit well in a regular backpack. They fit great in this bag, but then the weight is too much for the method of carrying it. for some weights, a backpack is just a better bag. I think lighter weights, or the regular size bag so that you wouldn't be able to put as much weight into it, would be good options. Will be keeping the bag for other purposes (clothing, overnight trips) as it is a very nice bag otherwise.

Great bag, a little small given the price but still fits a lot of what I need to carry. The brighter colors seem to get dirty really easily despite how careful I've been with it, so if you're looking to get one, go with a darker color. I'll probably never get these marks and stains out but it's still a good bag overall!

Good bag. Lots of room. My only wish is that it had more pockets, especially on the outer flap.

Really like it, well-made and looks great. Would be perfect if it had an outside pocket

Everything is pretty great about this bag, except one thing: the strap is too short!! For a slightly above medium-sized guy, this messenger bag hangs at my hips ok, but still not far enough down to be comfortable, especially when it's full of stuff. But worse, when I want to sling it behind my back more, it simply doesn't fit, or stay in place. How hard would it be to add 4-6" more webbing strap?! I feel like my 12yo Small-sized bag (the one I just bought was a Medium), had more strap and would comfortable hang slightly behind me when it was full, or when I was carrying other stuff. Seems like this is an easy design flaw to fix ... I'd love to get a replacement with a longer strap.

This is my everyday day work commuter. I wish the front pouches were more of pockets to secure my pens and from falling out constantly and maybe another divider in the main ouch for more organization.

Just the right size bag for daily use. Pockets for my phone and wallet, zippered pocket for change and lanyard for my bike keys. The Velcro flap is is to open and you'll know if someone tries to open it

I use this bag to carry my 17" laptop around. It is week protected in the separate sleeve and also has plenty of space for notepad and other documents. There is room for the power cord as well and other accessories such as a mouse. The quality of the bag is very high end. The only thing I do not like about the bag is the buckle straps that secure the main flap closed are very long. They hang far below the bag.

This is undoubtedly a great and classic bag. But I was buying it as a gift for a petite girl who is the daughter of a friend going off to college. I would say the medium is a large or full size, and the large which I bought before that is an extra large. Order a size - or two- down. My wife returned both. Quality is great! But size label is geared for athletic men. One star off just to warn other buyers. I remain a fan of Timbuk 2 and use your Authority backpack every day.

It's a great size and same good material as other products. One downside that I wish Timbuk2 could improve is the organization part. It could be my perfect bag if I have one or two organized pockets or a hidden zipper like what's in the Medium size.

Love the design! Fits most everything you need for a day of college life. Just wish it had a water bottle holder, though!

I used this bag to carry my 14 in work laptop. It is the perfect size for the laptop and its accessories. Very comfortable to carry through airports. The only thing I would like to have would be an outside pocket to allow quick access to a Phone or wallet when going through security.

I have been using this as a work bag for a few months now. It's a good size but I really wish the strap was longer.

I've bought a few different Timbuk2 bags over the years. Some improvements since my first bag, and some areas that aren't as good as the originals. But the quality is still great and I expect this bag will still be in use in 20 years just like the first one I ever bought.

Well made bag. Love size and flap coverage. Only thing I have had an issue with is the strap hold can come undone and bag hang low. I may add a small piece of Velcro to bag and to strap hold cord.

I wanted this to take on a big trip. I got it to ensure it was perfect for me, but it wasn't. It lacks the Velcro on the flap like my xs bag, that's sad. I would bend over and everything would slide out. The buckles aren't super convenient for a daily on the go bag for me. I did gift this barely used bag to my friend who travels for work, and she has no complaints. It could be me having a skewed opinion on a well made, nice looking bag. It just wasn't the right fit for my need. This bag is sharp looking, and I know it is durable and functional for the intended purpose.

It holds a lot. It is a bit big for how I use it. Good quality materials.

Love this bag so much! It's organized and holds everything I need. I do wish there were pockets on the inside divider-- sometimes the things I have in the outside pockets weigh the bag down weird. Definitely not a deal breaker, though!
