I just received my CATAPULT SLING 2.0 and really like the product; unfortunately, I am 6' 1" with a 58 inch chest. FYI- I own numerous Timbuk2 bags. My feedback for this product would be to either make a larger strap for the bag or make the bag strap hardware more universal to allow for the easy swap out of a compatiblestrap.

Customer since mid-1990s, having purchased about a dozen bags. The construction (fit, seams, sewing, materials) is first rate and high quality. Bag is huge disappointment. "Nothing Gold can Stay," it appears at Timbuk2. At first I thought the bag was defective. THE STRAP. The heart of Timbuk2's original bag was its, then, innovative strap. This strap - shiny, thin black seatbelt material - is functionally useless. The meager shoulder pad is hard sewn onto the strap itself, at the very end of the strap, butting the bag itself. Your option is to have the shoulder pad on the shoulder and the bag under your neck or chin, or move the bag to a suitable mid - torso position and have the shoulder pad in the middle of your chest or back. The strap's take up loop is an over-sized large plastic buckle - which means even if you could (you can't) slide the shoulder pad, it would be blocked by the buckle. The loose end of the strap is tied back with some plastic gizmo that never stays on. And lastly, both ends of the strap are tied to the bag with some sort of U-shaped plastic hook with a wire loop. The sling will not conform to your body. padding on the back and in the interior rear pocket prevents the bag from moulding to a user - so it sort of sticks out. The bag lacks a cinch strap on the flap. Fellas, let's be honest. This is a woman's clutch dressed up to impersonate a functional day bag. It is not. Mistake in purchasing this - but I mistakenly thought Timbuk2 - after 2 plus decades - was still in the outdoor gear market.

Ordered this bag in hopes to find a solution for to carrying my extra layer, camera and other necessities. This bag showed up and was like someone designed a bag for toddlers to use to pretend to be messengers. The hard edges and lack of malleability made over-filling or even using this bag to its true capacity awkward and ugly. At 225 and 6'1, me donning this bag makes for a "fat guy, little coat" scenario. Further more- the bag is not big enough to hold my A6300 even with a smaller lens, nor does it accommodate a packable jacket with any usable room to spare. Upon returning this bag I found out that I would be charged an automatic 9 dollars for return shipping as well. Just an all up bust- 10/10 would not recommend.

Simply put, I bought this bag to carry my 11" iPad Pro. Guess what? It doesn't fit! The bag won't close while the tablet is in the padded pouch. If the padded pocket was as deep as the main pocket, the bag would close. Other than that, this bag is well constructed, comfortable to wear, and the hidden bottle opener is a nice touch. I'm only rating it so low because it doesn't do the one thing I specifically bought it for. This is my 4th Timbuk2 bag, and it's the first time I'm disappointed.

I liked the small size and the top exterior zip that gives easy access to the bag, but the strap is too wide for me and it's not possible to remove the padded strap thingy.

Too odd to wear and impossible to open the strap clips.

I love timbuk2 bags, and own like a dozen, but this one's a miss. Even though the product page says it can fit an 11-inch laptop, the internal laptop pocket is too small for my 11-inch ipad pro (at least w/ smart keyboard), and it's also weirdly long yet doesn't provide much space. Most timbuk2 bags seem like they somehow defy the laws of physics and have more space on the inside than the outside, but this one is kind of the opposite. Also, the Velcro closure is really thin and insecure looking, I wouldn't dare wear this on my back on a bike or anything for fear it would fly open.

Love Timbuk2 and wanted to love this bag as a substitute for a back pack or other sling for use at festivals or when out for the day in a big city without a car. But the design is puzzling. It didn't feel comfortable or practical any way that I hung it on me. The pad doesn't move on the strap, limiting the use cases even further. Really surprised that this bag made it to the manufacturing stage.
