Great comfy sandal!!

I LOVE these sandals. They are the best combination I have found yet of comfort and style in a walking sandal. The footbed is super cushion-y and comfy, and the velcro allows you to adjust the straps to tailor-make them fit your foot. That design is genius, because so many sandals end up chafing in some spot, giving you blisters, and making you miserable. I also like the style - these work with both long summer dresses and pants, and you can walk for hours and hours in them with zero pain. I bought them in gold and white, and would happily buy more if they re-stocked them! The only criticism I have of this shoe is that the footbed gets flattened down and the texture gets rough over time. Still comfortable, but not like when they're brand-new and super spongy and smooth. Still, they're cute and comfortable enough for it to be worth it to buy new ones every couple of years. Aetrex, make more of these, and in more colors (like silver and beige)!

Thought I would try another aetrex walking sandals after many years… super comfortable on my Hard to please feet!!! Great with dresses, pants and shorts!!

Very comfortable and adjustable. I have hard to fit feet. I am size 10 or 11. A size 10.5 is perfect but hard to find. These actually feel like 10.5 which is perfect for me.

My first pair of Aetrex, usually wear Dansko exclusively. Great price, fit and style. Very happy with this purchase.

My gosh!!!! These sandals are so comfy and cute and made well. I took several pairs of shoes to Hawaii but ended up wearing these 90% of the time. I have three pair of this style and it really covers a lot of occasions. They have three areas of adjustment, to allow that perfect fit. I get quite a few compliments. I’m 60 and don’t care to punish my feet, or my body, wearing crazy uncomfortable shoes. If you plan on actually walking anywhere and want to do it in style, then these are for you

Unbelievable comfort! The arch and footbed is amazing and I LOVE that one can customize the fit to whatever width of foot you have. I have a hard to fit foot, it's narrow and boney thin and almost all sandals do not hug my foot but appear like big wide boats due to being narrow footed. This sandal fits amazing due to the fully adjustable 3 straps... a beautiful custom fit!!! Though the straps are not real leather, the look is also amazing and attractive and one cannot tell it's not leather. I can't speak for those with very wide feet but for those with medium & narrow, it's a perfect sandal. I just ordered another pair in another color. I usually wear 8.5-9 in shoes and I ordered the 40 (9-9.5) and it fits great, even with a bit of room at the toe to spare. Honestly I can walk miles in them and they remain on my feet wonderfully! And there was no break in period, none. I can wear with dresses or shorts or pants. Comfy from the start. Great sandal!!! So glad I happened upon them!!!

These shoes are so comfortable, it's like walking on clouds. I absolutely love them!

I love these shoes and after wearing a pair all over the world for a year, I purchased a second pair. Comfort, style, fit - it has it all. I even wear them in the mornings when I walk 2 miles with my friend. She (my friend) commented on my new pair. "They're really cute," sher said.

I love Aetrex sandals and have several pairs. And Zappos makes it so easy to find styles, colors and sizes. I bought these for a trip to Italy where I will be doing a great deal of walking. Right out of the box it felt like I was walking on pillows. The adjustable straps are so well placed and user friendly with Velcro closures. Also, I love the arch support. Although I am wearing them two weeks before the trip, honestly they need no break in time. My only criticism is with the color. The pewter looks more like bronze. But they are super cute and stylish so I don’t really care

Very comfortable! I got the white, which is a tad off white but works, for a trip to Europe. I normally wear a size 8 shoe with an occasional 8.5, and my foot is slightly narrow. The 39 fits very well, with the arch falling in the right spot which is really how you should fit your shoes. I love that all three straps are adjustable which helps them get a bit more snug on my narrow foot. They are very soft and cushy. I normally look for a suede foot bed on a cork sole for maximum comfort with lots of walking, but these are extremely comfortable - it remains to be seen if the feel holds up, though I do know the suede foot bed is soft and the leather lined very nicely so no sore spots. They aren't a fashion statement but are cute enough, and better than the hiking-type sandal I was also considering (Rykas, which were great). There is plenty of length in these as well. The arch support feels quite good and the foot bed has that good shape that helps with pronation. There is plenty of room for my toes. I like Danskos as well but they are usually too wide. I think these will be a good choice!

For a sandal, this shoe provides excellent arch support. I have worn these when standing on a hard surface for several hours, and they gave me all the support I needed. I also love the adjustible straps. I bought this in two colors.

These sandals are very comfortable - I felt the arch support immediately. The color is a soft white - not glaring.

This shoe is so comfortable. I wear an 8 1/2 or 9 and I ordered the 40 and it fit great.

Yes for long days of walking and standing, says my narrowish foot with a high instep. These passed the comfort test with flying colors during a recent European trip with several 25,000-step days on cobblestone and other types of terrain. My feet didn't hurt, and the sandals didn't require a lot of breaking in. The ability to adjust the straps made a huge difference for when my feet started to swell. It's also great that they can cross from very casual days to a bit nicer for dinner. One thing: these shoes need breather days off, especially if you wear them strapped so your foot is in constant contact rather than looser with some airflow as you step. I have other sandals that I can wear daily without smell creeping in, but they are a different footbed material. And a note on size: The recommended size felt a little small at first, including around the arch support--I'm normally a 5.5 (rarely: 6) and tried the 5-5.5 and the 6-6.5--but the smaller feel ultimately was a good fit for me.

I was so excited to find a pair of Red sandals. I'm a true size 10.5 or 42. But these are sized too small. My toes were at the front lip of the sandals when I walked in them. No matter how much I adjusted them. I think it's the back strap that is too far forward or that this company sizes their shoes smaller than normal. Zappos is turning my photos upside down and sideways for some reason.?

These have the most comfortable footbed ever, and the style is so cute. However, I returned them because the straps around the ankle on all the styles I tried, are too high so that they rub on the ball of my ankle. It could be my ankles, but I don't have this problem with other brands. If they redesign the ankle strap to just connects lower on the shoe or swoop down under the ball of the ankle, these would be the perfect shoes. I really hope they keep working to perfect their fit because other than this I loved them. They have the style on top that you could wear to a dressy occasion but the footbed underneath that is healthy for your feet and comfortable. I was really sad to send them back and will try future styles. I have narrow feet and these shoes felt the right size and had multiple adjustable straps so that they could be tightened to your personal preference.

Very comfy, but I returned because it didn't look good with my short toes. I am size 5 with a slightly wide foot due to minor bunions - and short toes, as I mentioned. This shoe (and this brand?) does seem to run a bit wider, but for me that's great because nobody makes size 5 wide shoes. I like the adjustability of straps. Footbed is like walking on a cloud! Because I liked Aetrex's wider footbed but not this style, I ended up going with their Reese sandals (size 5 regular width), which looks a bit nicer and has an even better orthopedic footbed.

I ordered this sandal and the Taos Beauty 2 for comparison. (I liked the styling of the Taos sandal better so this is one being returned.) My feet are silly: bunion on the right, prone to plantar fasciitis if I’m not careful, “low profile” with narrow heels and medium width...in short, I can’t wear just any shoe. The adjustable straps are nice if you have silly foot variables like me, allowing a ‘just right’ fit. The arch support for me was very comfortable. As I’m looking for a somewhat dressy option rather than sporty, so I’m returning the Aetrex Gabby.

I use an orthotic insert in all my shoes. I ordered these, hoping I could wear them without my orthotic. I have a very high arch, and between a N & M width. Initially, they felt okay, although my gait was different. Within a few minutes, I could tell the arch was too far back, and the heel strap was too low to feel comfortable. I ordered a 10, normally wear a 10 1/2 in a shoe (smaller in a sandal), and my toes were close to the edge. I did like the adjustability of all the straps, which was a definite win, but unfortunately, the arch placement was the deciding factor. They are very cushy and supportive, if the arch location is right for you. Back to gladiator sandals using my orthotics!

True to size, order the same size as your foot. Made well, and like the ease of adjustable straps. These sandals might be ideal for people without any foot pain. The instep was not tall enough for me, and my arch height and length is average. If you need better arch support, try Walking Cradles “Hustle” style sandal.

I really wanted to keep this. I love the color and the arch support was perfect. Unfortunately, the back strap was rubbing against the back of my foot and I knew I would get a blister wearing this pair. Sadly, this is going back.

Unfortunately I had to return these. The two ankle straps did not have enough material stitched around them to protect the skin from the rough Velcro. Interestingly I tried on and bought another pair from a local store, and they had a little extra leather surrounding the stitch that prevent such irritation. I’m keeping those. I have plantar fasciitis with extreme heel pain and it has been challenging to find a sandal that is cute, provides adequate cushion, and support. These sandals checked all of those boxes. The footbed offers the best cushion I have found (and I’ve tried just about all of the comfort brands), the arch support is excellent (though if you are flat footed this may be too much for you), and it’s also really great that all of the straps are adjustable.

I had the same issue as another reviewer with the arch being positioned too far back at the point where my arch starts instead of being centered at the arch. There was no way to adjust the straps to make it comfortable and, believe me, I tried because I did like the style. I think the real issue might be that the strap behind the heel was too far forward. I'm wondering if this is a design issue or this was a defective pair.

I really need a narrow shoe but due to the reviews I hoped this one would not be too wide. My usual size is 7 N. My toes were lost in the wide toe area of this shoe. They also were not so supportive as I would have liked. The straps at the toe were bigger and different from the other straps and would have preferred smoother texture ones. Sorry these weren't for me.
