Awesome! The original Alp looks like a more interesting strappy design, but it seems Teva has made improvements based on those terrible reviews.
I needed new river sandals because my Chacos' soles came apart in hot sun (what's the point of sandals you can't leave in the sun to dry?)
I have narrow feet, and tried on lots of other sandals that would not adjust down tight enough. The Tevas I tried all worked nicely for narrow feet, and these are just super comfortable. Plus, you can take them off without any velcro noise, and they have the minimum neoprene lining-- just enough to protect from those Teva triangle connectors that used to cut into my feet on the original model.

I wore my old Teva Alps every day of summer for 17 years, through countless outdoor and aquatic adventures, until our new puppy tore one up. I tried replacing them with Teva Hurricanes, Chaco Z/2s and Bedrock Cairns. After at least a month in each of these I'd lament that they couldn't perform as well as my old Alps. So I was overjoyed when Teva reissued these. I've climbed mountains and swam rivers in the Premiers and the sole is better than the originals for comfort, fit and performance. I like how the straps drape symmetrically on both sides, so you can set a uniform distance (say 2 mm) for the sole to hang under your foot with each step. This keeps the bottoms of your feet dry and aired-out for a real barefoot feel. Teva should offer these in more attractive colors and let their reputation grow.

I like my new sandals. They are comfortable and seemingly well-built. There has been no break in period. it is my hope that they will last for many years to come.

Normally I would balk at wearing these, look how uncool they look. Well somehow they started to grow on me and I picked up a pair for the summer. I've owned them for about two weeks now and they are my go-to shoes for the summer. I've used them to clean the patio and while grilling and the support plus open nature allowed my feet to breath in the Texas heat. I've changed into the shoes after a long run and they look good in a weird way paired with some running socks. I plan on using these after hiking when the weather cools down. My wife wore mine for a day and now she is planning on getting herself a pair.

Very nice design. I live in the mountains but don't like to wear shoes. These sandals work for me.

I owned two pair of Teva's original Alps and I am ecstatic that they have reintroduced this great sandal into their line. Yes!!!! The Alp is not only comfortable, and stylish::::> they stay on your feet!

Good shoes. Fun style. "Are those chacos?" Lol no they're tevas yeah they're pretty comfy. Not as much as the universal premier but they're a different style. I did some heavy hiking involving a little running jumping and stuff and they left my feet sore from the weird front buckle. Looks cool but doesn't feel good for hard phys activity. Considered returning, but I just use them for show and style now. Just everyday utility rather. They're good.

I've been hearing about this brand for so long. I just had to find out what all the hype was about. Well now I see! These are men's but I easily discovered my size and they fit beautifully. I love the color, style and fit.

I have a pair of the originals that I still use after 10 or more years. I have had to reglue the bottoms a couple of times but they are still the best for wading rocky rivers. I love the new ones but haven't fully tested them out yet.

These shoes are very comfortable. True to size, if anything they run slightly larger than expected. I've worn Chacos for years and have always been annoyed by their excessive weight and the discomfort once the shoes get wet. With these Tevas you don't have any of that. Light weight foam that is capable and comfortable without the heavy clunky feel.

These are great sandals. Very comfortable and perfect for going out on warm days when you don't want to put on shoes & socks.
Word of warning: If you have wide feet at all, these probably won't work for you. I didn't think I had overly wide feet but I had to loosen all of the straps all the way and the straps in the toe area were still a bit tight until I wore them in. After wearing them a handful of times now, they fit perfectly.

I had toe surgery and for a few weeks can't wear my shoes. The Alp looks good and fits my narrow feet due to the adjustable straps. I got the black ones that will go with both shorts and long pants.

I bought this hoping for a top-tier sandal, and my hopes have been met. I got these in black and they look great and fit very well. They are snug fitting and suitable for active things; I just walked in these during a parade and had absolutely no issues. The outsole is rugged and can stand wear and tear. As for how they feel, these sandals are wonderful. They are stable, non-chafing, and have a good midsole so that my feet are quite comfortable. Great buy!

I bought the Alp Premier because I liked the strap configuration, which I liked a lot. I didn't expect much in the comfort department, but I was very pleasantly surprised! These sandals are cushy enough to wear to an all-day event like an amusement park or vacation outing. Thank you, Teva, for giving us big guys more options, and keep the new product ideas coming. As my daughter is so fond of saying, these sandals are "super comf."

These shoes are amazing. I was dying to get them in the mail and I haven't taken them off since I got them. Sometimes I have to remind myself that I have other shoes. I usually wear a women's 10 and bought a men's 8 in these because I wanted the all black shoe. The shoes are great and it was money well spent.

The Alp Premier completely exceeded my expectations. I bought it for shallow reasons: I really liked the way it looked. And it really does look good -- even better in person. But this is an incredibly well-designed sandal that is also amazingly comfortable. I am kind of a sandal addict, and last summer I spent an amount of money on a Japanese brand of sandal that I can't even admit to; not only is the Alp Premier better looking, it's way, way, way more comfortable (seriously: what was I thinking?). I hope this never disappears from Teva's line-up, because this is -- by far -- the best sandal Teva makes. [By the way, the Premier version of this sandal is FAR SUPERIOR, especially if you are looking for something truly comfortable that you don't want to take off your feet].
