Aravon Standon Fisherman is a very comfortable fairly dressy sandal. The foot bed is very comfortable and cushioned just right. The leather straps feel soft on my sensitive feet. The leather stretches to fit your foot, so it's good that the shoe has a nice strap. My only objection is with the Velcro fastener on the strap. Generally I much prefer Velcro straps, but the upper, "sticky" part of the Velcro should be narrower. If you don't position it exactly right on the soft part of the Velcro when you fasten the strap, any small part that overlaps will grab your nylons. I have to remember not to cross my ankles when I sit. If it weren't for this, I would give this shoe a 5 star rating. Also, it seems a bit pricey.

This is one of the few closed-toed sandals I could find. In the black, the leather has a patent finish, which I'm not crazy about, however, it is very soft and pliable. The shoe runs a little narrow and short, but the leather is very forgiving and not uncomfortable, even though my toe is right at the top. For a sandal, this shoe has excellent arch support built in. It isn't completely flat and the heel feels rather narrow, so if you're unsteady at all on your feet, I wouldn't recommend this particular sandal. It is comfortable to wear for walking.

I bought the bronze version and they were a bit shinier than I expected. But, still, a good neutral color to go with a lot of things. Soft and flexible with great arch support. Sadly, I will end up returning them because the arch support isn't in quite the right spot for my slightly larger right foot and I think it will be uncomfortable in the long run. A very nicely made shoe.

This shoe only comes in full sizes. The size 6 was too small and the 7 too long. I really need a 6 1/2. Too bad, since it felt like it would be comfortable if it fit. I do like the shoe

While these shoes were comfortable the color was off for me. It was much more brassy than I anticipated.

This is the 2nd pair of these sandals in 8.5N that I have ordered. I love the style and bronze color but wish I had ordered a size 8N instead of 8.5N. My 1st pair was 8.5N too, but after a few months wear it became too roomy in the toe. I thought it was from getting them soaking wet in a rainstorm. In my opinion, these shoes run a about a half size too big in the toe in the Narrow. I would have returned them but needed them for a vacation and did not have time to return them. I would order them again but in the 8N since they are comfortable and fashionable.

They are a pretty shoe, but the lack of half-sizes is a real bummer. I had to send them back because the size recommended was too small.

Wanted to love these. I usually wear a 6 and a half wide, ordered a 7 wide but probably could have gone with 7M. The color blue is nice for summer months but overall the shoe looks frumpy with a short dress which I need it for. And I took a chance on the insole not being leather... nope, that sticky feel is there even on a cool day. Sadly, back they go.

The shoe felt 1/2 a size smaller than marker. Was hoping it would work but didn't.
Made well though.

Quality, well-made casual shoe. Fits my foot comfortably. Will enjoy wearing with my jeans and shorts over the summer. I wear a 10 wide and this was true to size.

I loved the bronze version of this sandal, although I would have preferred a plainer leather. But I have very hard to fit feet and this is the only closed toe sandal that I can wear without custom orthotics, as the support is great. It also actually has a wide enough toe box for me in the wide version. Therefore I purchased the black version but must return it, because although you can't see it in the picture, the back strap of this sandal is not black but is the same bronze-gold leather that also is used to cover the sole on the side. Since I have to obtain an adjustment from my cobbler to tighten the back strap, such an adjustment is not going to work and look ok with a different colored back strap. I hope Aravon makes a similar sandal with an all black backstrap and plain leather in the future, as this is my go-to with skirts in the summer.

This shoe was a bit of a disappointment, sadly. The leather seemed thin, there was insufficient support overall (especially compared to other Aravon shoes), and the sole of the shoe felt thin, because I could feel the ground through the sole. Also, other Aravon shoes in size 41 fit me just right, but this one felt quite small all over, especially the toe box. I sent these back and traded them in for another pair of Aravon sandals.

Bought in the blue color. The shoe was not as attractive as pictured. The blue was a sort of dusty blue grey and the material looked like some sort of shiny, plastic. Looked very cheap for the price of the shoe. Disappointing since Aravon brand was specifically mentioned for my type of foot problems. Returned.

The heel had too much room despite the adjustability. Consequently, the shoe did not feel secure.

This shoe looks like it costs $2. Looks cheap and gaudy, but it is expensive!. So back it goes.
