Perfect for office wear during rain or snow. Looks very professional and can accommodate another jacket inside so its a casual or lose fit.

I love this jacket so much more than the other Men's Apex Flex GTX 2.0 Jacket for a few reasons. The normal Apex Flex is a technical jacket designed for athletic use. The Apex Disruptor was made for those who desire a stylish rain jacket to wear around town. If you are like me, and only need a functional rain jacket for city use, without all the bloated features, then the Disruptor parka is for you. The Apex Disruptor parka is freed of the clunky features that are present on the Apex Flex jacket, such as the pit zips and the multiple adjustment cords. The waterproof zipper on the Apex Flex jacket is rather tough to zip, finicky, and more prone to breaking down. The Disruptor parka has a regular smooth zipper that can go both ways. Because it's not waterproof, you get a storm flaps cover over the zipper, which is fine. The two way zipper is awesome because it allows for the freedom of movement. When worn over a suit or other layers, you can see the immediate benefits of having a two way zipper. The sleeves on the Disruptor are also shorter and provided a more streamlined, nicer fit to the body. If you want to use the Disruptor over other layers, you might want to size up, due to its slim fit. I purchased the Apex Flex jacket first, then I exchanged it for the Apex Disruptor parka because the latter fits my casual needs more. However, you still might want to consider the former if you need a lighter, more technical jacket for outdoor/athletic use, especially if weight is an important factor. Both versions of the Apex line are slim fitting and true to size for my normal body build.

I lost my Mountain light parka and didn't know what to replace it with. I have been sad for a while, but I think this Apex GTX will fit the bill. It's not zip in compatible but I can layer up. I have so many fleece jackets from Northface so that is not an issue.

Amazing product. Projects me from snow, rain, wind and harsh weather of New York City. Looks great at all occasions too. Fits prefect, true tone color, it's got everything. Highly recommended for the urban dwellers as well as anyone looking for waterproof jackets.

I bought this for my husband. I chose medium using the fitting guide, but turned out to be too wide for him. Had to exchange for the small size. But my looks very nice with the small coat. We love the free shipping and free return policy.

The coat fits nicely. Gortex material feels very nice. I haven't worn it yet in cold weather. But it will be fine with layers.

Searched far and wide for a great 3-season raincoat and found this. Tried the Apex GTX and found the waist fit too tight and the sleeves too long. Traded it in for the Disruptor, which was better on both counts, plus the parka is 2" longer in the back.
Sizing: I'm 6'1" an 180 lbs and the Large fits perfectly.
Fit and style: good looking parka, with a trim fit. Able to wear a fleece vest or a fleece jacket underneath and the fit is still very good. The thyme heather color is stunning.
Waterproof: only out once in a driving rain and worked well (i.e., no leaks). Will truly test during an upcoming trip to Ireland.
What would make this a perfect parka: pit zippers and a coat loop inside by the label.

Love this parka! I have been wanting something that's longer, full Gore-Tex waterproof but also look good for a night out on the town with the wife. My wife and I have both the parka and the technical apex flex. This material is amazing, feels like a soft shell, functions like a hardshell, looks fancy and gets compliments from the wife need I say more? Compared to the technical version my one gripe is I wish the sleeves on this model were just as long, other than that I love it. It has different features than the technical one so the trade offs like the hidden hood are totally worth it. I am in Oregon I wear this one almost every day, and love to walk my dog in the rain in this.

Great jacket and looks super nice. It's very comfortable and stretchy and is very lightweight. Great for moderate cold weather and rain, and can be used in winter with other layers. The more I've worn it the more I have been enjoying it.
One feature that they don't really mention is that it has dual zips, so you can unzip the bottom for more mobility. This makes the jacket really easy to move in no matter where you are sitting, laying, or moving.
My only con is that it's a very base layer shell so it's not super warm, other than that it is really great.

Great jacket -- my husband loves it. Plans to wear it over a fleece -- or even a down --jacket in colder weather.
