This is my third pair of New Balance Minimus sneakers. Generally, and with nearly daily use, they lasted me o/a one year with problems usually occurring on/within the sole. I appreciate the "Minimus" concept or barefoot running. I have also tried Merrell as well but prefer New Balance for both style and comfort/construction. Minimus are a great running shoe for both the track and street, doesn't feel bulky and provides the necessary support for even long runs. I also wear them during strength training and lower body workouts with zero issues. Minimus provides a tactile feel that I truly appreciate. Great value and good looks (both in the gym and around town). I will continue to purchase for as long as New Balance makes them.

I like the feel of the shoe, very snug width wise, but I have more narrow feet, so that was ok for me. The length was not true to size, most of my shoes are 12, so I tried that size first and it was too tight. Returned them for 12.5 and they are close enough, but I could have gone with a 13 for sure!

It’s odd that this color combination runs smaller that the black and grey. I bought two pair for my husband. Black and grey fit, these did not and will be returned.

Been running in these for 15 years. Love love them. I wear orthopedic and my trails have those little balls with spikes on them so I slide in a fence ribber insert. Perfect when I get .5 larger shoe. Once u get your first pair u will come back on get 2 extra. Can't say enough on how great they are.....ron

I've been running in the old MT20 (orange) shoes, which are my favorite ever shoes. But, I couldn't find more of those, so I went with these. The fit of these, for some reason, is not the same as the MT20s. I bought a half size up (just like the MT20), but these are super narrow. I had to buy a second pair in 'wide', which I've never had to do in any shoe. These are cutting up my ankles, too. It's like the front part of the 'collar' is too high (see image) and rubs against the front of my ankles, rubbing a little hole in my skin. Too much arch support. I know, what DO I like, then? If not for my experience with the MT20s, I'd be pretty upset. But, my hope is that I break in the shoes and it gets me back to where I was before: a great minimal shoe with perfect ground feel.

It's not that they're too small, it's that there's a band across the top of the foot, between the arch and toes, that is tight. I think it's a design problem rather than a size problem.

I bought my second pair of these shoes now and they hold up great. I wear them for every day, gym, weightlifting, you name it. They take a bit to break in, after that they are perfect. Thin but comfortable! I recommend sizing up if you’re between sizes.

My favorite New Balance sneakers remain the 420v3. It turns out NB made this exclusively for Kohl’s (I’m frugal) and NB has discontinued these sneakers. They were perfect in every way. Life goes on, so working with an NB rep, she suggested the Minimus sneakers. While not as perfect as the 420v3’s they come very close overall. I would rate the Minimus as “perfect” but it’s twice the cost of the 420v3’s.

Got these for working out. I will agree that it's a good idea to order a half size up. Initially I was worried they'd be too big but they fit perfectly. They're also very light weight.

These minimalist shoes check all the boxes for me. I have been searching for this category for a solid month and this is it. They are by far the most flexible shoes which is mandatory for my need to walk and stand properly as stated by my Neuro-Kinetic Therapist. They have the added benefit of looking good as well. I am very happy with them. EE is good, but I ordered a 1/2 size larger than usual and they fit perfectly.

Love these minimalist shoes. They do run a little small by at least a half size to consider ordering at least a half size larger than you normally would wear shoe wise. I tend to have narrow feet and my feet feel perfect in them.

These run "snug" compared to other shoes of similar size/width, but not a half size down. Good minimal athletic shoe for those that don't like heavy or tall shoes.

Previous reviews said that the shoe ran small so I followed their advice and ordered one full size larger than my shoe size in regular shoes. Fit is good. May buy another pair.

They look great but believe the size warnings. They are easily a full size smaller than they claim.

It was like getting a woman's shoe and have a man try it on. Foot would not even go into the shoe it was so small. I even ordered extra wide and nothing. Only buy if you have supper narrow feet.

I have been wearing the New Balance Minimus for several years now and they were my favorite, but something has changed the last year or so. My first 3 pairs were size 10 (medium width) and they fit great . The style would change, but my size was always a 10. Last year I ordered a size 10 Minimus 10v1 from Amazon and they just didn't fit. The width was too narrow and my toes were banging into the toe box. I immediately sent them back and ordered a 10.5. Problem solved. Or so I thought. Earlier this year I ordered the same 10.5 Minimus 10v1 from Zappos and this time around they were just too small. I thought perhaps if I ware them around a bit I'd feel more comfortable in them, but that wasn't the case. As a Personal Trainer I'm on my feet all day and by my fourth session in the morning, I had to take them off and put my old ones on. The brain surgeon that I am, I threw the box away once I received delivery figuring the 10.5 was going to fit and without the original box, there is no returns with Zappos. That and the fact I wore them several times before I decided I'd rather save my feet, then force the issue. $114 down the drain. Not sure what is going on with New Balance, but I'm never buying them again online.

It is unfortunate that these shoes have begun to fall apart. We have only had the shoes for approx 5 months and the sole is breaking apart. My husband had the same style of shoe for almost 10 years before this pair and I can’t believe the change in how they are made. It’s super upsetting because they are not cheap shoes.

I absolutely loved this shoe but even their wide size and a half size larger than my normal shoe size was too tight in the toebox. Simply did not feel as wide as some other wide sizes from New Balance or competing brands like Merrell

I love New Balance minimus shoes. I have three pairs and would really like to have kept this mostly solid black pair, but they were too tight even though I purchased a wide and a men’s size 8. They are super cute, but I just couldn’t wear them. Bummer.

If you LOVE these shoes as much as I do, buy another pair now: they have been discontinued by NB. They told me today, "... this shoe is no longer being manufactured."

I normally wear a size 11.5. Many of the reviews stated they ran a bit small so I ordered a size 12. Other than being a tad narrow, it was a perfect fit. They look awesome. Would definitely recommend.

I love these shoes so much. Wore them for two years and all of my knee problems went away. Switched back to normal trail runners last year so I could get a little more life out of them (winter running) but all of my knee issues came back. Just started using these again. Takes a couple days of adjusting but no knee issues again so far! Just wish they held up a bit better in the winter but that’s to be expected. Luckily they’re small enough that they’re easy to clean. Please don’t change this model!!

Buying these for the second time. Very comfortable, super-light, and good-looking Note: minimal cushioning in this model so you will feel the ground. Fit like a glove- may be too “minimal” if you like a more supportive shoe. Wide toe box for ninja acrobatics.
