Very nice looking jacket but i wouldn't recommend it to anyone w wide shoulders or an athletic build. Im about 5'5'' 140lbs, and the length was ok but i could not raise or move my arms comfortably amd had to return. I will try the regular fit instead

I've owned several of these which is why I purchased another one. I recently lost 120 lbs so it was time for a new one. Despite being 5' 5" tall and (now) weighing 125 lbs, the "slim" felt too tight in the back / shoulders for me to consider it comfortable. So... I'm simply ordering a small "regular" fit. These FLIGHT jackets are the best; warm, durable, stylish.

Exceptional quality! Fits perfectly to that slim bomber jacket style. I would recommend this if you're looking for a bomber style jacket! Great with casual AND some semi formal wear. Very versatile.

My daughter loved the look of this flight jacket, and she plans to wear it with jeans and a thin sweater throughout the fall. She said the inside of the sleeves feel soft. The sleeves are the right length, and her arms are a little longer than normal. She tried the medium size, and she normally wears a size 6. She felt that the body of the jacket was slightly wider than she preferred, and she would probably size down to a small. There was a red ribbon hang tag that said "remove before flight." My daughter thought that the tag was to make the jacket look more like an authentic flight jacket and that she should leave it on. It was easily removed and we think the jacket looks better that way.

My 21 year old son received the Alpha Industries MA-1 Slim Fit Flight Jacket, and he is looking forward to fall so he can wear it. The sage green color and style has a very military look, but more fashionably sleek. He normally wears a large in jackets, but this jacket is more slim fitting so an XL fits.

The Alpha Industries Flight Jacket is a really nice jacket. I'm not one to wear military style/theme clothes, so it's probably not one I would purchase for myself...but, it's not typical military that I would find off-putting. The green is not ugly Army color, but a soft sage green, as stated, with a bright orange lining. The jacket feels good on, kind of cozy, is true to size as XS Slim Fit, and could be worn just about anywhere if that's your style. I am a "pocket person", and this jacket has great side pockets, both inside and out! I could not find any label indicating laundry instructions, but assume it's machine washable? The slim fit is a bit snug on me..it's okay over a tee, but would be too tight over a winter sweater. I'm 5' and 115lbs so would need a small...and a petite in order to fit at my waist like it's supposed to do. All in all, IF this were my style, it's a comfortable, easy to wear jacket. :)

The quality of this Alpha Industries jacket will have me shopping for the brand again. The heavy-duty zipper has a great feel and the nylon is thick and silky. Plus I was excited that the MA-1 jacket is completely reversible. Fit is true to size.

This jacket is slim fitting, medium weight outwear that is sure to make a statement. The fabric is a black shiny material with orange liner. This jacket embodies the traditional aviation inspired bomber jacket to a T, with added style updates like zippers on the upper arms and a high contrast orange liner. The quality of the zipper is awesome and rare to find. My husband loves the hipster look! Alpha Industries MA-1 offers a quality, trendy every day bomber jacket with high quality materials.

Great looking jacket with some handy pockets for phone, wallet, etc. It's a little too warm for the fall but will be a nice medium weight for Texas winters. Don't love the bright color inside lining but it doesn't show too much anyway.

I am tall (6'1) average weight, and the jacket fits true to size (size large) so may be big on shorter people. Very good quality. The fit for my shoulders is a bit bulky which I don't like but the rest of the jacket is slimmer so kind of an odd fit. Cute style but maybe a little edgy for my taste. Love all of the pockets!

This jacket has a lot of very useful features; zippered pockets, snug cuffs and waistband, plus warm (I guess, it's still too warm in NYC for me to judge) but not bulky fill. It's also reversible from olive drab (not really that drab, and quite shiny) to vivid signal orange, thus giving it greater utility and versatility. The style is firmly rooted in tech-wear as the style name implies but because it is jazzy and shiny it could work for a dressier occasion. Sad to say, it was much too long on my 5'3" frame. The "waistband" was more of a "butt band" on me, not a good look. On a taller person or a shortie with broad shoulders and long torso, this might not be an issue. It's a shame since I am always in search of warm non-itchy outerwear and I do like the combination of colors.

Marshmallow Chic! This cute classic MA-1 bomber-style jacket by Alpha Industries is pretty well made (though made in China, not the USA), with a heavy-duty zipper and a wide knit waistband. It has it has inside pockets and two outside snap-close pockets, with a zippered pocket on the sleeve. While this is a Unisex jacket, if you are female (or male for that matter) and have big boobs, the large cut of the shoulders combined with the limited chest area and poof at the waist could make you look a bit sugarcubey, if you know what I mean. I received this item for free to review. It is not my style, but I would imagine it would be adorable on a very skinny female model type or a well-toned male type. I'll bet it would be perfect for clubbing, as the white is bound to glow impressively under black light! Who says you can't wear a white bomber jacket after Labor Day?

This Alpha Industries MA-1 flight jacket is adorable. The color is perfect and nylon is slightly shiny. It's very cute on. I am 5'2" 123 pounds and busty. I usually wear a size small or medium. The slim fit was a little too slim in the chest for me but perfect around the waist. The sleeves were a little long but still wearable and the shoulders were a little big but it didn't bother me. The length was fine. The style is nice. Love the pockets, heavy duty metal zipper, and orange lining. Definitely warm enough for fall and spring but probably not a New England winter. If you like flight jackets you'll like the style of this one...Might be tricky getting the fit right though.

The quality of the Alpha Industries MA-1 Slim Fit Flight Jacket is excellent. The three fabrics - 1)the water-resistant exterior, 2)the interior lining and 3)the knit cuffs - are each very soft and nice, making the jacket warm and comfortable to wear. It's definitely a slim cut. I wouldn't recommend it for someone taller than 6'1" as the body is cut fairly short, although the arms are plenty long. The all-white version with the red "remove before flight" tag on the shoulder zipper is a bold fashion statement that's not for everyone.

This Alpha Industries slim bomber looked so promising when I received it. The combination of olive and signal orange is bright and upbeat but with an autumnal feel, and I love the slimmed-down lines of the bomber style. I expected it to work well over a shirt and sweater combination without being too voluminous. However, my expectations were dashed when I tried it on. Although it's an XS it swamped my frame and was much too long--ending up below my hips--to look like a true waist-hugging bomber on me. That said, I am only 5'3" and have a very small frame, and it is always difficult to find styles that are not overwhelmingly large on me. If you are medium framed and of average height this might work well for you, and it is a terrific transitional piece for fall into winter. Smaller women beware, though.

This is a warm, stylish jacket. Love the interior pockets that close. Very cute but the XS is still quite big and bulky. I am 5'2" and live in the south. Maybe if I were taller, or wore bulky sweaters (not necessary in the south), I would like the fit more. I am giving it 3 stars because I love the look and it is so cute - just too big overall for me.
