Really liked the look and style of this pullover. Unfortunately the material made the jacket very tight and clingy. Some may like the feeling, but not really comfortable for me.

1st one that I bought was a L and was really tight and XL is big but keeping it. The sleeves at the wrist was almost a deal breaker except I really like the look.

This is a pull over shirt....not a coat in anyway.

Thinking that Gore-Tex was the way to go for a waterproof, light-weight jacket, I purchased this. It is far from waterproof. In a medium rainfall, within ten minutes the jacket gets fairly saturated and simply feels wet on the inside as others have noted in the reviews. I gave it two stars because it is a real nice jacket, just not as advertised with respect to being waterproof.

I compared many rain jackets on features, sizing and cut, and price before settling on the Drizzle. It's good in almost every way...except for the main zipper. It repeatedly gets stuck and becomes incredibly difficult to get started again. (And it's doubly disappointing that I have to pay to send in a jacket that clearly has a material or design flaw.)

I would have given this review 5 stars if it wasn't for the quality of the material the jacket was made of. Do not put keys or phones or anything of weight in the pockets as they can apparently tear pretty easily, as with my case (won't be covered under warranty either as it is considered normal wear and tear). Other than that little gripe, the jacket itself is a great windbreaker and has amazing waterproofing quality. I would take it hiking and backpacking often, and it provided enough protection from the elements while also having the breathability to keep me cool. I have also used it as a spring snowboarding jacket, which works pretty well in keeping me dry and cool throughout the day.

Stylish and lightweight. Fits slim, not much room for layers.
Unfortunately, it is not at all waterproof. Could keep some light rain off, but won't stop rain. The Paclite fabric seems to work well and is light, but they didn't add water resistant zippers. The pit zips leak like crazy, the chest pocket traps water and the hand pockets leak. Unfortunately, the hand pockets also have holes in them for the waist adjustment cord so water gets in the pockets through the zippers and leaks through the holes which are usually just above the waistline on your waterproof pants and down the front of your pants. The result is wet pits, wet chest, wet belly and wet crotch. Not fun.
Best use is casual walks in the park with an umbrella.

This product is only good for a windy day, not in cold temperatures.

I am now struggling with the fit since the L is tight and the XL is turning out to be real loose plus the cuff on the sleeve is huge. I cannot imagine wearing this on a windy day due to the size of the cuffs. Will probably return it for that reason. Excluding the size of the cuff it is actually a cool product since the size issue is a me issue.

I purchased this check in February 2019 and was excited to use it.
This jacket can't even tolerate moderate rain in Southern California of all places. After 20 or 30 minutes I noticed significant amount of moisture on the shoulders back and arms. Then after that my day was done this jacket was soaked on the inside.
So this entire jacket is a fail
Now I have to take it to the store and see what they can do for me.

I bought it in early October 2019, to walk in the rain. And it didn't work out. I got wet on the outside and inside. It took a long time to dry.
In the store, the only advice was, avoid the washing machine as much as possible.
I wanted to walk in the rain, soft or strong. And I ended up wet inside and out.
For the material, and for the brand, I hoped to keep myself totally dry. It was sad to see that I only bought a very expensive raincoat that doesn't work.

I assumed this would be a great jacket, given the gore tex material combined with stylish looks. I was wrong. A steady rain will seep right through the jacket within minutes. It's certainly not waterproof. I'd call it water resistant at best. It'll keep you from getting soaked when you're running from your car to your office, but don't plan on wearing it when you're actually outside in the rain for a good period of time.

Out in moderate rain. Water kept seeping through the back of the jacket as well as in the shoulders and chest. Would not recommend

I would not recommend this product or the sizing guide provided by NF. I own several products that fit true to size, this product misses the mark completely. The features listed on the website greatly conflict with that detailed on the actual item. I'll be returning the item and wouldn't recommend this purchase.

I have worn the jacket a few times. After being out in rain for more than a few minutes, the inside of the jacket gets noticeably wet. I wish I had read the other reviews here, save yourself the hassle of having to try and go through the warranty process.

I bought the coat in November 2018, I used it a few times, but each time I got wet. I love TNF products but this product does not meet my expectations. I am very disappointed because all my other TNF products are perfect.
I bought this coat for hicking because it is compact and lightweight, it is easy to store in a hiking bag. I wore it for hiking when there was drizzle or light rain and despite being Gore-Tex, I was wet underneath. At the time of writing this comment, I wore the coat in a light rain to get to my car to go to work, when I took off my coat I had the back all soaked.

The warranty is a scam! You pay to ship it and while you are left with out a rain jacket while they look for defects. Once you have made the purchase and decided to wear it to see if it works as advertised, you are stuck with it! I argued with the manager at the store in my town about whether or not i washed it? I did not, I wore it. They are the experts right? I must be lying? How else would I know if it works? You pay to ship it and while you are left with out a rain jacket while they look for defects. Please read the other 1 star reviews they are 100% accurate. I will never go into another North Face store or spend my hard earned money on products that do not work! Not waterproof, not guaranteed!

This product does not work as advertised. I live in Portland Oregon, we get rain and I know better than to buy something water resistant. The warranty is a scam! how do you know if a product works unless you use it? Once used it will have to be shipped back to the manufacturer at your expense to see if there is a defect and in that time you go with out?!

Had this jacket for less than a month. Noticed the seams holding draw strings around the waist and hood began to open a few days later both seams completely came apart. Went to the store to exchange the jacket but was told I had to mail it away to the warranty department for repair or replacement. Pretty disappointed in NorthFace for this one.

I've used many waterproof jackets for active wea like mountain biking and hiking so I know how a good breathable jacket should perform. This jacket is no more breathable than a plastic bag... literally! Even after some time in the play park with my daughter on a cold day the jacket was wet on the inside and felt uncomfortable, even with the pit vents open. V disappointed. Good looking jacket for around the shops in the rain but an expensive option if that's all you can do with it.

This is a follow up on my previous comment. I submitted it to NorthFace and had it returned. It "passed " their Gortex test. It did not leak. I am dumb founded. No more NorthFace for me. The quality has gone way down hill due to mass production.

It was not as advertised. Leaked at the seams the first time out in the heavy rain in Seattle. Trip to Europe leaked more. Lucky wore inside down jacket that kept me dry but got the down wet. Short and stylish, but tight fitting for someone HWP. Returned for refund given leaking even as a Gortex jacket.

I explained to the company that within a few wears after washing and drying it, the face fabric absorbs water. It has done this since I first bought it. I explained in great detail with pictures how water beads on the surface in some areas but not in others and that they are not applying enough water repellent.
I wasn't asking for this but they replaced the first one. I get the replacement jacket and it's the exact same problem. They told me to send it back to them again but they just sent it back to me saying that "according to (their) tests it is normal and acceptable without defect." Well, of course it is. I just washed and dried it before sending it to you. But within a few wears, the fabric starts soaking up water again. Why would I spend all this time making phone calls, taking pictures, writing letters, and going to the post office if the jacket worked?
That's it. I'll just keep it and spray it myself and no more north face for me. I suggest anyone considering this jacket just buy a cheap nylon jacket.
It's not even about the jacket anymore; it's just so frustrating and such a waste of time the way large companies do business these days. Why can't they just respray it properly at one of their stores? Instead of fooling around with phone calls and packing and shipping and "our tests show nothing wrong."
