These On Cloudventure Peak's have a neoprene tongue and sides that are tight fitting, I think it's to keep small rocks and debris out when trail running, but they made the shoe fit too tight.
Maybe a half size larger would be better, but I returned them to find a different model.

Well here’s the thing -this is Most comfortable shoe out-of-the-box I’ve ever worn especially for trail running- No breaking. RequiredThey did a stellar job with materials and design. And I get tons of compliments and love introducing people to a new brand they haven’t heard of. However, they seriously skimped on the tread. The main rubber lugs are fine but you’ll see that the ones that have a little foam black cushion under it on the heel are remarkably thin. Those pieces started wearing down After only a few hikes/runs. Which maybe is the price to pay for a shoe that so comfortable/responsive with decent cushion but doesn’t seem right for something like this to be labeled as trail running shoes- Maybe they were built for flat dirt trails and not rocky mountain trails - which is a bummer because otherwise I absolutely love everything about them, Especially the differential/amount of rocker I can’t find it in the other trail shoe
My first pair was a road running shoe which I still have

The shoes are very light and look fantastic. That is until they get a little dirty. Any mud whatsoever stains the white cloth. It is impossible to get clean. I could probably live with that by just getting them dirtier, but I returned them because, after only a month of non-running, offroad wear, the rubber on the toes started separating from the fabric. Even worse, the thin white rubber on the bottom wore through to the black rubber underneath. In general, these are awesome shoes, but the durability is poor at best. Fix that and offer different colors, and it would be a winner for sure.

I ordered these in a 9 and then in a 9.5. I am a true 9 but the 9's were soooo narrow and very tight on my foot. Length was okay, but was probably more on the smaller side). So when I ordered up a size (the 9.5), the shoe was very loose and definitely too long in length. Tried this with another women's style as well. Same story. So, I order the men's "On Cloudventure" in a 7 (comparable to a women's 9) and the width was perfect, as was the length. Overall, I found that the women's shoes seem to all run narrow and slightly snug in length. So unless you have a narrow foot and are in between sizes (ie: 9.25 and order the 9.5) I would suggest trying a men's version.

For an adventure/trail type shoe, it has a LONG way to go to be good! VERY slick on rocks if there is any moisture whatsoever, maybe the most slick shoe I've ever tried. Also, they need a heel grasp loop since the tongue is attached on the sides. Hard to put on with the tongue not allowing upward give and no heel loop to help pull it on.

The only thing these shoes have going for them is the look. Narrow toe box, no arch support, and not much cushion. I wore them around the house for 2 days and they didn't feel too bad. As soon as I got them outside...it was over. Even with an orthotic in these they are just si flimsy and don't hold their shape which compromises the effectiveness of the orthotic. This is the first pair of shoes I've ever had to return to Zappo's and the first pair I ever gave a bad review for. They are just not worth the price tag. I tried them, and I'll never again buy them. Live and learn I guess. I'll stick with my Hoka's.

These shoes fit terrible. I had blisters on my toes within hours of wearing them. The toe box is very narrow despite being "regular width". There is no arch support and even with an orthotic insert they did not feel comfortable. I find the name "on cloud" hilarious because they're was absolutely nothing cloud-like about how these shoes felt. Way too expensive for what these offer. I'll steer clear of this brand and unless you like narrow shoes with no arch support or cushion I suggest you do too.
