I love the look of these shoes, and was so excited that Vionic is making an espadrille! I normally wear a 10 in Vionic shoes, but sometimes with a closed-toe shoe I have to go up a half size. There was no 10.5 so I ordered both the 10 and the 11. The 10 feels a little small. My toes are cramped in the toe box, but the support seems good. I have a closet full of various types of Vionic sandals, and the arch in this shoe is somewhat comparable to most of the sandals - it's probably a bit less of an arch, but I have VERY high arches so this shoe would probably be comfortable for most people. The heel cup in this shoe, however, does not seem as deep as what I'm used to with Vionics. I tried the size 11 also, but it had the same problem with the crowded toe box, and overall the shoe felt a little bit too big. The back of the shoe, as you can see in the photo, sort of pitches forward. I think it might be pushing my foot forward a bit, and that's why I'm feeling pressure in the toes. It also causes a little digging in at my ankle in the back, just above my heel. The fabric upper is mostly elastic, so I'm thinking that after wearing these a bit, they will stretch and become more comfortable. With old time espadrilles, you have to get them very snug so that they'll stay on your feet. These are a little more "constructed" than a traditional espadrille, which I liked for my very cranky feet, but I suspect the same thing holds true: buy a little more snug than you would like because these are going to stretch out. I wound up keeping the 10 to account for the anticipated stretching. I hope I'm not making a $100 mistake, but I really love the look of these shoes, and have historically found Vionic/Orthaheel to be the best shoes for me. Also worth noting: 1.) The insoles are completely removable, so when the cushioning gets broken down, or they get a little, um, fragrant, the insoles can be replaced. I have Vionic insoles that will do the job. 2>) I got the blue striped shoe. The blue is a VERY dark blue - almost black - so keep that in mind as you choose which color you like.

I pretty much wear only Vionics. Occasionally Born or Klogs will make me happy.

These are so cute and comfortable. I never can wear cute espadrilles because they hurt the top of my feet but with the elastic, these work great. I did put an felt half insert in because my toes were a bit cramped and that pushes my foot back against the heel and they are perfect.

The shoes are great and well made with the exception of the back of the shoe. It dug into my heel and scratched uncomfortably. I tried breaking them in, but it was much too painful for me. Other than that, the shoe is great...soft texture and comfortable footbed.

Every spring/summer I gaze longingly at all the cute espadrilles knowing that they just won't work on my high arch/high instep foot. I've tried many times and when I saw these, I decided to try one more time. SUCCESS! Since the weather hasn't warmed up yet, I've only tried indoors, but these feel great on my feet so far and I should be able to do my fast stride due to the great insole. Some are complaining on the fit being small, but since I find Vionic to run a trifle large on my foot these fit me great, particularly in the heel. If the heel had been wider I probably would have walked out of them.

I was so excited to see an Espadrille that would allow the use of my own orthotic. There are two problems with these very cute shoes. The toe box tapers in a bit, causing crowding of my toes. I solved this problem by using my own 3/4 length orthotic. The other problem is that the heel of the shoes curves into the heel causing the edge of the shoe to irritate the backs of my heels. I solved this by adding a piece of moleskin to the edge. I purchased these shoes with the intention of not only brightening up the occasional outfit, but also to use as house slippers that could be worn outside. These are definitely not shoes that I could travel in. They will mostly be worn as slippers.

I really wanted to like these shoes, but wow did they fit different! I even tried a half size bigger and my toes felt so crunched! If I we're to go up another size they would just look awkwardly huge on my feet. It's like the toe box collapses and smashes your toes, so cutting off the last little bit of the shoe, inside. I have a number of Vionic shoes, so I don't think this is common in their line of shoes, just this shoe it seems.

I have several pairs of Vionic shoes, and have always worn a 9.5. In other brands, I wear a 10. For Vionic, these run small, but are more true to size of other brands. Exchanging for a larger size.

OMG Not good! Returning these. While they are super cute and I was excited that they are Vionics, they were killers. I had them on for an hour or two and they really hurt the back of my heal. No thank you! Please know, I have 2 pairs of Vionic thong style sandals and they are amazing. Those, I highly recommend.

These shoes are so extremely cute, and like all Vionic shoes are very well-made, but man are they tight in the toe box! I can barely walk two steps without my toes feeling like they're crushed. It's too bad, because otherwise this flat is well-made, but there's not way I could wear them. Returning them and not ordering again.

Super cute shoe, and very comfortable! I'm a size 9 with a wider foot and these fit perfect in a size 9. They are easy to get on and comfortable!

I saw the reviews were mixed on these, but I adore these - now. Initially I fit into my normal size, but the elastic was SO tight that I knew I wouldn't even try to wear them in. I went up half a size and the elastic was more bearable, but I still had to wear it in. I'd say after 2 short wears, it was fine. The canvas part around on the sides took some getting used to - just felt different. But now that I'm used to this, I love them so much, especially for travel since they are so light and pack well. Other reviews mentioned less support, I think the arch support is pretty good. If you are on the fence, size up and give them a try.

I am a big fan of Vionic shoes. I have extremely wide feet as well as a very high instep and as a result I have a really hard time finding shoes that fit me and are comfortable. I wasn't sure that this style of shoe would work for me because it comes up high on the foot but it's absolutely perfect. These are by far the most comfortable pair of shoes I own. I love them so much I bought another pair of them!!!

Seems like these would work if I had ordered the right size. They are a nice summer shoe and very comfortable if sized correctly.

I LOVE these shoes...the fit is great and they have enough arch support to be comfortable. I can wear them for a long period of time and my feet still feel great. I have a bunion and they do not hurt it at all. Yahoo!

Awesome arch support and pretty comfy but my size 10's were a full size too small. It is a bit too wide for my narrow foot and will only get wider with an 11, unfortunately

I was slightly hesitant to buy these based upon the reviews. I am glad I did because these are awesome. I've been wearing them for 7 hours straight now, right out of the box. They are super comfy. I am heading to a hot climate for the weekend and might consider bandaids on the back heels to avoid any discomfort - but that is mostly because of the weather and the fact that they are new shoes. I've had no issues with the heels and blisters today. I usually wear a 9.5 in shoes and a 10 in boots or heels. I bought these in a 10. I have some wiggle room for my toes. They are not overly snug but are stretchy and comfortable and seem like they will be easy to kick on and off. I have always loved a classic espadrille but can't wear them since none have arch support. This style has some minor modernization to it with the heel shape and trim. I'm so happy I bought them.

Aaahhmazing! These are comfortable right out of the box. No rubbing on toes or heel, and fantastic arch support. Oh, and they're CUTE! I normally wear an 8 1/2 M/B, but find I need to buy a 9 M/B in Vionic.

These espadrilles are such great looking shoes! I have narrow feet, but the upper is stretchy enough that it feels comfortably snug. BUT the size 10 is too short. Fits like a 9. So I'm sending them back, and have ordered an 11. Fingers crossed!

You will need a bandaid on the back of your heel for the first few times you wear these, but other than that, I'm satisfied. The fabric has a bit of stretch compares to traditional Espadrilles, which is nice.

It is always interesting to read reviews about shoes. I would tend to agree about the mild discomfort at the back of the heel. However, after one day of wearing them, they softened, and don't bother me now. But I thought that a clear heel protector over moleskin was a good solution, if needed. I really love these shoes because the support is nothing like the fit of most espadrilles, --which is no support at all. Most espadrilles are flat, and it is impossible to wear them for any length of time. These are stylish and comfortable...a classic, in my opinion. I gave the comfort only 4 stars, due to the breaking-in factor. But once broken in, these are really a "go-to" shoe!!

This shoe is stylish and extremely comfortable. It feels like you're wearing a sneaker. These will be a great option for vacation during which I'll be doing a lot of walking, but don't want to wear clunky sneakers. Perfect!
