I love these boots. It sucks they don't have all the colors in the wide width. I would love to see them add the all black ones as I wear them to work and we can only have all black shoes.

These are a great shoe for hiking and doing field work. I work all day outside doing a lot of walking in rugged terrain and these do the job well.

No, I don't wok for Merrell. I used these shoes to visit Europe for three months. Walked ove 700 Miles. No complaints and they felt great all through the trip. I prefer the wide size which is difficult to find in other brands. Love them.

I'm on my 2nd pair of MOAB 2s in about a year. It's not because of the quality of the uppers or the outsole, but rather, the midsole has become "crushed" and has lost its resilience and comfort. If you were to use a different/more durable type of foam cushioning, like what you used in the All Out Blaze model from a few years ago, I think this would be a very good boot.

Just a good all-around shoe. I normally get a pair every other year, not because they fall apart, but because they just get very stinky haha. This particular shoe is a good choice for warmer weather.

This is the most comfortable boot I have ever worn. They feel great when you first put them on and your feet stay happy all day.
Only thing that disappoints is in wet weather they can be slippery on certain surfaces.

This is my 2nd pair of these. I have used the first pair for several years for many different things. Work, casual wear, walking for exercise, hiking, etc. The first pair is pretty much worn out now so I bought another. My only complaint is that I find the stock insoles really uncomfortable and replace them with the Dr Scholls Active/Running ones. Other than that, great shoes.

I cannot give a five star rating because of blisters. Why? Since 2012, I have purchased three pairs of the original Moab Ventilator and have never had a blister. I think the new sturdier design of the Moab Ventilator II is what caused my blisters. These hiking shoes gave me blisters on the right heel on two different hikes, one in Virginia and the other in Montana. I wore two different type socks and that was not the cause.

I love Merrell hiking shoes for everyday wear. I've been wearing them for many years however, now that I'm getting older (60) I find them increasingly more difficult to wear due to the narrow width! As you know there are only two width offerings "regular & wide". Well, their idea of wide needs to be much-much wider like a 6E wide!
I know many baby boomers that have stopped wearing Merrell's altogether because of this. Merrell is missing the boat on a large market share out there!!

This is my third pair of Merrells. Obviously, I like the boots a lot. My only complaint is that the boots are a little large (size 13), but size 12 is too small, and that the size does seem to vary a bit from pair to pair.

Absolutely love my Merrells. Just wish they had 1/2 sizes as a 14 is just not quite big enuff and a 15 is just a tad too big. Have owned several pairs of Moabs and All out blaze. Love the Vibram soles!! Loved the high arch support in the Blazes. The Moabs have adequate arch support and seem to hold up for me for a good bit o time. I work on asphalt, concrete, rubber roofing, tile floors etc ALL day. Not the best in slip resistance but its manageable as long as your aware of your steps.
Also I cannot say enuff about Zappos customer service!! 1st pair i rcvd 2 different sized shoes but were labeled 15 and they immediately sent me out another pair. Only problem was the new pair came with some kind of pet hair inside of em, obviously a return that someone tried on and supposedly passed Zappos return examination which may need some fine tuning. Nonetheless a few hairs removed easily and shoes were in new condition.

The MOAB 2 Vents are great shoes. They hold up well and my last pair lasted me a year and a half in pretty harsh conditions.
My only complaint is that the insert could be a little more comfortable, with more cushion, as I usually have to purchase aftermarket inserts.

I have owned 2 pairs of this shoe and the Moab 2 has its ups and downs. I am a smaller guy, 5'8" only weighing in at 140 lbs. The first pair I owned seemed to be the best fit and were amazing, they have also stood the test of time, they are very durable and well made. I loved them so much I bought a pair on the website expecting to get the same fit and It is not the same. The new shoe seems slightly bigger than my last pair and my toes can slide around in the front. The width may be too wide for me but they don't have an option to get a smaller width, medium is the smallest. So beware that they may have more foot room than your expecting, if you have big feet, this is good, but if you are small and thin like me, then maybe find a shoe designed for a smaller foot so your feet do not slide around inside your shoe causing irritation after long periods of use.

Merrell shoes in the past have ripped my feet apart. If I wore them for just an hour my feet would be hurting afterwards. Took the Moab 2 for a 10 mile hike with an extra pair of emergency shoes in my backpack in case things did not work out. Surprise, surprise. Made it through the hike pretty well, not great. More comfy than I thought. No pain.

Objectively, there is nothing wrong with these shoes. But I really don't like them. I bought them for general use and walking after I finally wore the soles out of my old Merrell Intercepts. They are fine for short walks and general use but become uncomfortable after a few miles. I was hoping they would improve after being broken in a bit. They did not. I will not buy them again.

The shoes are a little sloppy feeling. Not the usual high standard expected of Merrill. Having said that I just received my Chameleon 8 Love them.

I liked these shoes and they lasted a long time, but they are NOT waterproof, so if it's even lightly sprinkling outside, the minute a few drops get on the front "over the toes" mesh part, the water gets transferred to your socks.
The next time I buy Merrell boots, I will be sure I order the waterproof version!

I can tell these are quality shoes, made and designed well. My husband said they feel very structured and stable. However, they are too wide even for a wide shoe. He has flat arches and wider feet but the extra movement in the width of this shoes made him wish he had gone with a different pair

Over the past few years I personally found the fit and quality to be inferior to over earlier productions. The arch support is not there anymore. The grip is very good but the fit is not supportive around the foot and as a result it feels like you could trip.

The shoe is very good and run a little big. The problem, the insole is not good at all. I ordered a hiking insole and it made a world of difference.
