front toe part of sole detached completely on one foot on first use and partially on the other. Walking on well graded level gravel trails. Put in a returns/replacement request on Merrell website and have not heard anything back. Disappointed to say the least

I have been wearing Moab 2 waterproof for over 20 years, I generally purchased the shoes at the Sports Check in Langley BC Canada. For a few years now I purchase directly from Merrell, online. Every now and then, like this time, I order a different colour than the regular 0610-JO8871 as it turns out. Not only is it a different colour, it is a totally different shoe. it is a larger shoe. (says it is the same size) and does not have as good cushioning. I need very good support as I am a large man. That is why I have worn the Moab 2 for 20 years or so. I am very disappointed that you would sell them as the same product. ( My 7 year old grandson can tell by just looking at them that they are different.) I will be returning both pairs. I would like both pair replaced with 0610-JO8871 at no extra cost please

Very disappointed. Merrell took my order and then they cancelled it. Why would you ask me to review a pair of shoes you would not sell me. I can't say anything about a pair of shoes I have never seen or worn. It's disappointing when you find out that the store is open, but there is no one there.

Returned them, being so rigid and firm made them uncomfortable on my bunions even with EEE width.

had these for 1 year. walking 2 minutes in dewey grass lawn, and the shoes are soaked thru. hiking the day after rainfall, again soaked thru. also something changed with the footbed after a while the centre fore area compressed a bit but just in the centre. my old version of this shoe was more stable which is what i was expecting. same for the half boot version.

Great shoes, butnhate how I've asked to unsubscribe to their mailing lists MULTIPLE times and STILL get like 8 to 10 emails a week from them. Maybe this review will have them take notice of their SPAM email policy.

These seem to be sturdy well-made shoes. The soles provide good traction and seem to last a long time. The problem: after about 9-10 months water started leaking in from the bottom. I can't find a hole anywhere, but it has to be there somewhere because the bottom of one of my feet is now getting wet just walking through wet grass.

The front tip on the left shoe came unglued after one hour. Pretty disappointing. Never had a pair before but needed something light for outdoor walks and work.

Good looking. Great fit. Until you get them dirty. Walking across a freshly cut lawn, my Merrell Moab 2s were coated in grass clippings. Thought I'd throw them in the washer with a few towels for a quick wash cycle. That washing completely - completely - destroyed these shoes. They shriveled like raisins and distorted from heal-to-toe. No warnings indicated on the care label. Durability gets a zero.

These shoes maintain the comfort and stability Merrel is know for. Unfortunately, Merrell having switched from Goretex to MDry they are no longer anything resembling waterproof. I am not referring to slogging through puddles but rather walking on pavement in a rainy day. If you need a waterproof hiking shoe look elsewhere

Merrell Men's Moab 2 Vent Hiking Shoe I've been wearing Merrell's for the last ten years, the style that fit me best was the All Out Blaze (Discontinued). I've tried for months to break in a pair of Moab's, can't do it.

Ordered same size as I have been wearing for years. Toe box very narrow and length seemed short. One hike, killed my feet. Gave to grandson. Going back to old brand

Bought these to replace an earlier version of the shoe, which was fantastic. The new one is too clunky and gives me a sore knee. I can't wear them after one week.

Great shoe for hiking, but not at all waterproof. The shoe gives great support and keeps your ankles from moving too much. If you are hiking and you know you won't be around any rain or water, great shoe, but they are not waterproof, like at all. I went on a walk with very light rain and by the time I returned, but my feet were totally soaking wet. I've owned other Merrell shoes and absolutely loved them. I am incredibly disappointed in these and returned them. Merrell needs to step up and fix this if they want to hold themselves out as a quality brand.

Whenever I spend more than 10 minutes in the rain or walking through slushy snow, any water contacting the tongue of the boot soaks through onto my feet. I can actually wring water from my socks as a result. By contrast, I get sweaty feet anytime wearing the boots more than a couple of hours indoors.

I have been wearing Moab Ventilators for many years. They were my go to shoe and I have 4 different shoes now in the rotation. My recent purchase has been returned. The design change from 4 cloth eyelets and 2 inserted eyelets to 4 and 1 coupled with reducing the tongue length from 6 inches to 5 inches was a bad one. The shoe does not fit as snug. It feels like your foot wants to come out of the shoe. I am not sure why anyone would want to detract from a perfect shoe. Cost savings? I cannot believe that reviews would say to reduce eyelets and the length of the tongue as I was told by customer service. I will try a competitor.

Shoe is not "waterproof"; walking through wet dew grass and got the toes of my sock wet! Very disappointed. Have another brand that works well. Would not buy brand again.

I read the reviews and many of them said to go a half size larger than normal size because they run small. I did that and they were still too small. The arch support is very uncomfortable on the outside of the feet and they are extremely hot.

Fit right. Walk all types of trails, paved and dirt, wet or dry. So far the waterproof is holding up.
