One of the only options in wide out there, especially if you have a high arch too. Tried on everything else, this was the only one that was comfortable.

These are so comfortable. They felt great right out of the box, with plenty of toe room. I never had to break them in. They're perfect for trail-walking, and the mid-height protects my ankles on uneven ground. I usually wear size 8 1/2, but these fit well in a size 8. You might want to size down 1/2 size. if you get these.

I love these shoes, I've been wearing them for at least ten years. I'm getting ready to buy my 4th pair. But I'm sad that they still only have dirt colors. If your going to give options please give color options and not shade options. I would love grey or black. I wear these every where even with my dresses. I need the traction, stability, and durability of these shoes with all my instability. These days most my falls happen at home when I'm not wearing my Merrells..

I wear 10W. The shoes fit very well, very comfortable with excellent arch support. The soles are removable.

So comfortable! Ready to wear out of the box, no breaking-in required. I have the low cut model and I was not disappointed. Plenty of room for my toes. I took a star off because I wish they came in more colors.

These fit nicely, but were warmer than I cared for, given they were to be used in hot climates. I opted for a shoe version of these and was quite content with them.

Have been wanting a hiking boot with ankle support. Boot is comfortable in heel and arch, but will need breaking in before long hikes.

Great boots. They are bulky but light. Heavy tread you can feel but isn't annoying. A curve in the heel/ankle area is very notable but after 30 minutes or so I didn't notice anymore. After many hours of standing and walking 24 acres my feet didn't hurt.

I am a woman of a certain age(over seventy)and I need support that is firm and gentle.I have a long instep, and need a size 11,and these boots deliver, when I hike and when I shop.I prefer the tall version, for my ankles, and appreciate the relatively wide and stable heels. They also accomodate different insoles.Good support, reasonnable price, and there is a waterproof version available. They are easy to get into and do not rub the top of my feet too much(I have high arches).Don't stop making them!

First time ordering Merrel product. Shoe fits great! I have a wide foot and I have plenty of room. Size was perfect fit. They are a little stiff, so trying to take smaller walks before doing a longer walk/hike. This is the only reason this was not a five star!

My hubby and I were researching hiking boots with good reviews only. We decided to try the Merrell brand with vibram sole. We wanted water proof boots as well but didn't find good enough reviews to pay the additional cost. This boot was comfortable right out of the box. I would have given them a 5 star but lateral movement hurt my feet. The strapping on the sides of the boots hurt when ever pressure was lateral. We hike a lot and my feet hurt after our 6 mile hike. Possibly getting used to boots? We will try them out again on our next hike. The mid boot and vibram sole gave my ankles great support which was the goal for choosing this hiking boot. Wished the water proofing got better reviews for overall performance & cost.

I received my MOAB boots much sooner than promised, so got to try them out on mountain hikes last week while we were camping. I wore them from sun up to sunset with no discomfort. I hadn't really considered when I chose these particular boots that dirt does get inside through the "breathable" panels, maybe that's just part of the experience, but I found myself shaking them out at the end of the day and none of my socks will ever be the same. Great ankle support, no complaints except $$$

I made the switch from hiking in my tennis shoes to hiking in these boots so I do not have other boots to compare them to but I love them compared to my tennis shoes. They are very comfortable and able to handle a day hike really well. I would definitely recommend these shoes.

Comfortable shoe but not really waterproof. I believe everything but the tongue is water resistant.

I have always loved my original Merrell Moab vent mids, but the Moab 2 is a very strange fitting shoe. It's way more bulky and feels overall larger than the original. They look and feel more clunky too.

I bought these thinking that they would be the same height as my other hiking shoes and would hold my ankles. They come up to just barely my ankle and can't tighten them in the right places or they will get to tight on the top of feet. I didn't discover how much I was dissatisfied until I wore them for a hike. Not even close to the comfort as my old pair that started to come apart from so much ware

Fit true to size, true to width (I ordered 8.5 wide), but unfortunately the high arches built into the footbed were not comfortable. The arch sits a little too far back toward the heel for my foot, and is just too high and too hard. I swapped the insoles with the ones from my Vasque boots, but could still feel the arch. Wore the boots for 3 hours around the house and my feet started to hurt. Wanted to love these boots, everything else is great and it's hard to find good non-waterproof hiking boots for wide feet, but the footbed is too uncomfortable.

I really enjoyed wearing these, except I found they didn't have the arch support I needed to support my feet on a 10 mile hike. So maybe better for shorter distances? I think I will try some insoles. Otherwise loved them! I don't generally find I need much arch support, but on any distance of a hike I guess that's a tad important.

This was my favorite hiking boot. This is my 2nd pair. My first pair was so comfortable. No issues right out of the box.
Unfortunately, the toe box in this new pair is much tighter than my last pair. I ordered the same size but am getting bruising after long hikes. I should have gone a 1/2 size up.
I hate it when companies fiddle with a good thing. If they must, I wish they would educate customers on the fact that they changed the fit on a much loved product!
I am back to wearing my old boots. A lot of $$ out the window.

I love these shoes. I've owned several pairs over the years but haven't purchased a pair in quite a while due to the poor color options. I work outside, the light tan pair is a poor option as it would be immediately stained. The other two "options" are both purple. C'mon, it's 2020!!! Not every female wants pink or purple on their shoes!!! Personally, I can't stand the color purple. I honestly wish my feet were larger so that I could wear a pair of mens shoes- something dark brown, black, grey, dark blue, anything but pink or purple or nearly white. I'm so disappointed in the lack of realistic options because I love these shoes. Merrell, get with the program and change up the color scheme of the moab ventilator PLEASE

Like my previous pair of Moabs, they fit like a glove. But also like my previous pair of Moabs, they are obnoxiously flashy. I got the most sedate color I could ("heather/bracken" or something like that) and was super jealous of the men's sizes which come in a lovely brown and black. I even emailed Merrell support to ask if the men's sizes are wider than women's (they are - and I have narrow feet - so fit is more important than color.)
Merrell! Come on! Not all women like bright flashy colors and not all men like drab ones! Just make me some nice drab brown shoes that fit JUST LIKE THIS (because the fit is so amazing) and I'll be in love with you all over again.

I have worn this type of Merrell boot in a 7.5 M, but this current year's pair rubbed my inside toe.
I called the company and they advised a wide, but it is too loose on my heel.
Been wearing these daily for work & yard work. Sad to say I have to move on.
The boots did last me 2-3 years of constant wear in wet Florida.
They have the pronator control (inside lateral stabilizing support).
Now I have to search again for a woman's boot.
