Uncomfortable. I wear a 39 or 8.5. I tried the 8.5, but it was swimming on me. I exchanged it for an 8, and my heel still slipped out in the back as I walked. I then bought the 7.5, which solved the slippage problem, but the length was a bit short. I wanted these to work very badly - the look is just right for my casual work (professor), and I'm short and like a little bit of platform (I wear Patagonia clogs in winter). I also liked the charity element of Toms. So I walked about my apartment a lot in these, in each size. Eventually I knew I'd regret the 7.5, and tried and tried with the 8. I got used to the way the size felt - it felt as though the canvas would mold to my feet even though the problem was too wide - but the true dealbreaker in the end was that they don't have a flexible sole. I was about to walk outside in them, but I was so uncomfortable all I wanted to do was take them off. I can't recall the last time I tried so hard with a pair of shoes - I'm not a believer in "breaking in"; if they don't fit, they're gone. But these were just what I am looking for, and they look great on. The unhappy ending is I returned them. By the way, the "platform" doesn't look like one at all; they've got a plain, low-profile look.

I love these shoes! They are exactly what I wanted with a thicker sole. They did, however, take a couple of weeks to break in. I had some blisters on the back of my feet, but now they are comfortable. I wish there were more fabric choices/colors with the same shoe design.

Idk what these other women are talking about when they complain about this shoes. I got them in black they arrived last night. I wear a 8&1/2 fit like a glove. These are my first pair of Toms. So I'm super impressed. Felt like I was walking on white pillow clouds all day. I stand 10 to 13 hours a day on a concrete floor at work I've been doing hair for over 25 years. These are hands down the most comfortable shoe I have EVER owned. And I have owned everything! My legs or feet or back didn't hurt me one bit all day. That's a first. Do yourself a favor and buy them!!!!! Oh and I have a medium with foot not narrow at all. I'm still astonished that I didn't even have to break them in, no rubbing no nothing. They are lined with something super soft so idk how you could blister. Buy buy buy!!! Oh btw I never write reviews but I had to for these.

I am ordering my fourth pair of these shoes... which is funny because I was sure i'd have to return them when I received the first pair... They seemed too wide... too big... so I put in some foot petals and that seemed to do the trick. I normally wear either an 8.5 or a 9... the 8.5 now fits me perfectly. Most shoes out of the box are not perfect, and need time to break them in, or need some inserts (I do like foot petals, which are available here on Zappos)... I'm excited about the next pair of these to arrive!

Love the look of this shoe but it cut into my arch and was painful to walk in. It is made for people with narrow feet. I have wide feet. Sadly it is going back.

LOVE the look of these shoes -- I get a lot of compliments on them, and boy are they comfortable in terms of cushioning! I wear a 10 in TOMS typically and these were no different. My only complaint, and the only reason I knocked off a star is because they dig into your heel quite a bit -- the material on the heel is very stiff; however, this is nothing that those heel cushions couldn't fix!

These shoes are absolutely adorable, BUT unless I plan on standing completely still, they are impossible to wear. The sole is so rigid that I couldn't even bend it with my hands, let alone there being any bend when I walk. The shoe is very cushiony inside, but it's like trying to walk on a board...no bend at all, so the back of the shoes slipped off my heels with every step. Wish they were better made. Sad they didn't work. So cute.

I love this shoe. I also purchased it in bloom. It is so comfortable and looks so cute and casual. Definitely a shoe I can wear all day long. Great for chasing kids around! The platform is hardly noticeable but looks cute.

I love these shoes! I had first bought them in Bloom, which is such a fun color for summer/early fall and spring. I just bought the toffee and think it will be perfect for fall! These shoes are so comfortable. You almost forget you have them on. I wear anything between a 9 in heels to 10 in athletic shoes. The 9.5 fits me perfect. I have a very narrow foot so these shoes are a little wide for me, but not enough that I slip out or anything. Would highly recommend these if you’re on your feet a lot or if, like me, you’re a busy mama and want something easy but cute to chase your kids around in!

These shoes are so comfortable! I wanted them in the tan suede, but my size was sold out. I purchased blossom instead and it is so cute! Looks darling with white jeans, blue jean shorts, everything. Did I mention these are comfortable?? It’s like walking on air. Love that they have a very low platform, but nothing that’s hard to walk in. Love my Toms and might purchase tan when they get restocked!

I was weary to buy due to previous reviews but risked it! So glad I did. Wore them the first time for a 4 hour walking outing. No blisters or sores. I have a small narrow foot and they fit fantastic. Ordered a 5 1/2. They are my go to shoe this summer.

I've had this style toms in the toffee suede since April and have loved so much that I was thrilled to buy a second pair on sale in black suede. Love both- they are super comfortable even with a bunion and occasional plantar fascitiis flare-up. They have a really comfy cushiony insole, plus love the (very low) platform since I cannot stand very low flat heels/soles. The suede fabric has a nice "give" to i- the toffee is a good color for lighter colored pants and faded jeans, while the black looks fantastic with black pants!!

Very comfortable shoes, and so cute! I typically wear a 6.5 or a 7.....the 7 worked best for me in these shoes.

Tom's are not totally my style-per say- but man are these shoes comfortable. I wear an 11 and they fit perfectly. I keep going for them because they are so cushy but supportive. Would be a great shoe for Europe or city sightseeing travel!

Love these! I tried the Soludos first and they did not fit. Exchanged for these and the Toms are cuter than they look on website. They are comfortable and fit well!

Look great. Only very minor complaint is the heel is a bit wide so I slip out

Decidedly to keep this shoe despite the fact that they are a little loose and slip a little on my heel. I have a narrow bony foot so I’m used to making modifications to my shoes. They are very cute and the footbed is nice and cushy. Hope I can make them work!

I am recovering from plantar fasciitis and these shoes actually feel good because of the stiff sole. The top of the shoe may not be high enough for my high arch, but otherwise the fit and the style are great. The color is an excellent neutral brown that goes with everything (other than khaki pants).

Very comfortable and supportive. I bought my usual Toms size (which is a 1/2 size smaller than other brands).

Having read the varying reviews regarding size I, too, ordered my regular size. The sizing is correct in length, but a bit narrow. Agree with another comment that the insole is quite hefty (which is what makes the shoe so comfy) and I'm sure is what's causing tightness. Will be trying a different insole. My right foot is a tad bigger and is somewhat squished in the width. Sure wish they came in wide width. Love the shoe! So I'm going to make it work.

The leather is soft and comfortable and the shoe is cute and provides support. Had to return for a 1/2 size smaller. I ended up with the same size I get in the Toms canvas classics.
