I needed to replace my Gel-Craze TR 3 shoes but I was concerned because I had read reviews that since the TR 4 is lower profile I would have heel slippage issues (always a concern for me). Luckily I was able to try this on at a Asics store and the salesperson told me how to use the extra hole to keep my heel locked. Now the shoe fits perfectly and is very stable (I just have to be careful not to tie too tight). Not everyone knows how to keep their heel locked! If I had ordered online instead of getting store help I would have returned the shoes because of fit issues.

I was absolutely crazy about the ASICS Gel-Craze TR3 and since it has been replaced with the new TR4, I thought I would give it a try. It's not quite as comfortable nor does it feel as "cushy" as the TR3. It is cut slightly lower than the TR3 which caused some discomfort during my first few workouts. Now that I've used them for 2 solid weeks, I'm getting used to the lower cut. Overall it's a decent shoe - supportive and pretty comfortable for high impact & interval cardio Jazzercise workouts. I would like to see ASICS go back to the higher cut on this shoe though. I've rotated between Ryka & ASICS and still find ASICS Gel Craze to be the most comfortable shoe.

I bought 6 pair of shoes from Zappos trying to find the perfect studio/step aerobics cross-trainer and these are the ones I'm keeping. I'm not a big fan of the neon orange shoe laces, but they are by far the best functional shoe from the ones I tried - Rykas, Nike and other Asics (Gel Fit Yui). These provide sound lateral support, very comfy mesh tops which allow your big toe some freedom (nothing bearing down on it). The shoe is very stable with a wide stance that feels it will be perfect for stair climbing or step class. Also love the heel security and comfort in the ball and sides of my feet and overall. I do understand what others are saying about the low stance - that does seem true and maybe the TR3 would have been better, but I think it will also give free movements. The only thing I would change would be the tongue, which seems cushioned and comfortable, but it is an odd shape and I can feel the edges of it. Perhaps it should provide more coverage and cushion for comfort.

I have had these shoes since March and have only worn them maybe a dozen times and already the tread on the bottom is coming off. I am very disappointed in this purchase. I spent good money on these shoes and they are falling apart.

I've worn Asics 10.5 for the past several years. These are definitely smaller than they used to be. When I first started wearing Asics gel they were a lot cushier than they are now. Why must they change shoes when you find one you like??

I had hoped that these shoes would be perfect as is, but I did need to add OTC orthotics to increase the arch support. Without the extra support my knees started to hurt. So, if you need arch support for overpronation in running shoes (these aren't dedicated running shoes) or otherwise, you might be able to find a better pair. However, I do like them well enough and already had the orthotics, so I didn't cost me extra.

Finally found a shoe that works on many levels. It's still not perfect for me, but it's the closest I could get to my old ASICS. I choose this brand of workout shoe because they run wider than many other sneakers do. My foot isn't wide, but it's definitely not narrow. These are very light, comfy, I love that the toe area breathes, and that they aren't clunky like other cross trainers. My only beef with it is that they are cut SO low that my heel pulls out of the shoe and I feel my toes crossing over to "hold" the shoe on while I exercise. I don't think they would actually come off, but it's not a perfect fit. I had to go up a half size, as the 9 was too short, so maybe this 9.5 is just a bit too long. But they will suffice.

When I first put the shoes on, I was afraid they’d be too small, but when I stood up and my heel seated squarely, they were just fine. Snug, but they fit. I would recommend going 1/2 size up if your usual size fits with no wiggle room. I wear these shoes indoors only for mat workouts and weight lifting, and they are fantastic. I upgraded from some laceless shoes that would slip off my heels while doing burpees. The ASICS stay right where they start, no slippage. The toe box is comfortable and my toes aren’t squished. They have just the right amount of support to protect my joints but keep my foot strength. For me, they were the perfect solution.

I was told these are the best shoes for Orangetheory Fitness workouts, and it’s true (for me, anyway.) I had been wearing Asics running shoes and was experiencing knee pain. Within a week after switching to these, the pain was gone. The soles are flexible, they have a lower profile, and there’s more room in the toe box. I have high arches so I added custom molded insoles for better support, which I do with all athletic shoes. As with most Asics, they run large. I’m a 9 in regular shoes and wear a 10 in Asics. I love that they are mostly black with no crazy accent colors.

These fit perfectly and are really comfortable. I work out daily on a cement basement floor and these really seem to help avoid excessive impact on my joints.

I ordered 4 pairs of different gym shoes for HIIT and Insanity type workouts. This was the pair I chose. I’ve only worked out (HIIT) in them twice, but so far they’ve proven to be a good pick. I take the removable inserts out and put an ortho insert (Super Feet) so I’m not sure of the arch support. The shoes are not real thick in padding, but they have just enough to be comfortable but I still have great balance for jumps, skaters, one legged deadlifts, etc. I wasn’t very impressed with the colors in the pictures, but I ordered them anyway because I was going for functionality. After receiving the shoes I was pleasantly surprised and actually like the way they look. I usually wear a 5 but I heeded the advice of others and ordered a 5.5. They fit perfect.

These sneakers are comfy. Though they are half a size too small, normally I wear a 6 or 6 1/2, usually a little bigger in sneakers to have ample room. I ordered a 6 1/2 and they were way too small. But of course Zappos is amazing and helped me seamlessly send them back and get a 7. The 7 fits perfect. I wore them right out of the box on a nice dog walk and they were great!

I've actually been wearing and purchasing Gel-Craze for many years. I regularly do high impact cardio classes, and this shoe always provides me the best comfort and durability! I'm in my 40s, and have been able to maintain high impact workouts with these shoes. Zappos had a better price than Asics, too - thanks Zappos!

These are very comfortable shoes. I usually wear an 8, but and 8 1/2 fit better this time.

I bought these for my exercise class. So comfortable even after workout is over.

I love these shoes for lifting or doing aerobics. Arch support is okay but if you need more support then I would suggest a different shoe.
