Tried these socks for the first time today. They are thicker than I expected and definitely warm. The packaging says they are a COLD WEATHER sock but the description at Zappo's doesn't spell that out. The socks are very comfortable and well cushioned. They are also longer than usual but not too tight on the calves. The socks take extra room in shoes or boots. They won't work in shoes that are not large enough to accommodate the extra bulk.

The quality matched my expectations. I will be back.

Best I can remember, this is my first pair of wool socks, ever--and I'm over 60! I'm very sensitive and always figured wool would be too scratchy. I was convinced by the reviews that these might not be, and sure enough, they're plenty soft enough for a delicate flower such as myself. ;-) They do fit more snugly than the non-wool socks I bought, but are not uncomfortably so. I highly recommend these socks.

These socks fit very well, although they are not as stretchy as non-wool socks. They seem to have enough wool to make them warm and comfortable without being itchy. The foot is fairly thick while the cuff is considerably thinner. These should make really good hiking socks.

My husband has trouble finding socks that are warm and not too tight. He LOVES these socks on both counts!!

These socks are my favorite warm wool blend socks. They are stretchy, supportive, lightweight while still being nice and warm. They are very comfortable to wear.

CAUTION: The LIGHTER color in the images is NOT "CHARCOAL HEATHER" as labeled, but rather "HEATHER GRAY." If you want lighter, choose "Heather Gray." Zappos: CORRECT THE IMAGES TO MATCH THE COLOR LABELS PROPERLY!!!
