I tried these on at a local REI store and ended up buying a couple pair from Zappos due to there superior customer service. These pants are great. I was looking for a high quality pant to replace my everyday cheapo khakis I've worn for many years and these fit the bill. These are all I want to wear. Quality, comfort, stretchy where they need to be and very stylish. They dry super fast and clean up very well. The Kuhl brand has won me over! Will definitely buy more.

LOVE these pants. I usually wear Blackhawk! and I still like them for very harsh conditions but these hold up well under harsh conditions as well and are very comfortable. They also look great too. The sizing is pretty much right on as I wear a 36 for comfort and these in a 36 are perfect for me at 6'2 210 lbs with an athletic build. I know some reviews said they didn't last so time will tell on thee as I just get em but so far so good. Give em a try!

These pants are pretty amazeballs. The construction and thoughtfulness are top notch. Be forewarned the fit is relatively slim. Not Justin Bieber skinny pants but more form fitting than I am accustomed too. The fit took a couple days to get used to but have settled in quite well. When purchased on sale they are a heckuva bargain. With Zappos return policy you can't go wrong.

Fit as expected. Seem durable for how lightweight they are. Overall they are comfortable and allow freedom of movement.

Everything about these is great except for the hook-and-loop closure on the rear pockets. A real pain to get your wallet out. I'll still order another pair.

It appears that Kuhl is lowering their standards. These pants are not as good as the previous model. However, they are still okay and I needed a summer color and fabric weight. Just don't expect all of the features, fabrics, design, and construction. Bottom line? At this price, they are a good buy.

I agree with the previous review regarding the difference in these pants. i have bought my previous convertible Renegade about 2 years ago. Same size, same inseam. First, the material: these are more stretchy, but they have a more "plasticky" feel to them. They are uncomfortable on the skin on a hot day, after you sweat in them, i.e. long airplane ride, they make my skin itch. Not so with the older material. Second, the cut. These sit much higher on the hips. There is no extra room around the buttocks for stretch when you sit down. The side "pleats" that are supposed to make the pant more comfortable, give it more room when you bend over seem to be in the wrong place. The pocket for the phone on the right leg is too far to the back, thus you sit on the phone. The previous cut was the opposite of all of the above: they sit lower on the hip, there is a little baggy-ness to them so that when you sit down they still feel comfy, and the phone pocket is on the side, slightly to the front of the leg, so you can access teh phone easily. Maybe i got a lemon, but the previous reviews suggest otherwise. Mine are going back.

I strongly agree with the negative reviews on these pants. Kuhl has ruined the Renegade with terrible changes in material, fit and style. Nothing like my previous Renegades. Question is why did Kuhl od this? I have found similar comments on every website I found selling the Renegade. Also noticed that REI does not even carry the Renegade any longer. Guess they got the message from customers as well. I think the fit change is the biggest negative changes. The Kuhl website says the Renegade is still Klassick fit but first thing I saw when I opened the box was the tab on the waistline that says Full Seat and Thigh, Wide Through Lower Leg. They are definitely going back!

Kuhl is in the pants business, however, they can’t figure out how to get sizes correct. The pair of Renegades I purchased from Zappos is almost 2 inches larger in the waist than indicated on the tag. They literally fell down to my ankles because the waist is so ridiculously large. Other Renegade pants purchased from Kuhl directly and other retailers were also significantly larger in the waist than indicated on the tags. The hassle of buying Kuhl pants and having to return them isn’t worth it. I’m done with Kuhl.

I haven't even bought these yet but feel compelled to write this review. Why do you take a great product and screw it up? I just don't understand the skinny pants trend. It looks horrible at the Oscars and it sure doesn't fly for most of us that use the pants for both office and outdoors. These are not going to lay right over a nice pair of everyday shoes. I used to love, love, love Kuhl pants and now I'm having to look elsewhere.
