I've worn the New Balance Minimus for about 10 years and this is my first pair of the Inov8's. These shoes have the same, great minimal feel I had in the Minimus, but the upper feels more secure and the rubber sole is much stronger. So far, they've held up great through rope climbs, long runs, sled pulls and all the other hell I've put them through. Great shoes!

I've owned a lot of these shoes. I ordered the 250's and 235's to compare yesterday . I had been wearing 250's for the last 6 months but they're getting old and I'm always looking for something new. After putting one on each foot I still prefer the 250's for the gym. The stability, heel, and overall feel is much better for heavy lifting. The 250 won as my everyday gym shoe for upper, lower, and cardio. I'm more of a dead lifter who jogs than a jogger who deadlifts. If you're the opposite, go with the 235's. I think the 235's are great for mobility and agility stuff. They are surprisingly comfortable but I would compare them more to the UA MicroG or a Nike Air (without the padding) than a crossfit/lifting shoe. I'm keeping the 235's as an every day, go to the grocery, walk around Disney shoe. I have black big toes and squished pinky toes from wearing Nikes a month ago on a long vacation. The innov-8's across the board (370's, 335's, 250's, 235's, and 185's) have a wider toe box which I really like.

This is a great shoe for people with medium to slightly wide feet. It is quite minimalist and has very low padding, so you'll feel each step and connect with the ground. Some advice - If you need a lot of padding or a cushion shoe, do not get this pair.

First off, as a female who wears huge, wide shoe, this is the most petite my feet have ever looked!! Dainty, almost!!! Innov-8 F235 - mens 10, standard (D) width selected for width & zero drop- for female (I usually wear 11-12 in womens) with wide feet and bunions. I have a hard time finding shoes that do not cause pain. I was apprehensive to try "minimal" shoes, with all the pain, I prefer a cushion. I also shop specifically for Zero Drop, Low Rise shoes (for those unfamiliar, it's when the toe is the same height as the heel, not raised, as some heels will be). These Minimalist zero drop shoes are great. The arch support is actually quite nice!!! Way better than a flat arch minimal style. They provide a better relationship between my feet and the ground (compared to thicker soled shoes). While many D widths are too narrow for me, these feel wide enough and still fit my arch & heel. Other brands of Men's EE usually fit in the toebox and are often too wide in the heel and do not provide the proper arch support. Wearing these shoes makes my body feel properly aligned and in contact with the ground. They do not have much cushioning, but are still very comfortable. I am looking forward to trying more styles from this brand. I like bright colors, so the style works for me! I chose the bright blue with orange and it's all much prettier in person. I hope these will work for me .

Finally found something as good as the first pair of Innov8s that I ever bought. As I got older I need the space in the toe box to keep my feet from generally hurting. I have never needed a wide shoe, but shoes just seem to get more narrow as time goes. Either way, these really fit well. They might not be a wide shoe overall. but they are definitely wider in the toe box than most shoes. Had these for several months now and they're holding up well. Mostly used in the gym.

Haven't lifted in them yet. The toe box is awesome and roomy while the heel is nice and snug; and the shoe itself is pretty comfortable.

Very similar fit to the original F-Lite 235. Slightly longer in the toes, but not enough to make a huge difference.

I bought these for my husband who does HIT training and he absolutely loves them. They have a good platform for heavy workouts but he wouldn’t recommend them for more than s light jog. They don’t have the necessary padding for any distance.

These perfectly accommodated my very wide (EEE) foot. They have a lot of stretch, so they’d likely fit a more regular wide foot too. I normally wear Altras for the wide toe box, but these fit just as well but with a much more sleek look.

Shoe fits well, solidly ‘attached’ to my feet. Works well with my orthotics. Padding at the front is limited, so I would not use this as a running shoe, but for going to the gym and working out it is just perfect. Very stable.

Fit and comfort: Bought these for teenage son (high school) with medium/narrow feet and very high arches. The fit is true and he finds them comfortable. He walks a lot and is on his feet a lot but is not a distance runner. Look: He gets a lot of positive feedback on the look & color from his friends and peers. (He chose neon green.) Wear and tear: The sides and top are a mesh that is partially see-through, which is actually very cool looking. The mesh has a water repellent outer liner that keeps his feet dry, no small accomplishment when we are getting lots of rain (hurricane season.) The rest of us are drying our shoes after exercise outside and he throws his in the closet.

I bought these sneakers for lifting and cross training at the gym. I must say they have exceeded my expectations, they are comfortable and fit true to form. I have a wide foot and typically have trouble finding a sneaker that fits. These were the perfect fit my foot is a 9.5 wide so I ordered a half size bigger based on some reviews, I had to return those for an 9.5 and they fit perfect. Would highly recommend.

Great shoe. Feels great during HIIT training/Bootcamp workouts. Looking forward to lifting with these too. Not a x fit guy here, but these shoes are intended to be used for Bootcamp and lifting sessions as well as agility training. I have most always been an 8.5 size. These ended up being too long for me, so you might want to order a half size smaller than usual. Zappos of course made the exchange smooth and easy as pie, so getting the wrong side didn't really inconvenience me much. They even upgraded me to next day shipping at no additional cost! Very happy with my purchase. Just didn't fit correctly at first attempt. I've not opened these long, so don't quote me for any long term feedback yet.

i bought these for CrossFit. i normally wear a men's US-size 12, but i had to a half size larger to get the right fit (12.5 US). i was concerned about the wider toe box, as my previous shoe was the Inov8 F-lite 235 [v1] in size 12.5 US. what i really liked about the 235v1 was how narrow it was, and all of the shoes out there were ridiculously wide or had stupid crazy big toe boxes. as my shoes wore out, i began looking for a replacement. that's when i eventually found and settled upon the 235v2. however, in the beginning i was put off, because i saw that the 235v2 had a wide toe box. so, i hesitated to buy them and instead went out and tried several other mainstream CrossFit shoes. i tried the Reebok Nano 8 (size 12.5), but something didn't feel right. i liked the sock liner thing, but something was off with the feel of moving around. i tried the Nike Metcon 4 (size 12.5). they actually fit okay minus my heel slipping out. it was too bad, because the Nike Metcons, IMHO, have the absolute best style. i felt EMBARRASSED wearing my Inov8 F-Lite 235 [v1]. they look like bowling shoes. but they fit so good that i didn't care that they looked like clown shoes. btw i'm not the type to gawk at people's gym shoes or attire, but i know an ugly shoe when i see it. anyway, i'm at the gym to sweat it out. so, i'll sport the shoe that can help me get the job done. i digress... so, i tried one more shoe before settling on these F235 v2. i got the Inov8 F-Lite 195 CL (US 12.5). for Inov8, the style on these, again IMHO, was the best. they ran narrow, fit pretty good, and felt pretty good. so, why did I choose the F235 v2? ya know, thinking back upon it, i'm not sure why i decided to even give them a shot. oh! it may have been that Zappos didn't carry the color way i wanted for the F-Lite 195 CLs (black). so, I thought, 'maybe give the 235 v2 a chance before ending this tireless mission of the perfect CrossFit shoe for my stupid narrow feet.' thus, i ordered both the US size 12 and 12.5 235v2, and found that the 12.5 (with roomier toe box and all) actually fit best. the 12 was too small. i also went for simple and ordered the black&grey color way. however, i was slightly tempted to order the neon green, just to join the ridiculous-color-club. ok, fast forward to now. I have done several WODs in these. everything from lifts to runs to rope climbs, and they're holding up well and feel great. they're actually pretty light weight and seem to have a lot more technology than the previous shoes. the laces seem to keep the shoe snug on my foot and the toe box has not been an issue. in fact, the toe box/toe construction seems to be improved over the 235v1 as my toes feel like they are taking less a beating during endless burpees. tech includes lighter, breathable fabrics, and details ...and things. there appears to be a lot of different fabrics, rubbers, and plastics in this shoe. mm hmm. ok, shopper, hope that helps you decide. oh, and for reference, i wear a men's 11.5 US in converse chuck taylor all star core. and, lastly, i know there's a few new shoes on the market, but i never got around to trying NOBULL or STR/KE MVMNT. these brands are not carried by Zappos [yet?].
