I use these shoes for crossfit. I did have to order a 1/2 size up. I like the stability of the heel and the rubber soles really help you to plant firmly on lifts. Toe box is wider, which also helps with lifts. Handles all metcons very well. I do agree with a previous review that the running aspect is not ideal. The ball of foot area has virtually no padding, so I would not recommend for longer runs( over 400 meters) if you have neuromas, or other foot pain issues. Have not done rope climbs in them yet, but, I have no reason to think they will not perform well. After a month of hard work outs the shoe still looks new. Overall I am happy with the shoe and its performance.

I was a little sketched out buying this shoe, as it got mixed reviews from a lot of different people I respect when it comes to fitness. I'm a HIIT/Crossfit guy, so was a little worried how well they'd stand up to both the weightlifting AND running. Turns out, they do pretty awesome. First, these shoes make a MAJOR difference when it comes to lifting weights. Because they're so flat footed - very little arch support - it basically forces you to stay off your toes when lifting. My stability has changed an amazing amount in just the few weeks I've had this shoe. As for the running, it's definitely different and DOES NOT provide much support, notably for those with high arches like mine. That said, they don't make running uncomfortable until you get beyond the 3-mile mark. The toe box of the shoe is a touch big, and if you're doing much jumping and jiving, they slip. For that reason, you may want to go about a 1/2 size smaller than normal. Overall, a great shoe. Would recommend to anyone doing regular weights and cardio workouts.

This shoe considerably smaller than marked. I am sure it would be very comfortable if it fit my foot. My current shoes are size 13 and I am very comfortable, I bought these in size 14 because I saw reviews say they run small. Unfortunately, 14 is still too small and there is no size 15 so I will need to get some new shoes. Also, I bought the keen high arch support insoles because I saw that the reviews also said there is very little arch support and that is true, so buy some insoles.

My grandson absolutely loves these shoes! Fit and comfort are great!

Bought these for my son and he was thrilled he stated they fit well and made his friends jealous which makes me Super Dad!!! Thought they were a bit pricy but after comparison they are a lot cheaper then some retailers and plus ordering from Zappos is like ordering from family!!!

True to size, great heel support, feels super stable during squats. Good overall fit. Decent forefoot flexibility for jogging. Heavier than expected but tolerable for jogging. Expensive, but worth it.

Awesome shoe. My favorite shoe ever, so far. Comfortable, light, breathable and probably the best looking training shoe I've ever had (I got the blue/blue/white). Good stuff!

Great shoe for working out. Comfortable and stable. Compared to the Reebok Nano's, these are much better for my foot.

An extremely well constructed shoe, I have the Metcon 2 and love them. My Metcon 2's ran small so I ordered a full size up and they were great. Tried to do the same here and they were one size to big. Will order the correct size because they felt great.

Great shoes for lifting. Love the durability and style. Heel feels nice and snug, and wide toe box gives room to spread your toes for a nice grip. Amazing comfort, I actually wear them while running errands before/after the gym with zero comfort issues. Much better than the pervious shoes I was using, chucks.

Coming from using a running shoe for CrossFit, switching to these has been absolutely fantastic. Before, where my feet would be in noticable pain while working out, now with the Metcon, I don't notice them at all, which is how it should be. They fit as expected, are comfortable, and offer much more support and stability than my running shoes ever did. While maybe not ideal for long distance running, I have no issues at all doing 1-3 miles in these. Would highly recommend for anyone doing CrossFit.

Great shoe for crossfit. Heel is hard enough for the big lifts and they are perfect to crush any WOD. They also fit true to size. Highly recommended!

My 16 yr got it for his bday in blue and yellow. He loves it for going to the gym and lifting. Has a pair of Nike knits he loves for running but these are better when need more support

Metcon 3 is flatter, thinner, lighter than previous models. Toe box is nice and wide. Originally ordered a 9. They were a tad longer than previous versions. Interested to see how well they hold up.

I really like these shoes. Big improvement over the 1's and 2's. First thing I noticed was how the heel shape had changed to be more snug...which was a plus for me. They felt like they have a little more bounce in them than the two previous versions. They're also almost a full ounce lighter (in a size 14 anyway) than the 2's and a half ounce lighter than the ones. Yes, I really did measure them. I thought the toe would fall apart on toe to bar, but it hasn't even shown a scratch. Biggest negative I can see is that the heel clip is a lot softer than the 2's and feels rubberier. When coming down the wall on HSPU, you might notice it doesn't slide as easily as the 2's...but still far better than the 1's. Running is what it is in these. It's more comfortable, but not like running in the flyknit versions.

I got these for Crossfit. They fit true to size, but don't have much support when running short distances.
