I missed the "compact" wording in the description and, unfortunately not at all what I was expecting. The bag is very very small, and does not fit a normal size male body, nor does it hold more than a 13" laptop and maybe a pad of paper at best. I needed it for a trip but didn't see it meeting my needs for two weeks on the road, and I chose to take the old back pack I was replacing instead. This is best for a small child that does not have much to carry except for his/her lunch. Quality seemed good overall, just not really a backpack unless one has very little to carry.
