These are really comfortable and have great arch support. I have really high arches and almost always need to add an insert but I don't with these. And they're super cute.

Really comfortable. Lots of toe room. The whole shoe is pretty roomy; but, because of the strap, it doesn't slide around. It's like wearing a warm sandal.

I'm also delighted that Simple is back in business, and already own two pairs of the Sugar shoes! These "Mary Jane" shoes are cute & feminine, but also very uncomfortable. They're stiff and scratchy, with little to no cushioning or arch support; and they feel short and wide -- an odd fit. If you buy a half-size larger than your usual size, add a cushioned insole, and wear socks to ward off the scratchy canvas, they'll probably be fine, though! ;)

These shoes are comfortable until my feet swell from the heat--then the strap across the top has very little give to it. This also makes it a little hard to put on. Overall, I have found them to be comfortable but wish the strap were Velcro closed so I could adjust it as needed!

Cute, funky and comfortable! They go well with athletic wear, jeans and skirts. They feel less casual than sneakers and more polished than slides or flip flops. Stylish and funky - in a word, perfect! Love these shoes.

Woooot! Simple Shoes are back in business (I've missed them!) These are super cute kicks - slide on, cushy, not quite sneakers... count as work shoes in Cali.

The only reason I rated 4 stars instead of 5 is because the color of the "black stone wash" barely passes for "black" in my opinion; the color is more like a purple/grey with brown trim. The color is pretty; it's just not a classic black that would match more than this. The shoes fit perfectly right out of the box. No break in time at all for me which was a huge plus. Very comfortable footbed with good arch support. All the comfort of a sneaker with the cutesy touch of a mary jane. Welcome back, Simple Shoes! Let's see this style in some more color options; it's a winner!

Snapped these up when I saw Simple had come back. They seem well made and have a nice cushioned sole. I was afraid the Mary Jane style would look frumpy but they are cute. It might be better if the strap attached with velcro, the elastic might stretch out over time. Hoping to see more colors and more Simple styles. Great Zappos service, as usual.

These shoes are unbelievably comfortable. I wore them all day right out of the box and had no breaking-in period. My biggest complaint is the canvas fabric limits them to casual settings. As inexpensive shoes, some of the materials (fuzz on soles, elastic straps) are starting to show wear, but I plan to wear them until they fall off my feet - and then maybe buy another pair!

Really surprisingly comfortable, practically no break--in time. They don't do anything for my feet, looks-wise, but I don't need to look sexy 100% of the time. Good value, quality comfortable shoes.

I love these shoes! They fit my orthotic and had almost no break in time. I usually get blisters but none with these. I will be buying another color.

Very comfortable, but not a ton of arch support. I wore these new out of the box to walk 5+ miles per day 4 days in a row (Florida theme parks) with no blisters or sore feet.

These are comfy shoes that go with lots of outfits. I wanted something besides boots to wear with skinny jeans in the winter, and with the strap across the top, these somehow look less dorky than wearing socks with ballet flats. I feel spunky in them! They run a little large. The strap is not adjustable and they are a little loose around my narrow feet, but since I plan to keep wearing them with thick socks, it works. My only complaint is that I've been wearing them regularly for 2 weeks and they still smell strongly of rubber.

when I got these, I immediately noticed how large the white parts of the shoe are. i think in the picture it's not as noticeable because it's on the white background, but after putting them on they looked kind of awkward and nerdy. they also felt heavy. sending them back.

These have become my new favorite shoes to wear! Love them, true to size and SO comfortable!

These shoes are amazing! If you are looking for a cute, "simple," comfortable everyday shoe look no further. The price is amazing and they are excellent quality as usual. I love this color as it goes with pretty much everything. Also, they provide wonderful arch support. As some reviewers have said, size up a half size from what you may have previously worn in this brand. I used to wear a 7 in the satires, and I wear a 7 1/2 in these. If you're thinking about them, go for it!

These are cute lightweight flats. The elastic strap keeps the shoe in place.

Simple's maryjane is simple. Which I like. I can wear them w/ jeans or a skirt. The strap is snug but not uncomfortable.

Very cute! My feet are a little on the wide side so they are kind of hard to get on. Once on, they are very comfortable. Wish the strap was designed different á¹­o make them easier to get on and off. Besides that no complaints!

So happy to see Simple back in business. My old pair are several years old and are ready to retire. These shoes are very comfortable and just a little too wide. My heel slides out of the back a little but not in a problematic way. They are a perfect fall or winter shoe for Florida.

I like this item, but don't love it. It is moderately comfortable and can receive an orthotic insert. It is more gray/taupe than brown but works well as a neutral shoe. I tried on the keen canvas mary jane and it was soooo much more comfortable. However, this is half the cost so I was hoping to like it almost as well.

These are stiff shoes that felt scratchy. These really feel like they would bring up some heel blisters. It has been a while since I had a pair of Simple shoes, but these are not as comfortable as I remember. Styling is kind of meh.
