The mesh on these feels really cheap. I had a pair of rotation 77s in size 11 that fit well but 11 on these is pretty big. Arch was a bit weird as well. They look nice though.

I wanted to like these, but the adhesive used to attach the shoe to the footbed was visible all around, making them look very poorly made.

I was in the market for a casual gym shoe that would be cute but comfortable for walking, grocery shopping, etc. Unfortunately, there's something funky going on with the arch support. It's like there's a ridge all the way to the outside of the foot. They aren't comfortable for me at all. They also feel kind of unstable like I could rotate over the outside of my foot if I wasn't really paying attention. They're cute, but they're just not going to work for me.

I got suckered into buying this shoe based on the number of 5-star reviews. I don't get it! Very ordinary/basic shoe. I like a shoe with cushioning and arch support and this offers neither. I feel like this is only a slight step up from walking barefoot. Maybe the people who rated this as 5-stars have always bought cheap running shoes; however, I would steer clear of this shoe altogether and spend another $20-$30 on a higher end shoe by Under Armour, Adidas, Nike, etc.

I bought these shoes for the style based on the photos, but after wearing them, they don't have enough cushioning on the sole. However they are a decent casual shoe. I wouldn't recommend doing any running in them though. I probably wouldn't buy another pair.

This was the 10 or so pair of Onituka Tiger's I have bought. I'm 36 so I assume my feet have stopped growing, yet this pair didn't fit. They seem like they have gotten a little bit smaller. I love the style of these, but this variation in size will prevent me from ordering more online.

Great look, but not enough support for me. Must have bad arches.

The actual rubber sole is very narrow and so part of the foot just has the fabric under it rather than sole. Clearly some people don't mind this since there's so many positive reviews, but I thought this was uncomfortable. Also, it had a loud squeak on hard surfaces as if was a cheap flip flop at the pool.

I hated this shoe. It was really narrow, and could not breathe. I love long distance running and this shoe is so flat, and narrow, and compresses your foot. Worst shoe I ever had. Should stick to Nike, of Adidas, or at leas Asics shoes that look, and feel good.

I bought these shoes less than a year ago and they are already starting to fall apart. I love the shoes and I love the style, but I am really disappointed that they didn't even last a year.

These "unisex" shoes run very narrow in the toe box. The tongue fabric extends pretty far beyond the lace holes so it kept rubbing up against the tops of my feet. Cute but would only fit someone with very narrow feet and low in-step.

This is the second time this problem has happened to me with Ultimate 81's. Both times I didn't notice until it was too late. The left side insole sticks up (is too high) too much and causes discomfort in my left foot. I've had 4 pairs that were great and then two with this problem. I wish they'd have more consistency in their manufacturing but it seems they do not. Would be great if Zappos could test them but this might be asking too much since it's really upon Asics to do that.

Really cute color, but the toe box is very rounded and manly. Also, there is basically no padding in the foot bed, had to add in my own.

These sneakers squeak when you walk in them. Even when you touch the sole with your hand they make a squeaky noise. It’s very disappointing since they are otherwise very comfortable. Sadly, they're going back.

I don't like the fabric being used here. I love the ultimate 81 series, but these shoes don't make the cut. They pinch on the outside of the toes and there's a piece of fabric on the top inside the shoe that gets folded over and feels uncomfortable.

These are actually metalic looking. The black looks like metalic black denim and the grey is more of a silver.

These look nice but they don't have any cushioning in the soles. They fit pretty true to size, but are slightly narrow.

Liked the style, but the toe and upper area of the sole was not comfortable at all. If you look at the picture, you can see how the sole or rubber of the shoe is thick in the back but reduces to almost nothing in the toe area. My heels felt great but my toes felt like I was standing on concrete. Also the shoe felt a bit snug all-around.

Good looking and comfortable shoe, but the sole started to come off after just a week of use. Low quality, had to return.

These very attractive shoes were uncomfortable at first. The back (raised white part) rubbed and caused a blister. The mesh is rough and rubbed the top of my toes through socks. Finally after a few days of wear they became reasonably comfortable. Then just a month or two into wearing them, they started ripping at the seams near the big toes where the mesh is. I have tried a lot of shoe brands and by far have been most unsatisfied with these in terms of quality. Really cute shoes to look at, but won't bother with them again.

Looks great, but as far as comfort and support, not good. I did not purchase these shoes to run or exercise in, just for casual wear. The soles are firm, no cushion - so after awhile, it felt like I was standing in my bare feet on concrete. My heels especially were killing me the next day. Great looking shoes, just not comfortable for everyday or all day wear.

See how black the navy ones looks on your screen and that's how black and not navy these shoes are in person. And super uncomfortable as they really dig into your heel.

I ordered these because I've been well satisfied with Asics running shoes, but wanted something black to wear with jeans, etc. I am very disappointed; the quality is substandard, the shoes are not comfortable, and they won't accommodate an orthotic. I'm sending them back.

Ultimate 81 used to be my favorite style sneaker, but the last 2 pairs I have bought are so uncomfortable, they are almost unwearable. I am a solid size 10 in these, always have been, first 3 pairs were amazing. Then I bought 2 new pairs about a year ago, and they fit so poorly my feet hurt for days after wearing them.

I really wanted to like these shoes because I think they\'re very stylish, but the back of the shoes kept kept rubbing my Achilles\' heel. I tried tying the shoelaces lower and more loosely, but that didn\'t help. I thought they would eventually break in, but I gave up after three months.
