I have never been able to buy a normal high calf boot. This one looks fantastic and fits perfectly. The circumference is about 16", so if your calf is bigger, it won't fit, maybe up to 1/2 inch bigger would still fit. Normal boots are about 13.5-15. The foot bed has a decent arch support, and enough padding for me. I wear clogs and birkenstock sandals a lot which have very firm footbeds, so I find the amount of padding totally sufficient. The leather is beautiful and I find them to be usable with dresses, skirts or pants. Exactly what I wanted. Nice rubber non-slip sole as well.

These boots fit very well, they are attractive and the gussetting allows jrpeans to be easily tucked in, love them!

They are the first tall shaft boots I've ever been able to wear. The shafts were slightly tight (I work out and have really pronounced calves), but I took it to a cobbler and had them stretch them a bit so I didn't have to break them in. Then it was perfect. It looks great. It's a little more casual than a high heeled boot, but they work for me. I love them!

I love Born. These boot are torrential, however. I don't know where they get their ideas of what wide calf means. I barely got them zipped around my ankle and couldn't get the zipper around my calf. I'm a pretty standard wide calf. Returning.

They were too tight in ankle area and had to return.

I returned these...I have 16.5 inch calves and they fit great there, but they were a little tight in the ankle area. Too narrow overall. And the leather felt like cardboard. Not rich leather or soft at all. Way too expensive to look and feel cheap. I returned for a Naturalizer wide calf boot, which is perfect.
