I bought these boots about six months around they are still more comfortable then a keen. I will order another pair this fall. I was toying with the idea of buying a (NIKE) but that ship has sailed! I will always shop Zappos . Jake By the way I am 73 and walk 10 -12 miles a week. I need comfortable hiking boots. Thanks again.

My husband just told me the other day, "I love my Danner boots" meaning these. He hunts and fishes and works outside and they are extremely comfortable for his tender man-feet. In fact, I have caught him wearing them with shorts, which is not really cool looking but that's how much he loves them so I look the other way. For reference, he also has flat arches and borderline narrow feet and can wear these all day.

I normally wear a 9.5. Many people indicated that these run large and to order a half size lower. I totally disagree. While the 9 fits snug, I would have been fine in a 9.5. So that being said I would say they are true to size. I ordered a 9 and I got a 9. They look fantastic! The support is great. I have had them on all day for 3 days now. (Hoping to break them in and get them to loosen up.) Going hunting this weekend and can't wait to take them out in the woods. They are definitely warm so I can already tell these will not be worn in TX from May - Oct. I'll just have to find another pair of Danners for that half of the year!

I spend a lot of time looking for a lightweight hiking boot that would handle the abuse they see in the agriculture industry. I got sucked in by a clearance sale for another brand and ended up returning them within 3 weeks due to the sole falling apart. These are far and away the best boot I've tried on for the price, feel and weight. They are comfortable from day one and seem to be better constructed than the many others I've gone through at prices upwards of 350 dollars a pair. I was reluctant to go back to Danner after a pair of Quarry's that I purchased lasted less than a year before the interior tore out, the stitching around the sole crumbled and the boot, quite literally, fell apart. I have a different pair of Danner's that are around 12-14 years old that are still in decent shape other than the inside lining, so I figured I would give them another shot. I'm glad I did. They have held up well throughout the snowy winter and I'm hoping the same goes for another field season. Also, I like how these boots don't have a huge toe box for a larger size. The extended laces make things look a lot better on a longer foot. These are the Rich Brown with a red pair of laces I took from the boots I returned to another store.

I have a wide EE foot and was uncertain when I first put them on. After a day of wearing a med-thick wool sock in prep for a vacation to Banff, Canada I had a blister on my little toe. BUT after switching to a thin REI wool line sock they broke in nicely and we actually much warmer than I ever expected. I bought a cold weather Sorel and used those twice because these Danners were my goto boot in single digit Canada weather. We took gondola to the top of the mountain in Banff and I decided to hike down 2,300' 3.5 miles and they were champs. They kept me warm with the wool liner sock and the tread was excellent down the snow packed switchbacks. I also used them tubing - again in single digit weather. I was worried at first but now I truly love them. There on my feet now in rainy cool Los Angeles. And... there really good looking!

I have been wanting these beauties for a while now and finally pulled the trigger when I found out about a couple of work trips this summer (field work in the mountains of Nevada) so I decided it would be a good time to invest. I am a women’s size 10 and ordered a men’s 8.5. The fit is perfect, not too wide. I have been wearing them to walk the dog every day to break them in before I leave and a week later they are feeling really good- super comfortable, flexible and so pretty. They looks great with jeans, shorts and stretchy pants. These guys are going to last forever- great product!

Perfect boot for cold but not too freezing temps. Good looking to boot (ba dum bump), the red laces really add to the look!

great looking show but I had difficulty finding the right size. My usual size felt tighter than anything I've put on my feet in years, so then I figured I'd go a full size up and that was considerably larger...so then halfway is where I ended up. Still shocked at how narrow and small my natural size was.

Fit great right out of the box. Have owned for two months. Just hiked 20 miles this weekend in the rain and my feet were bone dry. I worry when they say waterproof, but these boots were the real deal. Can't wait to see how well they fit once they are thoroughly broken in. Would highly recommend so far.

Great boots straight out of the box. Look great with excellent support. I followed many of the other reviews and sized down 1/2 a size. They fit perfectly!

These went straight from their shoe box to a fews days of rough hiking in Sedona, AZ without issue. No break-in period, no hotspots, no blisters. They're so comfortable and light they feel like a comfortable pair of sneakers, but yet still feel very protective for all the rough miles of rocky trails we did. Definitely recommend. I ended up going a 1/2 size down because the first pair felt a little too big and it turned out to be right decision for me.

Love the look and very light, great grip look forward to putting them through the paces once the warm weather is over.

FELT LIKE MY OLD SHOES I'D HAD FOREVER. ORDERED ANOTHER PAIR I LIKED THEM SO MUCH. WIFE SAID THEY LOOK TERRIFIC. EXTREMELY COMFORTABLE. NOW I HAVE THREE PAIRS INSTEAD OF ONE. HARD TO FIND, HAD TO CALL DANNER TO FIND ZAPPOS STORE WITH THEM AVAILABLE. BOUGHT HALF SIZE LARGER TO ACCOMMODATE THICK SOCKS.

I returned to get wide-size options .of similar model It's durable, and comfortable on the city walks and out-of-city hikes in shoulder season. (NOT for summer obviously)

Haven’t yet taken on a hike, but walking around the house in the for a few hours and they feel super comfortable. And style is perfect for mountain hiking boot.

Very comfortable, classic style, hiking boots. Suggest buying 1/2 size bigger if you like somewhat thicker socks. I had bought and returned a less comfortable pair of boots before this one. Perfect for day hikes in non extreme terrain. Excellent ankle support. Absolutely worth the money in case you are wondering if less expensive option may be better.

I’m a women’s size 10-10.5 - bought the brown men’s size 8.5 and the fit great. Awesome boot - looks good and feels like a sneakers with support and transaction for snowy/icy trail conditions. Love them!

These Danner Mountain 600 4.5" boots are the most comfortable boot (or even as a shoe) that I have ever worn. Right from the start they fit perfectly, so comfortable. The soles have excellent grip. The flat running shoe type of sole is sure footed on any terrain. I would highly recommend these boots.

The most comfortable boot I have ever owned. Zero break-in. After wearing for a full day, not a complaint at all. Read some reviews which stated to go half size smaller; I fonud this not to be the case. I ordered my size (13) and they fit perfect. Great service and delivery from Zappos. I have never had Danner boots. I have had other boots. These are wonderful! They have great support. They also are as comfortable as my Brooks sneakers! I was initially concerned regarding the reviews about sizes running big. They fit my 11.5 M foot perfectly. I decided to use the size estimator that Zappos uses. It guessed my sizing in this boot perfectly.
