Finally. A backpack I can fall—and stay—in love with. Not only is this pack super cute, compact, and really comfortable, it also fits everything I need for my daily commute: my work laptop, which claims it’s 15 inches but rarely fits into a 15-inch slot; my oversized work headset, for calling into all those work meetings; lunch and some snacks; an umbrella just in case; my wallet, iPhone, and keys; an assortment of other daily essentials, like chapstick and hand lotion; a book; and a light for when I’m walking after dark. Most other compact packs leave very little room for, umm, actually carrying stuff but this one doesn’t do that at all. Cherries on top: the key ring, the built-in organizer in the front, and the color (I got it in the ochre, which is absolutely beautiful). This pack is well priced and likely to be my commuter companion for many years to come. Two very enthusiastic thumbs up.

I was looking for a backpack to use for school and work. I like the material used on the outside. It's not that slippery nylon material that most backpacks have. Very matted color but I think with it being black, dust and dirt might show up easily. The felt pocket at the top of the bag is convenient for sunglasses, but I don't carry sunglasses so I put my keys and a snack in there. I'm 5 feet tall and found that this bag was the perfect size for my small self, but not perfect for carrying big books since books don't care how small you are so I needed a bigger bag. I was able to fit one or two large books (test prep books 500+ pages) but then I lose use of the side pockets so I couldn't fit my 32oz hydroflask, but I could fit an umbrella (the retractable kind, not the long ones). I decided to return it because it was just not big enough for my needs. I think if you just want a bag for light travel this would be good. I can see myself fitting a few outfits and toiletries and going on a trip. A small annoyance I found with the bag was that it didn't seem to be good at sitting up. I suppose a lot of bags are like that but it's been a while since I've gotten a backpack so I thought it should have sat up better. It's front heavy and the front compartment doesn't come all the way down to the bottom of the back compartment so it always rocks forward. Even when I would lean it against a wall it still had to slide down a bit before settling. If I wanted the front to not be against the wall it would have to lean at a fairly shallow angle before I could get it to stay. I bought a few other bags at the same time and they all seem to be like that except this bag felt like it was especially bad.

Very nice backpack! I needed something on the smaller side for a trip to Europe and this backpack is perfect. It's often hard to find cute backpacks that actually have functional pockets--glad to say that this one has many! Watching the Zapoos video was really helpful for seeing the various pockets and details--well done! I'm very excited to take it on my trip in a few weeks.

This is a great little backpack. Very nice quality, good compartments, and not too big for everyday use. The style is classic and understated and there aren't a lot of extra straps and buckles, making this bag perfect for the office or daily carry-all. If you have tons of books, or need to pack enough for a weekend away, you might want a larger bag, although this backpack holds more than you would think.

Lots of low-key pockets in this backpack. Quality construction. Bought it here to avoid counterfeit product.

I received this in the sand color and have been using it about a week. I have quite a few backpacks but this is definitely a favorite. It is the right size for my 5'2", 115lbs. It is light weight (well, empty). The multiple zippered pockets are a definite plus. My lap top slides easily into the back pocket area. I know backpacks are not supposed to be "cool" but this is definitely going to be my bag in Paris.

Love LOVE this bag!! My 2nd Fjallraven purchase. This is the perfect size little bag for everyday use and I love that it has lots of different organization features. And unlike the Kanken bag, this bag actually has usable water bottle pockets on the sides!! Super happy with this purchase.

This was a perfect size to use as a simple diaper bag. I usually don’t like to carry a lot of stuff and this book bag has plenty of pockets to store things. Although I wished the bag was flat instead of curved because when I put it down on a flat surface, the bag sort of tips over. Overall, nice bag!

This is a really nice bag! Alas it's too long for my short-waisted torso (about 15" back length). Should've looked at the dimensions. The bottom of this hits the top of my pelvis. Will try other, shorter Fjallraven bags, as they seem simple yet very functional and well made.

This is a great backpack for people with smaller frames. I am 5' and often most backpack straps are uncomfortable for my shoulders as they slip down and require me to always have my arms up to keep them from slipping. The straps on the Fjällräven Raven 20L are padded but not bulky -- though I did take a star for comfort due to the fabric being a little rough if you have sensitive skin and wear a tank top. I use it for hiking and it fits a 2L water bladder and the side pockets are still convenient for an additional 1L Nalgene bottle. There are many great pockets and compartments for small electronics like cellphones and tablets. Overall, this is a great choice if you are looking for a backpack to carry a lot of smaller items. The many pockets will help keep you organized.

I love this backpack. I have been having pains in my neck and back, so I decided to change from a purse to a backpack for commuting to work. My purse had a lot of useful pockets, so I was looking for the same thing in a backpack, and this didn't disappoint. I also like the simple styling, which is appropriate for the workplace.

Alright, this is a great backpack, and I like it very much, but I kept it despite two big flaws, in my opinion. Well, actually, I bought it for me and decided to give it to my 5yo daughter (Plum color) to use for school but I plan to sneak it for myself if I need a backpack in a pinch. I ended up buying my son one also in the navy color (really a classic shade, they did well here) since it fits a standard folder a few books and has tons of pockets for all the things kids like to stow away. Don’t plan to use this backpack as your backpack for high school or college, since I doubt it would fit a binder or textbooks without a major hassle. It does fit my 15” MacBook Pro (the slim model) well so no qualms about that. But let’s get to the negatives here. - the straps. The straps! What is going on here? The straps are wide and bulky. This is not a hiking pack, there are no waist stabilizers and I’m not sure why the straps are so obnoxious, and to me.. a bit cumbersome and uncomfortable. You know, I kept the backpack anyway so it might not be a problem to you. But the material under the straps is a rough mesh and I could imagine if you wore this pack over a tank top it would be a bit uncomfortable. - when you set this backpack down, no matter what is in it and how the weight is distributed, it falls over. This is absurdly obnoxious and annoying on a daily basis. Expect to hang this backpack or lay it flat somewhere, cause holy hell. The front pockets’ design causes this, since they placed it higher for a more compact and shapely look but I’d personally rather a pack that didn’t do this. And ultimately why I gave this pack to my kids and continued my search for something else. What’s to love? Simple colors, limited branding, pockets and a fabric that feels almost natural. Waterproofing, small, able to be used in different situations. There’s a lot to love, but there are some flaws here, for sure.

This bag is exactly what I was looking for. It feels very well made and is comfortable to wear. I am a 5'5" woman and it is sized perfectly for me and yet the bag magically fits everything I need into it. I routinely carry a 15" laptop, power cord, large travel mug, umbrella, cardigan, and binder with room to spare. I have yet to run out of room while using this bag.

Perfect size for petite framed person. I've been using it every day for the last 3 years and it's still going strong. Lots of smart compartments.

Love this backpack! Bought this for work and I'm able to fit two thin laptops in the sleeve. All of the pockets, especially the top pocket really enhance the utility of this backpack. Would definitely recommend.

Perfect size for me. I'm 5'2" and 115 pounds and most backpacks overwhelm me. This one holds my lunch and my thermos and all my daily sundries. The bag tips over when set on the floor, but other than that, it's well designed. Has one large zippered space (front of bag), one tiny zippered pouch (top of bag) and two small zippered pouches accessible from each of the two main compartments. There are various slots for pens and things. The two side pouches don't expand, so if the bag is full, you can't really use them. I usually carry around a tablet and there's also a space for that. I got this in the plum color and it's a dark raspberry - not too pink, not too red, not too bright, too dull. I think it's a good color that won't show dirt. I also ordered it in redwood and it was a bright (bright!!!) red, which unfortunately did not go with my olive colored coat. The shoulder straps are comfortable. This is a great bag for daily use and for travel.

Very happy with this backpack. I am short, and I wanted a pack that was smaller without sacrificing how much stuff I could carry. I can say it has plenty of pockets and can accommodate the contents of a purse and business tote combined, with room for a pair of shoes and a 15" laptop. This is my third Fjallraven bag but my new favorite. I had two totes before I got this backpack and they were (are) great, but this bag beats them in how much it can hold and keep organized.

I am in love with this backpack! I got it in plum, which is far more pink in person then in the pictures. I am obsessed with the color and with all the pockets that make school organization a breeze. Get this and you will not be disappointed!

This backpack is AWESOOOOOMME. 15" macbook pro fit PERFECTLY! And STILL had room in the sidepockets to stow drinks. Many little pockets and compartments to keep your things organized, shoulder straps are padded and comfy, and it's cute! Pulls tons of compliments all day! What's not to like: maybe your current backpack. Order this one now!

Bought this backpack for my husband for Christmas. He loves it. It's super lightweight, got a very chic slim look, yet can carries so much stuff but bulky looking at all. It's got a lot of useful pockets, and even a little pouch on the top for your earbuds or car key. He uses it daily to commute to work, taking public transportation, so having his hands-free is very convenient.

Perfect backpack. Large enough to fit everything I need for school but small enough to maintain a stylish silhouette. Also, has a lined sunglasses/glasses pouch at the top which is genius. I've come to expect the best from this brand and this product doesn't disappoint!
