These boots were by far my best shoe investment. Spending a over a year in the Middle East walking in rocks daily, long days in full kit (50lbs +) not including rucks these boots shone through and through. They can get hot, but summer in the desert it really doesn't matter what you wear. They were warm enough for high altitude conditions, and are a design and color that was passable in multi-cam, and everyday use in normal attire.
Had one issue where the outer toe black portion of the sole came off but super glue saved the day.
Wish there was a place to load pictures.

Have worn Hoka's running shoes for walking for three/four years. Needed hiking boots for 3 night AT trip... my son recommended these. Good call! Comfortable right out of the box... nary a blister over for days. I am 66 and these were perfect for an old man!

Felt good the first time I put these on. After a few times wearinging these, they feel great. I ordered a second pair from a web store.

I used this product in a camping trip. For the woodland and prairie hikes, it was great. It would probably get its test on a rocky terrain.

I use for everyday wear. I had a crushed heel that is very hard to find a shoe that fits and is comfortable with support that I get with these shoes.

I purchased my first pair of Hoka shoes at the beginning of the summer. I loved them but wanted a more substantial version to wear in the New England winters. So I purchased these. I love them. So far I've worn them walking my dog in dry weather, wet weather, in hockey rinks, and even to work (they work well with work casual) and my feet have remained comfortable, supported, dry, and warm.

I wear this boot daily. I live up north and used these boots all last winter and they were excellent in snow. Keep my feet warm and dry in hiking and daily usage. We seldom fall below 0 degrees, and the boots are warm enough with good socks..

The rocker format has allowed me to walk pain free for the first time in 2 years. The medium widths were too snug for me with normal thickness sport socks the extra wides are much more comfortable in the arch area.

Second pair and won't be the last. Cost a little more than I am used to paying but well worth it. Great for my 17 hour shifts and being on my feet the whole time.

These are the lightest weight, most supportive, most versatile shoe I've ever owned period! Over the past year, I have used them snowshoeing and day hiking with light to moderate loads. I use them at the gym when doing heavy squats (very stable). I work in a warehouse and likely walk 6 to 8 miles a day, on cement, between 2 warehouse buildings. I walk with my wife as she trains for her annual 60 miles in 3 day breast cancer walk/fundraiser. Last weekend we did 18 on Saturday and 14 on Sunday. The tread is shot after a year of almost daily use, but I am amazed at how well they've held up. It is time for a new pair, and I wouldn't even consider buying anything other than the Tor Tech.

I have owned Hoka brand running shoes for several years and when we were planning a hike to Machu Picchu, I turned to Hoka for hiking boots. I ordered these boots and wore them once before hitting the 26 mile Inca Trail. The boots were comfortable right out of the box with no break in time. The rest of my hiking group in other brands had issues with blisters and toe nails, but I had none of these problems with my Hokas. I hiked on dirt, gravel, uneven rock, rock stairs, mudd, wet conditions, and snow, and my boots had plenty of grip and ankle support. We were heavily rained on during day one of the hike, and my feet stayed dry. The Inca trail put these boots through it all and I couldn't find any weak point in them. Buy these boots if you hike or just want a solid pair of daily boots you won't be disappointed. Great job Hoka on a great design and product. You've got a customer for life.

my left foot was hurting .as soon as i wore these my foot was fine. i wanted a wide size but unavailable. too tight on my right front foot .i think your shoes push up on my arch and support it where other boots have a flatter foot bed. thanks ,its nice to relieve pain. the lacing system is ok but a little hard to tighten the upper laces. love the traction from the soles.

After 6 months of trying different footwear, Nike to Northface, I knew I had to keep searching. This brand was recommended by a P.A. who had had same nasty plantar fasciaitis that i was dealing with. From the moment I slipped my feet into these I knew id FINALLY found promising relief. 30 days in to my purchase and my pain is gone. I dont review items that i purchase normally, but Im so grateful for the relief that I hope this helps someone else decide. I wear a 10.5 in Nike and Reebok and purchased a 10.5 Hoka and it feels identical but more sturdy and supportive.

Best hiking boots I've ever owned. I have one pair at home, and a second at a vacation home. They are light and comfortable, but still give plenty of support. I've worn them on both flat, even terrain, as well as rugged, uneven surfaces. Haven't worn them in wet conditions, so I can't rate them on water-resistance.

I use these Tor Tech Mid's boots for hiking in the Rockies, including 14'ers. They are the best hiking boot I've ever used. Recommend by an orthopedic doctor to alleviate Plantar Fasciitis. Have since purchased five different models of Hoka shoes and love them all ... except, recently purchased the low-cut version with Vibrum soles. These harder/stiffer soles ruin the Hoka feeling. Just hope Hoka does 'not' switch the Tor Tech Mid's to Vibrum soles. Don't mess with success !!
