I prefer the old version. The new version of this boot looks cheap. I do not like the trim and sole.

Better material was used years ago. Michael Jordan shoes are in the same space. Save money with cheaper material and products look the same but not as durable.

I generally buy the boots vrs the hiker, but these looked nice so I bought them. Unfortunately they were a little narrow and tight around the toe. I returned them by mail and 3 wks later still waiting for my refund. Hopefully that happens before years end and I'll probably repurchase the boot at a half size larger.

So I love timberland boots amd products in general. However I bought a pair of these and they were my go to boots especially for long days in my feet ni matter the weather. Had them for a long time as I have other timberland boots and never had any issues I did not cause, mostly staining and scuffing. All of a sudden a few months ago I went to put them on and the back heel seemed to have blown out almost seeming to disintegrate over night. Asked a cousin and he said the same thing happen to him with the same boot. Never happen with the hundreds of timberland boots I have probably owned. Is this normal?

Extremely dissapointed because needed my boots for outfit for this thanksgiving to match with my wife and son for his first thanksgiving. The color came " nothing " like picture for nubuck field boot. I own many field boots pairs and this boot came like a dark color almost Grey. Not Gold and like the nubuck color in picture. It wasn't that they sent wrong boot either like grey pair.

The soles will disintegrate in 2 years. This has been a defect for decades and they have never addressed it! Ive had at least 5 pairs of the field boot over the years

I have owned many Timberland boots and shoes. However, I would like to know the country of manufacture BEFORE I buy another.

I received these as a gift about a year and a half ago. I've worn them about 4 times and kept them in my closet, in the original box with the paper around them. Today, on the fifth wear, my sole came apart from the base of the shoe. The heel began tearing first and got holes. Then while walking, I noticed that they were coming unglued in the front as well. Timberland will not honor my request to return these for a refund or credit because they are over a year past the purchase date regardless of it being their authentic product with a receipt. This policy should be changed to a lifetime warranty, unless Timberland KNOWS they are selling a defective product. Nike boots > Timberlands.

I love the look if these shoes but they didn't feel comfortable on me. I'm sending them back. I would not recommend this style to anyone. I was really disappointed with these shoes.

I purchased the men's waterproof field boot some time ago to add to my collection. At first, I loved these boots. They were rugged and fit nicely. Love soon turned to hate when I put them on a few days ago only to notice that the sole and heal were soft, sticky and appeared to be liquefying. Of course, I only only noticed the serious breakdown of this boot after putting them on, taking a few steps and getting black goo on my tan carpet. I was shocked and dismayed by this. You guys have been making boots for a long time. The last thing I expected was for this product to breakdown like this.

I bought these boots for my husband maybe a yr and a half ago and the sole fell off while we were shopping today. This was his second time wearing them. I called customer service and she told ne I needed a receipt to be able to process a claim....who knows where that is. And my thing is if it is a defect replace the shoe as a customer courtesy.
I saw another customer had the same complaint and my husband's brown and green ones did the same. Definitely will not buy them again especially since timberland doesn't stand behind their products

I've been buying and wearing Timbs for over 30 years, but after this experience with the Field Boot, I'm not sure I'll ever purchase Timbs ever again.
The second time I wore these boots, the sole completely disintegrated while I was out. Pieces of the sole started breaking apart as I stepped out of my car, leaving me embarrassed - to add, I was an hour away from home and I had to find a department store just to buy another pair of shoes because the boots were unusable. By the time I walked into a store to buy replacement shoes I had no outsoles left - it looked like I was wearing wrestling shoes. Literally ruined my lunch date.
This is not the quality I've come to expect from Timberland. I've always trusted this brand for its durability, but this experience has completely shattered my confidence in their products.
Save your money and avoid this boot at all costs. If this is what Timberland calls "quality" now, they've lost a lifelong customer.

Very uncomfortable around the ankles. The inside fabric produces pressure points that are very painful. I have been wearing them for a few days trying to break them in, however they are not getting less painful. Can't return them because they are used.

I kept these shoes in the box from the day I received them.the shoes looked like new no scratches or scuffs.wore them very sparingly as I usually have at least 40 pairs of shoes.after two years I was walking down the street and the soles completely disintegrated.sent them back and was told that it was usual wear and tear.how can one shoe have a almost new looking sole while the other completely falls apart be considered usual wear and tear.stay away from these.

This was the most disappointing boot I have ever owned. The heel of the boots disintegrated after 2 years and the Company didn't stand by this defective product.

The soles start disintegrating after about 4 years. They just fall apart. Because of this I can't give these a 5 star rating. It starts out them getting "stickey" then they start leaving black everywhere and then the sole just disintegrates. I hope Timberland will look into this matter. Timberline #13338

This was a return and the boots sent to me to replace the damaged return arrived in poor condition as well. The boots had scuff and scrape marks. The boots had toe creases like they were not new . The suede on both toe sections were not new and appeared used. Very upset and I want my full payment back. Timberland sent worse boots than the actual return damaged originals. I'm done with Timberland.
