Perfect is true and perfect. I wear a size 10 USA, so the size 9 British was spot on). The shoes are very comfortable and no break in required for me. The lined interior of the shoes are a nice touch. The shoe laces suck- they are flimsy.

These were for my husband, who likes a relatively heavy & sturdy shoe, which these are. Once we got the right sizing system (UK, US...) the fit was excellent. He husband said that Dr. Martens take a while to break in, but once you do that they're among the most comfortable shoes he's owned & that they ten to wear well. He has had these about 2 weeks & they're now almost broken in. We hope they'll wear as well as they have in the past.

Very comfortable.

These are so awesome. I had a pair of Dr Martens in middle school that made me feel super cool, and these do the same. I like wearing them with pants and denim dresses. I have wide feet and these fit my toes very comfortably, actually having room for me to wiggle them quite a lot. The shoes were pretty stiff when I got them and seem to take some breaking in. I'm going to waterproof them and I'll be all set for rainy season!

The boot runs big. It felt too stiff and even with thick socks, it was much too big. I followed the size chart and ordered these in my size, but they run very big. Even though these were shown in women's boots, they are not really what I was looking for. I am returning these boots.

They are a little weird in the fit. Wide In the toe. They put the label right where your upper shin bends and it is a tad uncomfortable. They look great so I am willing to put up with a bit of discomfort. Hoping they will break in

I have two different size feet, one shoe fit perfect ,one a little big. But all in all if I wear them with thick socks they feel pretty good. Could use some arch support.

I love these. The round toe is so cute. Very stylish!

Decent look and comfort. Boots were stiff at first, gave them a few days, much better. I don't use the very top loop as it's too restrictive to movement for me, plus they are easier to take off later. All in all - recommend!

Just a few notes on these shoes: they run larger than most other shoe brands (by at least half a size). What is more, they are significantly wider than your average shoe (so if you, like me, have been used to compensating for narrow shoes by buying larger shoe sizes in general, you may be surprised by needing to drop an entire shoe size to find your true fit). The shoes look fine. You might earn a little street cred for bringing back "Doc Martens" if your social circle is impressed by trite stuff. The construction of the sole is pretty nice (very pleased with that portion of the shoe). The upper leather part of the shoes is very simple, however, and I have had to experiment with the tightness of lacing in order to avoid pinching in certain places (yes, that's as annoying as it sounds, but I'm hoping they'll break in more over the coming weeks). Overall, these aren't expensive shoes. The value is pretty good so even if you're uncertain, I would probably recommend taking the dive.

So unfortunate that this company doesn't seem to make women's size shoes and must think uni-sex is just fine. I loved the look of these but ordered my usual size 42 and they were just too wide, allover. Long enough, but heel slippage is impossible to fix.

I am so sad.... I LOVE these and I am pretty much a typical size 10. I have never returned a shoe for size before and these are the same size as my other docs but they are just to big. I would order the next size down to compare but they don't have it. Sadly they have to go back but I love them, I wish they fit

Size US mens 11 ( which if you look at the size chart is an 11 1/2) were too big. US mens size 10 (which are actually 9.5 according to the size chart) are too small. You need 1/2 sizes in the UK Measurement a 10 1/2 is actually the US mens 11. You need something in between. The conversion is not accurate.
