Jacket is great; thin, but warm. I don't like bulky jackets, so I love this one. Tried other Columbia and NF tri-climate jackets and were too puffy! Wore this one in snow storm while walking dog; heavy snowfall and 20 degree weather with only t-shirt under and was warm and dry. Arms not as insulated as chest, but still excellent. Hood is great to cut wind as well. I highly recommend if you have the money to spend on versatile jacket.

I bought this jacket to use skiing. It is a great jacket to just wear the shell and layer for warm spring days (Recently skied in both spring conditions and almost blizzard conditions)
With the Thermoball insert jacket it is very warm. I also wore the inside Thermoball jacket it is perfect for wearing to dinner or around town. I own three Thermoball jackets and vest.

The fit and finish of the outer shell is a dressier look so works well wearing to office. Warm. True to size. Getting too warm to wear with lining now but outer shell is good in the wind. I assume it will be good with the spring rains lloming. Glad I bought it.

Runs a bit large- I'm usually a medium but small is a perfect fit. Perfect otherwise. Plenty comfortable for early spring in MI (down to 20 degrees F or so).

My son walks home and needed a jacket that would keep him warm and dry (we live in Kirkland, WA).
This jacket is light and it works really well. He has a big backpack coming back from school. It helps that the jacket can be used in many different conditions.

Great jacket! It is medium weight for cold, but probably not extreme cold temperatures. Fits perfect and is versatile with the three ways it can be worn. Have not needed the waterproof feature to this point, but I'm sure it will work well as my other Noth Face jackets have in the rain and snow.

I bought this coat about two years ago and I love it. It is very versatile. Even with the liner in, it has a light feel. It will not by itself keep you warm in sub-zero temperatures. However, the coat is light and roomy enough that you can wear extra layers underneath without it feeling uncomfortable. The outer layer is windproof and water proof, so it is good in the rain or on a cold and windy day. I have worn it a few times for skydiving when it was extremely cold at altitude. Importantly, it feels roomy and light and does not restrict range of motion. It also packs fairly small into a backpack and makes a great pillow on a long flight.

Bought it for my husband who is always hot and doesn't wear anything too bulky in the winter. This jacket is light but warm as it has 2 layers. He's very happy with it and recommends it.

After moving to Minneapolis in the winter-time, I did my research to find a versatile jacket that could keep me warm and help against the wind. After landing upon the Thermoball Triclimate jacket, I have used it on multiple occasions, venturing out onto a frozen lake and also walking about town during a snowstorm. I cannot recommend this jacket enough; and the price was half of what I was looking at for other brands.

Not an exaggeration, this was one of my better purchases in my lifetime. I needed a coat that wasn't bulky, lightweight, windproof (or at least highly resistant), waterproof (again, at least highly resistant), warm enough for temperatures 0 to 30°F (-18 to 0°C), but wearable and comfortable in temperatures 30 to 40°F (-1 to 5°C), had a hood, and was good quality. The 3-in-1 checked all of those boxes. Surprisingly, it was warm enough for me for temperatures and wind chills as low as -15°F (-26°C) during our several extremely cold snaps this winter in the Northeastern (US) Corridor and while traveling in Iceland in mid-January. In the coldest, windiest conditions, I was perfectly snug wearing a thin thermal shirt, thin fleece, and this coat. It's also great for cold, rainy weather. Extra bonus: it's stylish enough to wear at home in the city and it doesn't look like I just stepped off the slopes. I own other TNF, Patagonia, Marmot, and LL Bean coats, and I can't recommend this particular coat enough!

Couldn't be happier. This jacket fits great, it's warm, it's lightweight and looks fantastic! I got the Urban Navy Heather, it's a great color. I also like the fact that the outer fabric is soft and very flexible. It doesn't get crinkly or noisy when it gets cold! It works great for skiing and will be great for day hikes and even just around town. If they still had black in stock I would probably order a second one just to have a couple of different colors! GREAT JACKET!

My husband runs every Saturday morning and 2 weeks ago we experienced some snow. He needed some warm but comfortable for running. This is a great value and quality jacket.

Received this gift from my daughter and it is a fully functional jacket. I previously had a Columbia and wanted to find something closely related to it and this is the perfect gift. Nice quality jacket.

This is a very good jacket. The outer shell is great as a stand alone windbreaker/rainjacket and the inner jacketis extremly warm. Together it's a perfect winter jacket. I'm planning on taking it to Iceland and am not worried that it won't holdup while hiking. Well worth the price. Also, the falcon brown color is awesome, it's my favorite brown/tan I've seen.

The first time I used this product was during a ski trip.
I wanted something that can be layered and multi use. I took off the outer layer to go to a local pub and was very appealing to some ladies at the bar. When I got to the ski resort I put the outer lay back on in a flash and it withstood all of my failed attempts of snowboarding. I must have fell at least 30 times that day and not one scratch, tear or sign of wear formed on the jacket. The jacket is very high quality and fashionable and I cannot wait to take it on my next outdoor or indoor adventure.

My last Marmot 700 fil was too bulky! This coat is plenty warm for our 0 degree days here in the Midwest without making me feel like the marshmellow man.

A perfect jacket that I have choices on how I can wear it. Really cold, wet, and windy wear it complete. Not to cold, windy or wet just wear the very comfortable inner jacket.
