I enjoy Clarks footwear, I've been wearing them on and off for 13 years or so. I've wanted to try the Wallabees for a while but always thought the footbed looked too thick and wonky. Clarks used to make Wallabee Runs that looked quite similar to these, but they rarely released them and only in limited numbers. Fall '16 came around and here we are, except with a new name, Wallabee Step. Knowing Clarks legit seem to "last forever," I decided to spend the $125. I wasn't disappointed. They look very dapper straight out of the box, and looked like they'd be nice office upgrades over my 2.5 year old Olukais. They fit like all other Clarks, true to size (for "dress shoes"), and enough width and length. They're leather, so even if they seem to be a bit snug, they'll stretch once you break them in and they'll be sublime, trust me. I wear 10.5 in Clarks, Olukais, Born, Vans, and Birkenstock, and I wear 11 in Saucony and New Balance, and 11.5-12.0 in Nike. I'm not trying to give you my entire footdrobe, but figured I'd help you as much as I could with sizing. Buy these, you know you want to.

Great shoes. The most important thing to know if you have never worn Clarks before is that they run large. I wear size 10.5 in Vans, Nike. Clarks i wear size 9. If you have never tried on Clarks at a brick and mortar store then you might find it frustrating getting the proper size online. The first pair i bought were quite snug, in size 9, and i think if they had 9.5 in stock i'd have bought them instead - but what i learned after wearing these is that they will stretch and the leather will break in nicely and mold to your foot. I bought the desert boot in size 9, and it's a tad uncomfortable the first few times out in them, but again these boots broke it amazing and are now roomy. I bought another pair of suede wallabees years ago, and sprung for a size 9.5 due to 9 not being available - they fit ok but are a tab roomy in the heel which isn't ideal - the goal is to not have any heel slip, and to achieve this it is advisable to go at least a full size smaller, and 1.5 sizes probably better. I think most people play it safe and go a full size smaller which is ok, and many would probably think that after trying on a pair that are 1.5 sizes smaller that they are too tight...and that's where many give up and send them back, rather than giving those shoes a chance to break in over a week or so. I got these Wallabees in size 9 the other day...and was worried whether the sizing was still the same as in the past, but rest assured, i put these on and they are perfect, 1.5 sizes smaller than my Vans and Nike. I can't stress enough that this particular shoe is gonna break in amazing. I already know that with these i will not get any blisters as i did with the desert boots. The desert boots are pretty stiff out of the box - these are like butter compared to them.

First off these shoes look really classy but yet casual at the same time. They go well with jeans and even slacks. They are also super comfortable! They are low profile slim shoes and do not look bulky at all. Now for the fit almost all shoe manufacturers claim their shoes run true to size. But what exactly does true to size mean these days? In nike trainers i wear 11.5 in vans size 11 and chucks size 10. I ordered these in 10.5 and they fit perfect. These shoes have no padding inside so definitely order 1/2-1 full size smaller than your average shoes. If you wear converse order a 1/2 size up from that and you should be fine. Clarks never disappoint!

My husband has big feet with zero arch. He wears inserts in most shoes. These shoes are so comfortable he can wear them without his inserts. They are perfect with many of his outfits and fit true to his size 12 foot. He wears them all of the time!
