Long time wearer of many other Clarks Originals models so I got these as I was in the market for new waterproof boots. Got the same size I get with Wallys, Desert Treks, and Weavers and that worked. Went for a short albeit rugged terrain walk in snow with these and they're definitely not hiking boots! Waterproof yes, but if going to be on your feet all day you'll 100% need to put some sort of insole in these to walk comfortably for more than 10 minutes. I don't consider this a bad thing however. The laces didn't come undone and there are metal eyelets on the lace ups so the leather won't get stretched out over time. These are the best looking waterproof boots I've seen. They just need to work on the insole.
I'd also recommend:
Cole Haan, Converse.

Beware that this Goretex version is considerably narrower and stiffer than traditional Clarks Desert Boots.
