I ended up ordering both the Swedish Hasbeen Swedish Husband and the Mia wooden clog, size 40 (9.5/10). The obvious difference between them is price. The Mia is about $50 less than the Swedish Husband. The shape of the clog bases seem to be the same, and I mean it’s IDENTICAL. I am sure they must be from the same supplier. Zappos lists the Mia heel as 1-1/2 inch and the SH as 2 inches. That is incorrect. They are both just under 2 inches on the size 40 (9.5/10). The wood is, however, different. Mia uses a darker wood with more visible grain and they are not as smoothly polished as the SH. The leather and cut of the upper is a little different. The leather of both is thick and substantial, but the SH is stiffer and looks “dressier”. The Mia leather is a little more pliable and will probably conform to your foot more. The big difference for me is that the SH comes up a little higher on your foot than the Mia. Only about 3/8”, but it may make one or the other feel better on your foot. Overall, the finish on the Swedish Husband is nicer, but the materials of both seem equivalent. Whichever you choose, I would agree that the US sizes listed run small. But I think it is a conversion thing. I am usually a euro 40, and that was the right size.

These are hellish. Cute as a button, but if you have just slightly wide feet, you will think you are dying. I tried them out with thin socks around the house two or three times. Unbearable. I'm a Dansko and Sanita girl, so I am spoiled by comfort. That said, if you are narrower, maybe they could work for you. I am pretty sure the footbed is also awful - maybe okay for younger feet than mine (which are not terribly old, but old enough to be a little particular). I found the length to be true to size - I'm usually a 9 or 39 in a closed toe shoe/clog/birki and was a miserable 39 in these. They are adorable though.

Sizing: I ordered two sizes up, like a few reviewers had recommended. However for me, that was one size too far. I'm usually a solid 39, however a 40 fit my natural length of my foot. Style: Gorgeous! The cognac leather was delish and thick. Just couldn't wait to pair it with every free spirit dress or wide leg jean/pant... you get my meaning. Comfort: A BIG FAT ZERO! I ran a few errands (3hours), the next 24 hours, I was in recovery from walking, standing, sitting for those 3 hours. I assumed clogs were the most comfortable shoe on the planet or at least Sweden! I was wrong. Sadly, very wrong.

I was really worried about what size to order based on all the reviews. I'm not sure if the reviewers here are used to wearing clogs, because I wear a 38 in Dansko, in Birkenstock, and an 8 in Chaco and everything else, so I ordered my normal size, 38. They fit like a 38 should! I put them on with some thin socks to stretch the leather some. I have extremely wide feet, so out of the box, they are snug and do keep my feet from sliding all the way into position, but only slightly. I can tell once I wear them for a few hours, they will be just right. I'm not sure what all the sizing fuss was about on here. I also checked out the SH website to look at how they showed these clogs and they have the clogs fitting with not a lot of heel room (NOT overhang, but not very loose), which is how my regular size does fit, even with wide feet. No pain or anything. I'm pretty pleased with the appearance, they're pretty basic clogs, but the wood and the leather are both nice and high-quality.

I followed the reviews and ordered one size up-above my normal 38-wrong choice. They were too big. I ordered the 38, and they are perfect!

These run VERY VERY SMALL. I'm usually an 8.5/9, got a 39. I struggled with them for a few months and then a friend who wears a 7/7.5 borrowed them and marveled at how perfectly they fit her. I let her keep them, and bought a new pair — 41! Be warned. These are tiny shoes.

Cute! I’m an 8.5 and I wear a 39 in SH. Not sure what all the confusion is over the size. A bit narrow. They are wood block clogs so they aren’t gonna be cushy or or very sturdy on your feet but they are comfortable for what they are. If you’ve never had a wood shoe it takes a little getting used to cause they obviously don’t bend when you walk.

These fit well. I originally ordered one size up based on other recommendations and that was too big. These fit true to size for me, even with my bunions. Though I have relatively narrow feet, so that is a consideration.

This was not my first pair of Swedish Hasbeens. I was a bit confused when it came in a generic (looked to be reused, ripped off label and relabeled) box. All my other shoes came in a labeled box Swedish Hasbeens, with the instructions for care of the shoes.

?????? I’ve wanted these for a while. It’s my 3rd pair of Swedish Hasbeens. I am size 10 and ordered size 40. My heel is right at the edge. The instep is a little snug. Keeping as I know the leather will stretch.

Love 'em. They are adorable and classic. They looked slightly small when I first put them on, as I'm used to a clunky Dansko, but these feel great. I have narrow low profile feet and ordered my usual size. I'm happy with the purchase and will probably wear them for years.

I find these extremely comfortable! I'm always Euro size 41 (US 9.5-10) the 41 fits perfectly and my feet are happy walking and standing all day. I also tried the Mia version but their biggest size is US 10 which they translate to a Euro 40 for some reason so they are absolutely too small. I'm looking forward to seeing how long these last.

I exchanged for the black. This shoe was the exact same color as my skin color-- I wasn't looking for that match!

I wear a 42 Narrow in Birkenstocks. I wear a 10.5 in Stuart Weitzman. Based on the recommendations in other reviews, I went with my suggested size of 41 and hoped that the folks complaining about the shoe being too narrow were right. Well. It arrived and was too short and there was a good 1cm of extra width all around my foot. Bummer.

I was hesitant to buy these because of all the negative reviews. But they look so happy and bright I just wanted to try them, even with the high pricetag. I love these shoes. They are a bit stiff and I think they won't be as comfortable as my Dansko clogs. But my feet feel pretty good in them and I think they look great.

I'm still getting used to wearing these, but I'll say I was thrown off by all the sizing reviews. I'm a true 7.5 and the 38 fit great.

This clog feels like it came off a factory assembly line. The leather is super stiff. Just taking a few steps in my livingroom was super painful as the leather was unbending to the shape of my foot.

I bought these because of their fine quality and workmanship. I justified the price by knowing they would last and that I would totally enjoy a “high end” clog. Unfortunately my wide feet were just a little too wide, so I returned. I would recommend these a classy clogs!

I love these clogs! I normally wear a 9 and purchased a 10 and they fit perfectly. They do take some time to wear in and are a bit stiff when I first got them.

I love these so much. I’m a solid size 11 in women’s shoes and the size 41 is perfect. They’re expensive but hopefully they will last and they’re also very classic.

True size 39, great for a slightly wider foot. Terrific quality materials and craftsmanship. Will slowly break them in as recommended.

I absolutely love these shoes. They’re my second pair of Swedish Hasbeens and I want more. I did put pieces of moleskin on the top part that hits the top of my foot. Easy fix so I can wear these longer!
