These are the most beautiful boots in the world! Unfortunately they slouch down around your ankles and look awful. The shaft is way too wide and baggy. It's such a shame because the style is absolutely gorgeous and the leather is the best ever! I am so unbelievably disappointed. They are meant to be slouchy and cool but for some reason the way that they slouch doesn't look cool at all. It just looks misshapen. I can't give enough praise about the quality of the leather and the boot.

I ordered these boots last week and I'm in love with them! When I pull them all the way up, they almost reach my knee. I'm 6' tall so my legs are long. It only took one afternoon of wearing them to break them in the suede is so soft. I got the Fatigue color, in some light they look brown, in others quite green. These will be in my wardrobe for years!

Love, love, love this boot! Fits true to size and is so comfortable you can wear it all day and all night!

This is the first pair of Frye boots I have ever owned. I have been on the hunt for leather riding boots with no zippers and no-frills for over two years. I had almost given up hope until I stumbled across these on Nordstrom's website. They were exactly what I wanted: western, but not straight up cowgirl, weathered, but not beat up. I ordered them in a size 8- are usually wear a size 7 or a 7 1/2 in shoes, but in boots I like to have a little bit more room to wear socks. These were so comfortable right off the bat. A couple drawbacks: I don't have very long legs – I am 5'6" and when I walk in these boots, they touch the back of my thigh. This was a pretty annoying problem until I tried them with tights on and it was no longer an issue. When I sit down they do fold a little bit because of how high they are but I will make it work because they are so lovely. You can dress them up or down – I've paired them with a skirt or with leggings and they are by far my most favorite boots. I got them in the cognac leather, the suede is not my style. These do not scrunch down whatsoever. The other downfall with these boots is that they have a leather sole with absolutely no grip. I love them so much though that I will bring them to a cobbler and have a soul that's more appropriate for a winter weather in New England put on. I have not worn them outside yet but wanted to review them upfront because they were getting such a bad rap. These are beautiful boots! You will not be disappointed.

I bought these in elephant oiled suede. The color is beautiful and as shown. The suede is wonderful quality. I have a high arch and these were a little hard to get on. They'll be perfect after a couple of wears. Depending on your calf size, these can be worn slouchy with tights or tall with skinny jeans. I am really excited to wear them this fall with my winter white sweaters.

I thought these were going to be the boots I've been looking for. The suede is beautiful! However, they are unconstructed and slouch so much they look like the don't fit. Sadly, I had to return them.

This boot is well made and was true to size for me (8.5). The shaft is butter soft and is supposed to slouch down around the ankle. I did not care for how much leather bunched around that area. The shaft is wide, and typically boots are tight on me through the calf, but this boot was not. So it might be ideal for ladies with a wider calf. Had to return, I though I looked like a pirate in them.

The boots are lovely however this pair arrived with cuts in the leather shaft of both boots.

These boots have zero structure to them. The color and suede are beautiful, but they are very slouchy with no structure to be a tall boot at all. Very deceiving picture, and also name "Cara Tall" boot does not stand up very tall at all. Unfortunately, I was super disappointed in these boots.

This is a nice looking boot and seemed to fit well but unfortunately someone else has worn them! When I took out of the box they were scuffed at bottoms and the suede was scratched off in one place:(!

I was extremely disappointed with this boot. I own several other styles from Frye and have always been impressed with their quality. The problem with this boot is that it slouches SO much it was difficult to walk. The boot is pictured as a knee-high style but when I walked they feel down around my ankles. Definitely not as advertised. Thank goodness Zappos is awesome and let me exchange for a different Frye style!
