I use this everyday to school, and it is very great to use.

Ording was quick and easy..had more choices to choose from online than I would've had in the store.

I use it to pack my huge HP envy laptop (it fits snugly in the hard shell pocket) and my books. The things inside don't move around a lot to where the book ends get creased over. It looks awesome. Couldn't be happier.

Love the backpack

I purchased this for my son after many other "well made and durable" packs ripped like paper bags under the weight of his textbooks. He was marveling at the North Face pack I used for college and still use. However, not being as huge a fan of yellow as his mother, we opted for gray and black. I know this bag will take him through high school and college, and still be solid.

I love this back so much I purchase another one!!! TNF love everything they put out!!! In my opinion one of the greatest companies in the world!!

As you would expect from North Face, great quality. Works great for my laptop. Stylish and comfortable.

This is my first TNF bag that I've purchased for school. Man It's awesome! This can hold my 2 textbooks and 2 one inch binders will PLENTLY of room for a pencil pouch, snacks and small things. I am still finding little pockets I didn't know was there at first! :-) very pleased.

Very stylish, and durable, so far it makes me feel good. Size is great, not a big one, but not a small one. The one thing that I really like is the color (I chose urban navy), and the one thing that I think it can be better is be a water-proof bag, and that will be perfect

I have one of the 2011 versions of this backpack. Everything about it is great except for the inability to hold a 17" laptop. I had a 15" laptop when I bought the backpack. One thing I like about it over the current model is that the side pockets has a cinch cord instead of elastic to hold item in place. The elastic will lose elasticity over time like it does in gym shorts or sweatpants for example.

This bag has everything you need in a school bag. Its a very simple with one pocket and a D door. The D door really saves space in the bag and you get more room for stuffing text books into the bag and still having a nice laptop sleeve that can support the average size lap top up to 15". I like how they have included a waist strap. You don't see those on laptop bags very often. Back support is great and feels great to wear as well. Vented straps are not just a gimmick they are very comfortable to wear with long use. Over a nice bag with simple features that work.

I used this product for school. I had my hot shot for all three years of my high school. I just barely graduated. It is super comfortable and durable. But the downside is I just had it stolen yesterday so yeah. But I would buy this product again. Which I will to start college. I'm a the north face kind of guy I buy a lot of things from them

I do like that this has so many pockets and is easy to organize. I wanted to purchase a good, solid backpack that would last for a long time for traveling. I wish they had this exact version in a slightly smaller size for small frames like myself (5' 2"). I'm using the laptop sleeve for my 12" ipad and not a laptop so it's too much for me. If you're looking for that extra padding and sturdiness this is perfect for bigger people though! I'm keeping it as I know it will come in handy in airports.

Great backpack. Quite pricey but worth the cost.

I have used this backpack now for a 30 trip to France, along with a large, check in backpack. This one is perfect for day trips and overnights. Zippers are great (had another backpack whose zippers broke a week after purchase), and I could fit my 17 inch laptop in there, although not in the computer pocket, but whatever. Camera, extra clothings, and all the small stuff in the front section - over all a great little backpack. Looking forward to a trip to Brazil next Spring.

Used by gift recipient for school

I love this backpack but I would prefer the old design. I hope The North face reintroduces the old design. The front zipper is not practical in case I I needed to retrieve something I packed.
