This is my second pair of Keen boots, my other pair are mid calf zip up snow boots. These are the same size as my other pair and have similar fit. I am prone to plantar irritation, so I put arch supports in all my walking shoes. This helps keep my foot in the back of the shoe and helps to keep my toes from jamming into the front. The third time I wore these boots was on a 8.5 mile hike in a light snow. It required crossing two creeks on stepping stones. My feet stayed warm and dry. Going downhill the ball of my foot was sliding forward and back a little. But I think if I revisit the lacing I can fix that. The ankle is thickly cushioned. I'm not used to feeling that slight pressure on my ankle; it's not uncomfortable, just unusual for me. The ankle cushion helps keep debris and snow out of the shoe, I'm all for that!

I have Morton's neuroma (for those unfamiliar with this, it's a pinched nerve in the sole of the foot that makes it painful to walk) and these are the first boots that have not inflamed my neuroma. There's sufficient space in the toe area so my feet aren't squeezed tight. I've hiked over snow, through 2 inches of running water and on steep, sometimes muddy and very uneven, terrain and the boots worked well for me and kept my feet dry. Like many women, I have small ankles and on many boots, I'm not able to get the ankle area laced tight. That isn't a problem with the Keen Gypsum II Mid Waterproof.

Just wore these on a 7-hour hike on a trail rated "Strenuous" and they were great. No blisters and they were comfortable all day. The only previous breaking-in I did was to wear them for a couple of hours around the house and then a 1-hour outdoor walk. This is my first pair of Keen boots and I am very happy with this purchase. I have a narrow heel and a wide front foot, so I have a hard time finding footwear that fits. I wear a 6,6.5 or 7 depending on the shoe. I ordered a 7 in these and, with hiking socks, they fit perfectly.

Thank you Zappos for keeping boots flying back and forth until I finally found a pair I can wear. Has wide toebox and narrow heel. Has Keen right out of the box wearability.

I really wanted to love this boot. Solid and sturdy all around and a higher rise for wobbly ankles. It is wider in the toe box too for those of us with wide feet. Unfortunately, there is a leather toe guard that has the slightest curve to it (see photo #2). The curve is so slight that you may not notice but on my boots it was enough to dig into my toes as I walked. I also noticed there was a lot of stitching underneath to create a bump. Maybe it was just my pair of boots--I noticed the bump/curve was not as pronounced in the other foot--but it was a deal-breaker for me.

I really liked these boots! I tried on 4 different styles of Keen hiking boots, and this was ALMOST the one I kept. The boot seemed hefty and sturdy, with nice ankle support, and felt like a good backpacking boot. Unfortunately, the arch felt a little higher to me than most Keen boots, and it just wasn't as comfortable as I'd hoped. I ended up going with the Keen Teradora.

I love keen and was thrilled to snag these on sale- my feet are wide w high arches , freakish really, and keens are my best option. These look great and are waterproof. I wore them in down pours hiking several times already- my only complaint is tnat once tney got wet, the suede or leather on the outside of the boot became discolored- like water marks - just making them look old right away. It doesn't matter bc I'm not buying these to wear down the runway or for a fashion shoot i just think tnat for the price tney should look pretty spiffy for a long time. I have found this w other keens too- esp the keen kaci- it looks old and beat up almost immediately- just a cosmetic issue tho.

I have wide feet and have always had problems with hiking boots (blisters on my pinky toes - ouch). No more with these. They are great width wise and overall comfort wise. I can wear them all day and be perfectly happy. I ordered a half size up and the fit is perfect.

Bought these for my 22 year old daughter, who has wide feet. I was afraid she'd hate the style (they did seem kind of ugly to me) but she was so pleased! She reported the shoes were very comfortable, lightweight, no breaking in needed and once I took a look, I can also say I was surprised - it looked great on her. Excellent!

I bought these in Cocoa/Tiger Lily and in the Midnight/Navy... the Cocoa pair is bigger in the toe and creases across my foot when I step (I have a widish but lower-volume foot) and the Midnight pair does not. I am normally a 9.5 and brought a 10.5 because this brand tends to run small - I have a size 10 in another Keen pair and after a few hours of hiking, my toe touches the top of that boot. The Cocoa pair was definitely too big, though I liked that color better.

Great hiking boots keeping my feet dry and warm. Stylish enough for their function. My disappointment came when the sole started coming off - the sole isn't even worn out yet. Shouldn't happen with moderate use.

I've put over 500 miles of fairly rigorous hiking on these boots and the uppers are still in perfect condition. They are still waterproof and still feel comfortable. I did replace the insole at about 300 miles. It's only because there is absolutely no tread left that I am shopping for another pair.

After a hiking trip with snow and listening to my husband rave on and on about the waterproof, warm Keen's I had bought him I decided to give them a go for me. I wear Lowa boots, for the high ankle coverage and the light weight. Unfortunately the light weight means not warm, but comfortable overall. The Gypsum are stiff, which will take a bit of getting used to but should be ok once they break in. The toe box is very roomy and wide. A nice addition for those of us with duck feet. Overall I think that these will be a great addition to my boot collection for cold weather.
I'd also recommend:
Lowa for boots and North Face for hiking pants.

These Hiking Boots were awsome. I live in a warm climate so I had to purchase Waterproof warmer hiking boots for a planned trip. They were perfect for the casual hiker for a cooler climate where you might need watrer proof for snow or cold rain. I did wish there was more tracksion on the soles but I also purchased snow trx and that worked out perfect. I also bought a half size larger and added a gel insole.

I have fat feet and these are a perfect width. They are very lightweight for being waterproof. I do wish they had more tracksion for uneven ground, mud, snow hiking but over all these are awsome boots.

These come up higher around the ankle than the other Keens and Columbia mid wp's. Fairly comfortable, great look to them, not as clunky as the Targhee. Well-cushioned, but will wear this around the house to see if this is it. Bunions had room, even though this was not a "wide" but was 1/2size up from my normal. Arch support was fine. Great color - blue and blue/grey.

Very attractive and well made. Usually Keen’s work well for me, but this boot was too narrow in the toe box for my foot. I tried 8 and 8.5 size but just not wide enough for me. So, sadly, I returned them.

The right boot felt great. The left boot had a high lump along the outer part of the insole that was uncomfortable the moment that I put it on, and would likely have caused real damage to my foot had I used the boots. Too bad! Mysteriously, this is the second Keen shoe I've ordered this winter with that bump on the outer left sole. Others have been fine, or if they didn't fit, they didn't fit symmetrically.

These are the WORST hiking boots on ice/snow. I hiked in Montana and fell a few times. I do not want these boots as they have no traction. Of course on plain cement they work without rain/snow/ice. I've contacted Zappos and expect a full refund.

These waterproof hiking boots work great for me. My first hike with them was 4.5 miles on uneven, rocky terrain with several creek crossings and they were super comfortable, no blisters and kept my feet dry. For sizing reference: I wear a 9.5 in Rose Keen sandals, a 10 in Brooks running shoes and a 10 in most causal and hiking boots. The 10 in this boot fit perfect.

I have a narrow foot and a high arch so finding a hiking shoe/boot that fits is a miracle. (Couldn't afford the ones that come in narrow). I only need a heavier pair of socks and I'm good to go. These boots were so comfy on my first hike. Expect to have them for a long time.

I bought these because I love my Keen Presidios so much. I must have a weirdly shaped foot, because my athletic shoes are a size 10, but I wear a 9 in both Keen shoe styles, even after I add a Superfeet Berry insole. This is a lightweight flexible shoe with great all over foot and ankle support. It’s extremely comfortable and completely waterproof. I have been wearing these constantly since I got them for working in my wet, muddy yard and am very happy with them. I expect them to last a long time and to get a lot of use out of them. These are my second pair of Keens - my Presidios (with my Superfeet berry insoles) are the first shoe I have ever had that I can be on my feet for 12 hours in with no foot pain. I expect these to be the same! Also, I love zappo’s - I bought a bunch of sizes to make sure I was getting the right one - the fast free shipping and returns helped me get the perfect waterproof shoes!

Absolutely love these boots. Bought them for hiking and travel. I’ve had surgery for PF and needed something that would give me support, but not be so stiff and ridged that I couldn’t feel the ground. I can comfortably feel connected to the ground in these - they allow for the feel of the ground/rocks/path beneath you enough to feel confident in your strides. The rise around the ankle is very comfortable and padded. Had a good pair of hiking socks on too. They didn’t feel bulky or heavy and I’m very pleased with the look of them. I’ll definitely be checking out the men’s and children’s equivalent to them as well.
