I used this for the first time for a work trip last week and it was perfect. Held my 15 inch laptop aw well as an extra screen I travel with in the padded compartment securely. Tons of room for my Bose headphones, glasses, tablet and a small travel purse in the main compartment. Honestly did not come close to filling it up. Was comfortable to wear through the airport. It stowed under the seat, but did prevent me from stretching out my feet so works better in the overhead if that is an option.

I actually received this backpack from my employer as a welcome aboard gift. I've had it for 6.5 years now and it's been an amazing backpack. It holds my 16" laptop easily along with my leather portfolio/notebook, pens, highlighters, extra mouse, sunglasses, two water bottles, ear buds, charging cords for all the above, I also normally carry a couple of books, one is a quick reference book for writing, and usually a novel or something to read on planes. It has plenty of room for all the above and so much more. I love all the pockets for organization. The only downside to all those pockets and storage pockets is that there are so many places to store things I sometimes forget where I put something and it takes a minute to look through all of them to find what I want. I take this bag on business trips with me all the time. It has a super convenient luggage handle pass through under the shoulder straps that makes carrying it through the airport super easy. It fits perfectly under the seat in an airplane. In addition to using it as a business bag, it's an airline carry-on, an overnight bag, I've also used it while riding my motorcycle to carry whatever I need. I read a review that said it was junk and that it was cheaply constructed. I would disagree with that. I'm retired military and I beat gear to death. I expect whatever my gear to deal with the punishment I heap upon it and ask for more. This bag has dealt with everything I've thrown at it. After 6 and half years of torture and taking it everywhere it does have a rip on one of the mesh side pockets right where the mesh is sewed into the the top border at the opening of the mesh pocket. I usually put my 40 ounce insulated water bottle there and I think 6 years of constantly pulling the bottle in and out is finally starting to catch up with it. The other issue is that one of the zippers on the smaller front pocket has a small tear it in from me overstuffing the bag a million times. The zipper still works but sometimes it snags on the tear and requires a little extra care to get it open. The padding on the right shoulder strap is a little compressed as well, since more often than not I throw it over one shoulder. But considering the abuse that I've put this bag through, those few minor damages are a testament to the durability of the bag. I've done more damage to military speck gear in shorter amounts of time. In short, I love this bag, and highly recommend it for durability, ease of organization, ability to carry a lot of gear, it's comfortable to wear heavily loaded, the metal handle makes it super easy to carry or pick-up, makes a great carry-on for air travel, the ample padding keeps your electronics safe, and it looks good. I love it so much I actually came to the website to start looking for a replacement since it has been 6 years, I think it is time to retire it and upgrade. I thought I should leave a review since I've had it for so long and really do love the bag.

Purchased this a year ago to carry the beast that is my work-issue 17" Dell Precision laptop and the similarly hefty power brick that it comes with. This was after researching several competing (and much more expensive!) designs from popular brands and discovering that not only did they lack many of the OGIO's features, they were also too small for the Dell, making their claims of fitting a 17" laptop dubious at best. Not the Axle! This backpack fits the massive workstation with plenty of room to spare and has compartments for days. For those who don't know, OGIO stands for "Our Gear Is Organized" - and boy is it ever! I am able to carry the laptop, power brick, AirPods, a second set of wireless headphones, mouse, drawing tablet & pen, paperwork, all associated cables, plus a number of accessories and supplies, each in its own separate slot or compartment, many of which are zippered - and this absolute cavern of a backpack is still not even close to full capacity. I should add that the laptop sleeve is very well padded and does a stellar job protecting the computer on the many trips I've taken with it. The shoulder straps sit nice and wide, and the ergonomic shape is so comfortable that even with all the weight I normally pack inside this backpack, I sometimes forget I'm wearing it. My favorite features have to be the 270 zipper around the main compartment, which makes it super easy to load and unload large flat items like the laptop and tablet, and the luggage pass-through. Everything from the zipper to the materials feels super solid, and after a year of traveling and commuting, everything is holding up great. I have just one minor gripe, and it's that the retaining strap for the tablet compartment isn't quite long enough to fit around a medium-sized Wacom Intuos Pro, but that's not really what it's for (the Wacom is nearly 14" long), so not a huge issue - just something to be aware of for the traveling Photoshop wizards out there. The corresponding laptop strap, on the other hand, fits nicely. With all that being said, I have no doubt the Axle will serve me faithfully for many years, and I would not hesitate to recommend it to anyone who needs a reliable work backpack that is a breeze to travel with and can REALLY fit a 17" laptop (and so, so much more). OGIO, please don't stop making these!

Have had this bag for a few weeks and it works great, takes the place of my breif case, shoulder straps work well, well organized, easy to use. the computer strap is a too long, it's very loose and hangs down when attached, if you have a really long lap top it may take up the slack, but mine is a 15 inch and it barely reaches the top of pouch. Pockets are easily accessable and easy to put paper, books, manuals what ever into and out of.

I have had this bag like more than 11-12 years (bought it at university bookstore where I went). During these 11-12 years, I have been using it during my business trip, and most of time I carried two 13inches laptops with me in this backpack. What I am trying to say is that this backpack never breaks and still stay strong. I'm still using it as it is today. No extra maintenance required at all. I don't clean it just let it sit in my closet; when I need to go on business, which at majority of time, I bring it and go with me everywhere. I just thought that this company deserved to be noticed! Great job done.

I love this backpack, it has a lot of pockets, it can fit my whole setup that i use for work stuff (Laptop, Keyboard, Mouse) plus a bunch of HDMI, USB C Cables, Adapters, Chargers, Dock, i can fit also documents, keys, my wireless earbuds, spare change, wallet, hand sanitizer on the side zippered pockets, pens, a journal, notebook, also carry a bottle of water, and though is kinda heavy it doesn't feel uncomfortable to carry it on my back, ITS AMAZING!

I love this backpack! This was company initiative to buy this model for our teams and this is the best backpack I've had so far. I love all the hidden and not-so-hidden pockets - they help me to organize all the stuff I often travel with.

This bag has great space and isn't too big or two small. It's perfect for bringing home laptop, keypad, mouse and gear. I can load it up and still have room for my headphones.

Bought this 2 months ago, solid/functional construction. No wasted compartments or space. All storage areas are maximized and the bag more than accommodates a 17in laptop, full size tablet and anything else I decide to throw in there. Super comfortable to carry and easy to throw over the handle on my carry-on luggage.

This replaced my OGIO bag from about 7 years ago. Nothing was wrong with it. I just wanted a new one. I love this new bag. My only "problem" is that with so many hidden pockets, I am afraid I will "lose" something and forget where I placed it! I use this as a work backpack. The bag is well-designed, constructive, function and just as important, attractive.

I was on the hunt for a new backpack with business travel starting back up. I really wanted a smaller profile (looks nicer and fits under an airplane seat with ease) but with enough pockets and storage space. This thing checked all of the boxes and looks great. I stick with Ogio products because of the customer service and warranty. I had a couple roller bags with issues and they swapped them out immediately. Great company and this is another great product from them.

I bought this on a whim - frustrated with other backpacks, I decided to try out Ogio. First off, these zippers are the best for travelling. If you "overpack" and need that extra umph to get something jammed into the pack - these zippers will allow you to do it. Secondly, the bottom the bag is a nice plyable plastic-ey/leather material. It is very durable and will not rip or tear (from what I can tell). My only complaint is that there are these two little pockets in the main compartment that are kind of useless (for me again). The other feature I wish it had was a hidden compartment (similar to that on the Pace backpacks) that I can hold my passport and cash. Very satisfied and I would definitely recommend this bag.

I bought the bag for my son's birthday. He has had an Ogio backpack in the past and absolutely loves the quality and durability. It was a good price too.

This is a sturdy bag that travels through an airport easily. There are so many pockets that hold everything I need, sometimes I even forget where I have things! Sturdy closures and zippers. Love that the suitcase handle sleeve is the whole bag not just a single strap!

I was very impressed with the quality and design of the backpack. However, it was just too small for a particular piece of equipment that I use for my work.

I got this from work as a gift after being hired. I've used it for over two years now and it's still in almost brand new condition despite the fact that I have used it nearly everyday during that time period. It's great as an everyday bag for work and I always take with me on business trips. It keeps my laptop safe and secure and I can carry still carry a tablet, my cell phone, extra cords and connections, my leather portfolio, a book to read while traveling, personal items, and so much more. There are enough pockets that everything has a place which makes it really easy to organize my gear and find it when needed without fumbling through and pulling things out. I highly recommend this bag if you are in an environment where backpacks are acceptable. I am upgrading to the Renegade and will be handing this one down to my son to use at school. It really is a great bag!
