These look great but run a full size large compared to my other merrells. The tongue was also very painful on my feet, it hurt with every step. Needless to say these are going back.

Excellent!!!. I got the sunned color, and these Merrells are the best ones I have had. I hope they continue to make these. I'll definitely buy another pair!!!. I get compliments all the time. The Waitsfield collection is the top of the line, and they have all the good stuff. Don't let the price turn you away, you do get what you pay for!!!!.....

The boot looks great and the support is very comfortable! BUT, the tongue of the boot is very painful. The laces make the leather fold and buckle so that they press into you uncomfortably. Additionally, I wore them out for one clear and dry day in the city and they are covered in stretch marks and scuffs. I love my other Merrells, but these are going back.

Sharp looking boot, but they did not hold up to even casual wear during a wet winter/spring in the Northwest. The leather upper started breaking down almost immediately. They were waterproof for maybe two days. I was unable to resuscitate them through any amount of leather TLC. First and last Merrell. Got great customer support through Zappos.

I'm quite pleased with these boots. Though I am typically much closer to a size 13, these in size 12 fit surprisingly good out of the box. Also, while Merrells are known to run wide, they are quite acceptable for my narrow feet. (I did opt for some Superfeet insoles to limit heel movement.) Easy on/off and very comfortable with no break-in required. Overall I'm quite pleased and would recommend these.

I love these boots. I was looking for a casual, everyday winter boot as an alternative to my heavy and clunky duck boots. These are very light, supportive and comfortable. I wore them in the snow and they are waterproof. I got the black color and was easily able to wipe road salt off them (this is a problem with some shoes in snowy New England). They are leather and I did need to wear for a day to break them in. As mentioned in other reviews, the tongue was uncomfortable at first. Once I broke them in, this was no longer a problem. They are not especially warm so I recommend a pair of thick socks for very cold weather. Oh and surprise, I'm a woman! The women's 9.5 and 10 were long enough but the toe box was much too narrow. The men's 8 has a wider toe box and fit perfectly. They look cute with skinny jeans or bootcut. They also come with grey laces. They are sturdy and well made. I look forward to wearing these for years to come.

Great fit, good for a narrow foot. You can tell the boots are good quality when you put them on, and they've been comfortable to wear hiking. The blue laces are cool, but you also get a pair of grey laces.

I hesitated purchasing these because the two other reviewers both returned them. But I figured returns were so easy so I gave it a go. I have to say I have only worn these one time but I did not experience any problems with the tongue biting or rubbing and I found my size to be true. I love the boots, they looks awesome and are actually a fair bit more lightweight than expected given their look. Haven't really tested waterproofness yet but I found them to be comfortable and I love the look.
