I'm hard to fit. High instep. Wider foot. These shoes are like an answer to a prayer. Perfect fit. Extremely supportive, excellent arch support. Cute, too. I actually tried the backless model because I usually have better luck with them. They were extremely tight across my instep and much tighter all around. So the whole shoe was the keeper. The pebbled leather trimmed in a wool fabric is terrific.

Most of my shoes these days are Merrell's; boots and mocs. I purchased this pair because I wanted something for fall/winter that would seem to hold up as my old Merrell mocs have for a couple of years now. I ordered these in a 10 vs a 9.5 as I tend to put inserts in my shoes for better support. The inserts can make or break the difference between sizes. As such, I can't speak to the built-in support of the shoe. I don't think most shoes (made for women especially) have great support. Just pull out the insert and see for yourself. Anyway, even with the insert and a pair of my fall/winter socks, they were still roomy but still comfortable to wear. I did debate whether or not to go a 1/2 size down, but I think I'm happy with what I received. I fear a 9.5 with the insert would be too snug, and I'd rather wear these with plushier socks anyway. The toe box is wide, allowing for plenty of wiggle room (hence I listed as "true to wide" in the product specs). These seem nicely made and are stylish for the jeans & sweater fall crowd.

I love these shoes!! I bought them for work since there non slip. I work in a kitchen and so far they've held up pretty well. I usually wear a wide but these are perfect as a regular width. These have to be the most comfortable shoes I've ever owned!!

I am so glad I tried these shoes! My feet are very picky and it has been a long stream of failures as far as shoes go. I have a wide foot with a high arch and a bunion to make things more challenging! These shoes were comfortable from the first day, and that is really saying something. I often wear a 9 Wide, so I ordered a 9.5 since these don't come in Wide width. Perfect. And after some wear, they are even MORE comfortable. I just bought the Dassie Fold Slide on sale this week and love them too. They are not a dressy shoe, but are subtle enough to wear with most things. I do recommend the fold v.s. the regular Dassie for anyone with a high arch, since the fold is cloth and is more flexible.

Pros: comfortable out of the box, easy to slip on, stays on your foot while you walk, button and fabric detail is nice. Only con is that the brown color is a little shiny/fake leather looking. But, I've worn them for a couple of days and it seems to be dulling to a more natural color. Overall, these are exactly what I was looking for for cold weather shoes.

Based on the sale price it appears that this shoe is being discontinued. I have another pair, and love them. So glad that there was still a pair left in my size 11. Now I have an old pair for working in the yard and a nice pair for wearing in public.

I ordered a 7 and happily wear the Merrell Dassie Buckle in a 7. Actually a 6.5 is my usual size but I size up to put in my own insole. Nice shoe. Not as fitted in the heel as the Merrell Dassie Buckle. I like a wide toebox.

Cute, cute, cute! Unfortunately I'll be returning these as they run small. And yes I did order 1/2 size larger. I'm 8.5 shoe and these ran small, my toe was hitting the end, I'm hoping the 1/2 size larger will work. I

great looking shoe, light weight and easy on the feet. Fits my R foot perfectly but angers my L foot bunion. I wanted to be able to keep a pr and trie different sizes to be sure. Not for me, sadly.

I wear 8 1/2 or 9. (feet , nose and ears grow forever), so have moved more towards the 9. My toes jammed right up to the very end of these. Cute shoes, ordered both Moc and Slide. Must return both. Can't speak for comfort or support since I couldn't walk in them.I also didn't change the stars from 5 since I couldn't judge.

does not fit as well as older lassie....will keep one pair because i need shoes but will return other pair

This shoe fits like it was made for me. I like the higher back as oftentimes my heal will slip, but it doesn't with these. I put them on with jeans and that was it. They are now my favorite pair of shoes. The color is very nice, too. I wear an 8M and they fit true to size.

Very cute and comfortable shoe. Light in weight and my feet stay cool. Great shoe for running around town when you want to be comfortable but also look nice.

I love the look of these shoes but they were just a bit too small so I tried the next size larger. Unfortunately, they were just a bit too big. Just like Goldilocks!

Very comfortable casual shoe. They work perfectly with jeans or leggings. The fold over is more felt like material, the rest of the shoe suede. I'm not sure what I think about this. Overall definitely worth the purchase for a casual, comfortable shoe !

Have had the Dassie Buckle pair in size 9M for 3 years, and love them. Tried 9M in these, and they were too short, so ordered a replacement pair in 9.5M. (I typically wear an 8.5 - 9.) -- Really love the style of this shoe ... casual but with a nice aesthetic --- and like the fit of this pair.

These are so cute. I love the warm wintry look. The size 6 was to large and the size 5 1/2 was slightly to short. These lovely shoes are very soft and comfortable. I only wish I could have kept them.

Merrell is my go to brand - these were not as comfortable at first but after a few wears they felt great. In fact, I ordered a second pair in brown.

I was a little nervous when I bought these as they may be to tight. But alas they are not! I wore them all day with no problems. I have been looking for a black shoe for sometime as my Rockports and Grasshopper have died. This is a terrific shoe and very cute too.
