I was excited to get these for the upcoming winter but sadly they were too narrow. My pinky toe was crushed. I'm an 8 1/2 (almost) wide but usually size 9's work for me.

Great fit, extremely comfortable and very warm even when tromping thru two feet of snow.

Really liked the warmth and style - especially for inclement weather. They keep you dry in the puddles and warm in the cold. A great go to boot for rain or light hiking. They are fully adjustable to your calves and I love that they are mostly leather. I bought the "pewter" color and I'm not sorry I did.

Got these for my mom in bracken after several tries at other boots looking for something warm but also not too heavy. (I'd ordered some Sorels which were certainly substantial but just to heavy/clompy for either one of us to use. She loves the Murren Tall. I'll be keeping my eye on them in the coming months as I would like to get them in pewter for myself.

This winter in Michigan has had some really cold periods. During the last cold spell my feet were freezing in my old boots so I started my search for warmer boots. Over the years I have read good reviews about Merrell products so I decided to give them a try. I read many reviews on different styles and watched video clips for fit and style and theses boots looked good. I was concerned about the fit, but if you can wear two sizes such as 9.5 or 10, order the larger size. This boots are comfortable, warm and very stylish. I highly recommend these boots.

I love my new boots!,I just got there today, because I had some problems with the delivery, and customer service fixed the inconvenience despite that it was not their fault. I want to thank Zappos fot the best customer service. The boots have a Nice style, very warm and very comfortable, at least around the house, the weather is getting colder so probably i will wear them this week, i am so excited. the only thing is that the circunference around the calves is a little narrow. I am size 7 , and it fits me well.

Well, these boots are very nice but the Velcro at the top of the boot takes away from the slim style. The Velcro makes it look much wider and bulkier. I would have kept them if they had just the shoelaces.

I purchased these boots and I found them to be very comfortable. It was about 30-40 degrees outside and my toes felt cold. I read the other comments that say these boots are warm, but I only found them warm in the leg. Also the arch support is minimal. I took the insole and saw that it was almost flat. That would not be a problem if I could buy an insole with an arch, but the boots are not high enough on the foot to allow for a thicker insole with an arch.

I'm usually a 7.5 but after reading the reviews I ordered these in both 7.5 and 8. The 8 was too big, and something was jamming against my ankle. I was nervous the 7.5 would be even worse, but they fit perfectly. Definitely not recommended if you have a wide foot. My foot is narrow, and fits snugly but comfortably in these boots. They're also a LOT lighter than Sorrels and some of the other clunky winter boots I've tried. A little disappointed that the tongue is not connected all the way up the shaft of the boot. These were intended to be used in potentially very deep snow - I walk my dog in the woods every day, even if there's 3 feet of fresh snow. Not sure how these would hold up in deep snow, but they seem like they'll be fine if just a few inches, maybe up to a foot. They're not the prettiest boot but I'm going for function. The pewter was pretty dull-looking, exchanging for the Bracken.

I expected that Merrell would offer no arch support since it doesn't anymore. The boots would have been fine if the left one hadn't dug into my ankle bone while I was sitting at my computer! When I started walking, it was excruciating.

I've been on the hunt for a pair of all purpose winter boots for an upcoming trip to Denver. I generally love Merrell products and really wanted to love these boots - narrow footbed fit well, adjustable laces for a snug fit; but I have big calves, and this boot hit me right in the widest part. So, back they go and the search continues...

I thought I'd love this boot but I'm sending it back. The tongue of the boot is not connected at the top 6" or so and I have large calves. I was concerned the tongue might slip to one side and leave my shin exposed or worse, snow would wind up getting into the boot. Otherwise, a great looking boot!

Good fit, but found a more comfortable boot.

I ordered a size larger than normal, hoping it would allow room for thick socks. It ended up hurting my upper heel/lower calf, so I probably should have ordered my actual size. Unfortunately, I am returning because of the style. The boot is adorable online! But my oversized calves and thighs were accentuated with the laces in front. I am exchanging for a different style.
