I usually wear an 8M and the 8M in this shoe fit just fine. The shoe is comfortable and lightweight, but I am concerned that it may not provide enough support for long walks over the longterm. After wearing these a few times, I bought another pair of shoes - Vasque Grand Traverse - for my long walks and hikes. I'll keep these Merrells around for light walks in the neighborhood or just fun.

so far very happy with this shoe! light weight and very comfortable although not a lot of padding in the sole. i got it for an everyday walking around shoe and it fits the bill perfectly.

I wanted these cute Merrell's to work for my average feet, but they offer no arch support and my feet actually burned after wearing them. I have returned them. I will try another style---my old Merrell's are on their last legs but are super comfortable and supportive with no additional inserts. I'll find another pair.

I didn't realize when I ordered these, that they were "minimalist" type shoes with only a 4mm drop. I usually prefer an 8mm drop, but when I put these on they were so comfortable that I decided to give them a chance. They have become my preferred shoe for walking, both on firm trails and paved surfaces. I often wear them to work (casual office) and like that they are as comfortable as my running shoes but have a little more subtle look that doesn't scream "running shoe". I wear them so much that I am thinking about ordering a second pair because I will probably wear these out quickly with near constant use. I don't plan to actually run in them - even though I am a neutral runner, they don't offer enough support or cushioning for me to use them for running and I have other running shoes that fit that role better. But they are close to perfect for most of the walking I do. I would not choose to wear them on a rocky trail since the soles are fairly thin and very flexible.

I'm looking for all new shoes now that my dr had told me I need more arch support. I love a minimalist shoe and this shoe fits that bill, for sure!! They were super light but didn't offer much support, even when I switched out insole with an orthotic insert. They were also pretty narrow for a Merrell shoe.

I really wanted these shoes to work for me. I have an old pair of Merrell light hikers and thought these would replace the old Merrell's. These fit fine but were so sort, I doubt they will hold up for all day walking with support.
