This boot is beautiful. Quality leather and construction as you would expect from Frye. The charcoal color is a rich brown hue that I love. Downsides - feel a little narrow on my medium width foot, but I'm sure they would stretch comfortably. Also kinda hard to put them on. Even with the elastic sides, the shaft is high enough to create a challenge. I'm sending them back and continuing my quest, because as nice as these are, they're not the ones for me!

My new favorite - loved them so much I bought them in two colors! I usually have to go down a half size in Frye boots, since they usually seem to run a bit wide, but bought my normal 7.5 and they were perfect. They might be a little narrow, but once they stretch out a bit, they are just fine for a medium width foot - if you have wide feet, these may not be the boots for you. Took my chances and wore them right out of the box for a weekend in NYC, walking for miles and miles a day, and they were so comfortable and supportive! I love too that they can be dressed up or down - really, really happy with the purchase.

Love this boot! I get compliments everytime I wear them. I bought a .5 size larger when I saw others though they were narrow. The leather has stretched slightly but comfortably. They are easy on --easy off. Definitely recommend !

I am a solid size 8.5 in Frye but recently sized up to a 9 in the Sienna flats. Ordered these in an 8.5 and as others have noted, they are definitely narrower than your average Frye. That being said, I ended up keeping them, though I think most other people would be happier going up a 1/2 size in this particular style. I simply choose to wear mine barefoot or with thin socks. The black oiled suede goes with just above everything in my closet. And they are super comfortable! Will likely own these for years to come.

I love these boots. They are my first Frye, and I think the brand is just too narrow for my feet. I have bunions and these beautiful boots were just not comfortable, even when I sized up. I'm sad to return them. If your feet are on the narrow side, you will love these. They are beautifully made and the style is timeless. Zappos is the best!!

I have only worn these a few times but love them so far. They seemed narrow when I first tried them on but feel good once you walk a bit. I got the black suede and they look good with jeans or with skirts for work. The heel is comfortable for walking but gives you a bit of height.

Ordered my normal size 8 in the fatigue oiled suede. Beautiful boot, excellent quality, surprisingly comfortable, but too much heel slippage. The Frye website says a small amount of heel slippage is normal initially and should subside, but at this price point I couldn't afford to risk it. Such a shame, these were really great looking and well made. If you do not have a narrow heel, give them a try. These fit nicely with a medium weight trouser sock.

I tried this bootie in the brown oiled suede, which was a beautiful cognac color. I didn't like the elastic sides showing. The heel on the brown bootie was a black wood. The inside footbed was padded to aide comfort. The soles of this bootie are extremely slippery. However, I easily corrected the slippery problem on another pair of Frye boots, by putting masking tape on the soles. The problem I have, is that I wear a size 8.5 AAA. Since these booties were a medium width, they didn't work for my narrow foot. As I said earlier, they are very pretty suede.

I have never had to return shoes because they are too narrow, but I couldn't even wear these for 5 minutes.....

This boot is almost impossible to put on, looks awful (to me) and has leather that seemed to be heavy cardboard! I can't speak to how it felt, but it looked very long and narrow. I'd recommend against it.
