I've used this boot when conditions are going to be wintry or wet, and the grip and protection is provides me is great. It's an incredibly light boot but very sturdy and supportive at the same time. Besides all it's utilitarian benefits, this is also just a downright cool looking shoe. Very pleased.

I needed a winter boot that has ice risk management properties. Bought these in January as my Merrell summer boot hikers could not do the job for a one km. walk each day on downtown sidewalks. Wow! what a difference. Only Merrell had what I needed when shopping.. I was ready to screw in ice cleats or use my slip on traction aids. Thank you Merrell for designing these. You may have save a broken wrist or elbow of this 64 year young man.

These are great boots. They are lightweight and fit well. They are warm and though you can still slip a bit on bare ice, your confidence walking over icy patches is raised significantly. I also think they look cool.

Love the ice grip feature on the soles. We had a warm up and a hard freeze just after my purchase of the boots. They performed well on the ice and traction was great. Not sure if performance will be consistent as they wear, but so far so good. I live in the tug hill in NY so there will be plenty of opportunity to keep testing.

Good fit and very comfortable. Waterproof a plus. Not cold enough yet to determine how warm they are.

It's my second pair of Moab and I just love them! My first Moabs followed me for 3 years for more than 1000 miles. I tried another brand, but I didn't find the same confort! I had to go back to Moab!

The runners fit just like my old ones. No break in; just comfortable.

I am very happy with these boots, I love the comfort and warmth, the grip of the soles on snow and ice. I was a little bit surprise about the sizing. They fit perfectly, after all, but I find they are smaller sized than expected. I ordered men's size as women's size is doesn't fit me as well (W 10 versus M 8). But: I absolutely love them. Highly recommended.

Sweet hiking shoes. Very stylish, but more so comfortable and good quality.

I always order merrel winter shoes half size up to accommodate thicker socks. Build quality looks great. Feels comfortable. I will try them on this coming winter.

I wear these boots everyday. They are very comfortable. My feet are always cold, not in these boots, sometimes they are a bit too warm. This was my first pair of Merrell, they won't be my last.

I have been a long time fan of Merrell. I find their boots to be comfortable and durable. It is too soon to attest to the durability (though I am sure it will be great) of the MOAB FST ICE+ THERMO but I can attest to the instant comfort and grip. These are the most comfortable boots yet and the no slip grip performed exactly as advertised. Very impressive. (Good looking boots as well.)

I probably should have gone up a size but these do work . I think the padding inside to keep your feet warm makes the need for a larger size .

Live in Anchorage, AK and spend 9mos being active and outdoors in the Winter. I wear these hiking, fat tire biking, and even running around town. They're light weight and very comfortable for all purposes. My feet haven't gotten cold (and they're typically very sensitive to cold). They're very comfortable, required zero break-in and the Arctic grip is a nice feature. It's not as good as metal spikes, but is far better than a traditional rubber sole on slick surfaces.

I have bought Merrells* for over ten years. I found they have the best quality then other products I wore. I'm a seventy two year old pensioner, and find even with the price a bit high, it is worth it. I recommend either hiking or walking or snow bound Merrell is the fit for me.

I needed a pair of boots that would keep my feet dry and warm while traveling in Iceland where snow was on the ground and rain expected. These boots did the job. Almost every day there had one or both...sometimes pretty deep. No problems. Even some deep slush and no problem. Comfortable right out of the box. Never had to worry about my feet. My rain jacket was another matter...

Very warm and comfortable! After this purchase I bought a pair of slip on mocs. Also great! Nice soles, great grip.

The product arrived in timely manner and was as comfortable and as functional as i expected. In the last 5 years for winter and difficult weather nothing beats Merrell. Highly recommended

After having bought a standard Moab FST waterproof shoe for Fall hiking (which I love) and having owned any number of other Merrell shoes/boots I bought Moab FST Ice + Thermo for Winter weather for hiking, walking the dogs, shoveling snow, etc. knowing that the shoe would be quite comfortable, but wasn't sure how much the grip on ice would work or how warm they would be. I used them this past weekend in the Atlanta area while visiting family after a night of frozen rain waking up to 20 degree temps with black ice all over the roads and sidewalks. I figured a great chance to try the new boots while walking the dog and at first planned to stay on the level ground and walk on the grass as much as possible, but after a few steps on the icy sidewalks I was amazed at the grip the shoes gave me. I ended up going over 3 miles with an energetic puppy pulling going up and down fairly steep hills and did not slip once! It was truly amazing to me the grip I had compared to any other boot I've ever worn. I suffer from raynaud's and have a tough time keeping my feet and toes warm and while being out for over an hour in the 20 degree weather did not feel any cold at all in my feet even though my hands were freezing (with gloves and mittens on top). I cannot recommend this shoe enough to anyone looking for a comfortable boot for walking/hiking/standing that handles ice well and keeps your feet warm without making them sweat too much.
