Cute and comfy boots! I usually wear an 8, so I ordered an 8.5 because I live in the south and planned to wear them for cold rain as much as snow. I figured I wouldn't always wear thick socks with them. No dice. The 8.5 was too small, even with thin socks. I exchanged for a 9. These boots run very small--order a full size (not a half size) up.

Waaaaay too small:( I'm a 7.5 in all brands - but for Sorel I've always needed to size up a half size for length. I wanted to update my Sorels for this winter so I would have a shorter pair (once the snow is shoveled) - look at these photos. Both are size 8! Huge difference in width and length! This new model in general is snug all around & I'm used to wearing a thicker sock with my old Sorels - I tried the new ones on with a summer sock... I love the heel and look & design & I have an average foot for my average, athletic build of 5' 5" 118 lbs. My feet aren't fat but these are made only for boney, narrow feet. I would add a pic of my feet but I can only attach 4 photos & I thought the boot info was more pertinent .... lol - returning these today :-(

Ordered an 8.5. Normally wear an 8. Am getting a 9. Really beautiful boot. the leather color and quality is attractive. Looks great with my rain jacket or my wool coat. Good with leggings and jeans tucked in. Good arch support. Stood still outside 15 minutes in 44 degrees. Didn't feel chilly in the foot.

Gorgeous, and perfect for jumping in puddles after a northeastern rain storm. Which, after all, is why we wear boots in the first place, amiright? :) High enough to keep your feet protected but not so much that they feel overwhelming or constricting. I've walked all through Central Park in these and might as well have been wearing sneakers. So comfortable!

I bought these boots in November 2017 and wore them near daily throughout the winter. I initially ordered my regular size but then returned for a size up which fit better. They are comfortable and warm. The heels were ground down after that season of use (see image), but I figured it was fine since I had worn them so much and I walk a lot. When I started to wear them again for Winter 2018, I noticed that the rubber part that goes above the foot had cracked significantly (see photo). I'm disappointed that these boots have started to fall apart after only 1 season of wear. Previous similarly priced boots I've owned have lasted me 3-4 seasons before getting this significant of wear and tear.

I was interested because of the small heel to add a little style to snow boots. And I do realize they are supposed to be slim because their name says so, Slimpack. But they are just way too narrow for a winter boot. I am guessing Sorel has been criticized for being too wide and bulky and so now they've designed narrower boots. For me this will not work because I know that to create warmth you need wiggle room, regardless of whether you do or don't wear thick wool socks (unless your foot is enveloped in sheepskin). These are so narrow they look weird with the bulky look of the rest of the boot. Can't imagine what they were thinking, certainly not in line with Sorel, perhaps too much competition out there now. As to comfort or arch support can't say because I am returning them so I didn't wear them. But in sizing, I normally wear 6 in sandals and closed shoes, bought these (following review advice) in size 7 and I'd say they are still too small for me to get the wiggle room I want.

Loved the boot but suggest you size up at least 1/2 size - maybe even a full size if you live in colder climate and want to wear two pairs of socks! Normally wear a 9 - 9-1/2 and have ordered a 10 and 10-1/2 in another similar style by Sorel to try (10 & 10-1/2 sold out in this style).

Definitely one full size smaller. I'm a solid 8.5 and have a narrow foot. The 9.5 are good. I realized part of what makes them feel narrow/tight is a unattached fleece-like lining that feels like a sock. It was confusing at first because there was plenty of room in the toe box which is rubber because they are waterproof. So, I imagine the liner thing will easily stretch, although it does give the illusion of being snug. The burgandy/wine color is great, and I don't have any waterproof shoes so I imagine I'll keep these. I've never tried LL Bean or similar.

I absolutely love these boots! The reviews said to size up. I’m a size 6 and ordered a 6 1/2 and the felt perfect for me, although my toes just hit the tip of the boot, they felt fine for me. I could see how they’re be narrow for some people especially if you have a wide foot. But Iam petite and a half size up was perfect but I think a whole size up woulda been fine as well. The boot feels stiff so if this is an issue for you I would take that into consideration. The grip felt good but on ice they are slippery. Most shoes are slippery on ice, I have yet to find boot that will grip on ice. So with that being said I’d recommend these boots all day they are so stylish with a skinny jean or even sweats. An everyday wear in the winters of Wisconsin. They are definitely water proof and they are padded all the way through. Love love love these!

Finally found a snow boot that I love! I am usually an 8 or 8.5 but in this boot I needed to size up to a 9.5! These boots run small but feel great. I feel feminine and cute in these!

I should of listened to the majority of reviews. I have an older pair of these in a size 10. I ordered another 10, however they were too small. My toes touched the top of the boot. I’ll reorder a 10 1/2.. I never wear socks with these boots.

Based on other reviews, I ordered one full size larger than normal (I ordered a 12 instead of an 11). So glad I read the reviews, these do in fact run a full size small. They are very comfortable and super cute. Can't wait to wear them this fall and winter!

I bought these and the sperry saltwater. I liked the sperry better in the leg. This boot is very rigid in the calf and hits me in a weird place so it digs in a bit when I walk. I will try to loosen them up. I chose these over the sperry because they were warmer (but not hot) and fit better in the toe. The sperry was too wide. Also, these have some padding and arch support where the sperry had none at all. I was pulling for the Sperry because I liked the dark brown calf but most of all liked the zip on the side. Wish the sorrel had a zip. Bought these for wet and temperature above 20. Below that I have the sorrel Joan of arc, which is the best boot I’ve ever owned. Keeps my feet toasty in regular socks no matter the temps.

I had heavily researched different brands, and styles and thought this was a good fit. However, after wearing the shoes outside in the elements I was greatly disappointed. I have other non winter boots that keep my feet warmer than these. After several days I just ended up wearing my Dr. Martens.

A little bulky looking around the ankle and a bit shorter of a boot than I wanted, but overall the style was cute. As others have said, these run way small. I usually wear a 9 in women’s so after reading all the reviews I ordered a 9.5 and they were still a little tight with a thick wool sock. I would have needed a 10. The width was fine. My other concern was how these were going to perform in the snow and super cold weather. There’s only a thin layer of fabric and rubber between your toes and the outside and I suspect you’d be freezing in minutes, even with crazy thick socks on. They’re cute, but they’re just not insulated and comfortable enough to keep.

These are a good pair of waterproof boots. However, after having them for only 1 month the heel to the boot started to fall off. I had only worn them a handful of times - I am returning these! They also run very small. I am usually a 10 and bought an 11.

I originally reviewed these glowingly, but after having worn them in the snow I have to revise my review. I stepped into a VERY shallow puddle of melted snow - it didn't even come up over the toe of the boot, really just the sole was wet - and water came right in; the toes of my socks were soaked. I'm shocked and disappointed, since Sorel is such a good name and the boots aren't cheap (and they claim to be totally waterproof!). I thought *maybe* it was a weird fluke, so I wore them another day - just walking down the damp sidewalk, not wading through snow drifts or anything - and the same thing happened. I contacted Zappos customer service, and they let me exchange them for another brand, which shipped out the same day. I'm disappointed by Sorel, but once again very impressed by Zappos service!

These boots are just not built to last. The photos below show the 2 pairs I have purchased. Green ones are 2 years old. Black ones are not quite one year old. I do not wear these everyday, but at least 3 days per week in a North Dakota winter. There is snow and ice here for a good part or our winters. I like the warmth and style, but have been extremely disappointed with the heel quality. I have other boots with similar heels that have not broken like this. Sorel does not cover this under warranty and does not have a service to repair. Buyer beware. I wouldn’t buy them unless your planning on routine cobbler repairs.

Hello everyone, just leaving this quick review to help you out. This shoe is indeed one full size smaller. I ordered 8.5 per most of the reviews (I am size 7.5) and it is snug with normal socks. I am keeping it. Very nice boots !
